Can Tim Cook’s Office Unlock iPhone 4 4.11.08 Baseband?

Ever since the original iPhone was released, the only thing that people have been talking about is how to unlock the iPhone. Apple seemed to know that people would want to unlock the iPhone, and that’s why they made the iPhone in such a way that unlocking some of the basebands has proven to be very difficult. One of the basebands which is considered to be very tough to unlock is the 4.11.08; however, there is a chance that R-SIM 4 and ApplenBerry might just be able to unlock it. According to recent reports, an email was sent to Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, by an AT&T user and in the email, it was stated that the carrier wouldn’t unlock the iPhone with international SIM cards. Most of you might know that AT&T doesn’t even unlock the locked devices even after the contract has expired. Nevertheless, AT&T was instructed by Cook’s office to take care of the customer’s needs who sent the email. This news has led to a lot of people emailing Tim Cook (tcook@apple.com) in order to see if they can get their iPhone unlocked as well.

According to 9to5Mac, special orders were given by Tim Cook and six more people also had their iPhones unlocked, and all of them received an email from the Partnership Operations Team. The AT&T’s operations team also asked the same people to provide their IMEI numbers for further processing.

We can tell that many of you can’t wait to send an email yourself. However, you should know that you should send an email only if you got an iPhone from AT&T and the email you write should be effective. If you are eligible, then you might just get your iPhone unlocked as well!

We do know that a lot of you are stuck with an iPhone 4 with locked to AT&T. Some of the devices have the 4.12.01 basebands which comes with the iOS 5.1 while almost 90% have the 4.11.08. People who sent the email also included the fact that how frustrating it was for them when they are unable to use their devices outside the US.

Aero Cydia Tweak Re-Imagines Apple’s Multitasking

We all know that Apple has its own native multitasking feature and over the past few weeks, a lot of developers have released a lot of their work on the Cydia store. This work allows users to experience an alternative to the Apple multitasking feature. A new tweak by the name ‘Aero’ has been released and this tweak re-imagines Apple’s multitasking, and it even tries to bring users a more interesting, beautiful and engaging experience. This Aero Cydia tweak has been developed by SBCoders. You might remember the name, as they were the ones who brought us all another tweak called ‘Deck’. The Aero tweak provides application switching animations, which are present in the multitasking bar.

When you install this tweak in your device, it allows users to multitask and enables users to see all the running apps and even allow them to switch between them. The basic idea behind Aero is to give the functionality to users which they are used to, but in an engaging and beautiful interface.

This tweak gives users: Activator compatibility, nine animations which are; Cover Flow, Linear, Wheel, Rotary, Time Machine and even Cylinder. Users can also enable a ‘wrap’ mode. This makes the running apps wrap around the device’s screen when you scroll through them. Aero also provides users with the ability to remove the apps from the background.
Everyone wants to be able to multitask on an iOS device, and the ‘Aero’ tweak has taken multitasking to the next step. The features present in the ‘Aero’ tweak seem to be a combination of the Barrel and the Cmd+Tab tweak. You can get this tweak from the ModMyi repository for $1.99.

You might think that it’s costly, but it’s useful for you if you have gotten bored with the multitasking switcher bar, present by default.

HTC EVO One: Leaked Images Show The Device From All Angles

HTC EVO One was to be unveiled at Print and HTC’s joint event. But we have a few pictures to show you to as many of you are likely to miss out on the event. The folks over at An.Droid Life were able to get their hands on the device. Now, we are able to see the device at all angles. The early hands-on confirms the device will have an 8 megapixel camera, 4.7 inch 720p display, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera and Android 4.0.3 build with HTC Sense 4.0. The images you are going to see are mainly focused on the backside of the device.

Compared to HTC One X and One S, the design is a bit odd. However, what is prominent in the images is the HTC EVO One’s red kickstand, which is visible on the upper portion of the phone. Apart from that, the performance falls in line with that expected from a flagship device. The camera has a super smooth interface and great picture quality. In addition, the device is expected to include a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 chip, 1 GB of RAM, Beats Audio and LTE connectivity. However, there are rumors that CPU can be a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 like on the European One X.

The button at the bottom right of the device may be because of the camera. It’s the perfect position and it would make us happy if that is really what it’s for. There are also rumors for a beefier battery than both the international GSM/HPSA+ version as well as the AT&T LTE 4G edition. The extra battery life would go well with power users who consume unlimited data still on the Now Network.

Unlocking Trophies In Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

Earlier, we told you all how you could unlock bronze trophies in the new installment in the Resident Evil series, by the name Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City or R.E: Operation Raccoon City for short! This new installment is more action oriented when compared to the previous Resident Evil installments which were based on survival horror and puzzle solving. Many people consider that this kind of branching-off is good for the series as the market for survival horror is not as big as the games that are action oriented and developers might take this route in the upcoming Resident Evil 6 as well, only time will tell. For those of you, who want to unlock the trophies, just read after the break!

The trophies which are talked about in this guide are the Bronze ones which you will easily be able to unlock if you read about the process talked about below;

Down Boy (15 points/ Bronze Trophy)

You need to kill 13 zombie dogs. There are only three dogs in story mode so, load up Mission Five: Expendable and during the start, you will pass some empty dog kennels, and a dog will attack you. After that, kill it and then let a zombie kill you or go around the corner and burn yourself in the fire. Then just respawn and kill the dog 13 times.

