Apple news - Original Signal

Orginal Signal aggregates the 15 most popular Apple sites. The main purpose of the site is to provide
a quick glance on what's happening without using your desktop/web RSS reader. New headlines (since your
last cookied visit) come in pretty orange, visited ones are grey. All credits go to the authors of these weblogs.
Without their hard work Original Signal would not exist. Original Signal was inspired by Popurls and the Web 2.0 Workgroup.

It’s the next big thing. It’s what makes all the great—and cool—websites, not to mention powerful mobile apps (like LinkedIn’s new app for iOS). What is it? HTML 5 and CSS. Demand for HTML5-powered sites is going through the roof. Everyone wants an amazing site that behaves just like an app. The question is,

Apple updated its recently-released iOS 5.1.1 edition today for one specific iPhone model without changing the version number, likely representing only a minor bugfix in the new release. The update, which is distinguished by its build number (9B208 instead of the 9B206 built that was distributed), did not come with any release notes. For those already on the original build of 5.1.1, the update can only be downloaded through iTunes or by direct download....

Chinese news site ifeng has managed to boldly go where few, including Apple CEO Tim Cook, have gone before -- inside of the Zhengzhou Foxconn facility to get a peek at how iPhones are made. There's nothing new that we haven't seen on ABC's Nightline regarding the factory, as The Verge points out, but the video does provide a good sense of how big one of these factories are and offers a glimpse into how iPhones are produced. Check out the full video below, but no English subtitles are provided.Catch a glimpse of an iPhone assembly line originally appeared on TUAW - The Unofficial Apple Weblog on Sat, 26 May 2012 18:00:00 EST.
