Central Florida Congressional races attract out-of-district candidates

Some candidates were in the district they want to represent until the Florida Legislature this spring approved new boundaries for the seats, hoping to give Republicans a greater advantage in the U.S. House of Representatives.

After Rep. Dan Webster announced he was retiring from Congress, candidates of both parties lined up to run for the open seat. The field includes at least three major-party candidates who don't live in the district, which includes most of Lake County, as well as part of Orange County and all of Sumter County.