Corrupted (20 points/ Bronze Trophy)

Simply complete the second mission of the USS campaign. You will unlock this when you complete Mission Two: Corruption in story campaign.

Danger, High voltage (20 Points/ Bronze Trophy)

Complete Mission Three: Lights Out in the single player campaign.

Died Trying (15 points/ Bronze Trophy)

During the last chapter, you will be provided with a choice of defending Leon. If you defend him and die during the mission, you will unlock this.

Down in the Labs (20 points/ Bronze trophy)

You need to complete the sixth mission of the USS campaign. All you need to do is complete Mission Six: Redemption during the single player campaign.

Nike+ FuelBand For Workouts And FireDock For Amazon Kindle Fire

Today, we have two cool new gadgets for you all. First, Nike has once again come up with a new device for monitoring your exercising statistics. This bracelet displays the exercising statistics in a LED lights and even has an app, and all the data can be sent to the Nike+ website, and you fulfill your fitness goals. Second, we have the FireDock for the Amazon Kindle Fire. Read all about these two cool new gadgets, right after the break!

First, we will talk about the Nike+ FuelBand. As mentioned earlier, this FuelBand is capable of displaying your exercise statistics in LED lights. It also comes with an app and a link to the Nike+ website. Both the app and the website are there to help you complete your exercising goals. This bracelet starts the day red and then turns to yellow and then green as the fitness goals are reached during your daily exercise.

The new FuelBand’s design looks more comfortable than the other larger fitness devices meant to be worn on the wrists. The display makes it more user-friendly as well as the fact that the device can also be synced wirelessly. This device comes in three different sizes, and it should cost around $149. You can currently get it from Nike.com.

Now, let’s talk about the new FireDock from Grace Digital, and is meant for the Amazon Kindle Fire. The FireDock is a charging speaker dock that has a full-range high-quality stereo sound which is specifically for enhancing the audio and video features in the Kindle Fire.

You will be able to get the FireDock this July, and it will cost $129.99 a piece. Many of you might be thinking that the price is too high; however, the manufacturers are providing customers with a USB port, a headphone jack and a power button present at the bottom of the tablet, to compensate for the high price. The FireDock is different from the other 3.5mm speaker docks which don’t provide charging while the device is in use, and it is also very difficult for people to access the device’s buttons due to their position and the design of the device.

This FireDock is able to charge the Kindle Fire while the dock is hooked to the AC power and there is another option for customers. The manufacturers are also separately selling a lithium-ion battery pack which provides maximum portability. The FireDock also has a rotating cradle which can hold a 7-inch tablet is a very secure and safe manner. It doesn’t matter if you want to place it horizontally or even in a vertical viewing angle, the FireDock is able to provide it with proper support.

Install Android 4.0.1 ICS On Ainovo Novo 7 Basic (HOW TO TUTORIAL)

Ainovo’s Novo 7 Basic slate received a minor update by Ainovo few months ago. If you don’t know how to update your tablet to the latest firmware, you have come to the right place. The tablet has a 7 inch multi touch capacitive display, runs on JZ4770 mobile applications processor along with its Vivante GC860 GPU. It also flaunts its rear and front cameras, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, USB 2.0, HDMI 1.3, micro SD and 1080 video decoding.

This update can’t be installed on any other Ainovo Novo 7 slates. The Novo 7 Paladin will have to wait. Apart from that you need to make sure the battery doesn’t go below 75 percent. How To Install Android 4.0.1 ICS On Ainovo Novo 7 Basic

Step 1: First of all, download Android 4.0.1 Ice Cream Sandwich Pack from this link. After this, transfer the compressed file to the tablet via USB connectivity and save the file into the root directory of the slate’s SD card storage.

Step 2: The next step is to update the file to update.zip and boot the slate to Download Mode. For this, switch off the tablet then hold the Volume Up button while pressing the Power button. A man logo will appear after a few seconds.

Step 3: Don’t press on any key for five seconds while in download mode. The update process will be started automatically by the slate and it will take the update.zip file from the root directory of the SD card. The tablet will automatically reboot once the update is complete.

How to Get Bronze trophies In R.E: Operation Raccoon City

The new installment in the Resident Evil series has released, and many of you might have already played it. As promised, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City provides a new take on the horror-survival franchise and has added the ‘action’ element to the series. Like all the games for the PS3 and the Xbox360, this game also has a lot of trophies and achievements that can be unlocked, and you can brag about them to your friends. Below, you’ll get to read a simple guide that will allow you to unlock the bronze trophies, present in the game!

The trophies present in the game can be collected either in the multiplayer versus mode or the story mode. Keep in mind that unlocking them in versus mode can be difficult if you don’t have a friend to help you. Having a friend in the Story mode is also helpful as that way you don’t have to rely too much on your A.I teammates. So, let’s start!

A Gun by Any Other Name (15 points/Bronze trophy)

You need to kill an enemy with each weapon type and even with the special weapons. The gun types that you will require are: Shotgun, pistol, submachine gun, Assault Rifle, Light Machine gun and the Sniper Rifle. These weapons can be bought and found in the campaigns from Spec-ops enemies. You can find the flamethrower in a case atop the walkway which is above you and to the right of the first roon you enter. The grenade launcher is present in the last room when fighting the ‘Boss’.

A Hero Spared (15 points/Bronze trophy)

You need to kill 13 teammates who have turned into zombies. This is simple, just kill your teammates when they turn into zombies, 13 times.

Betrayal (20 points/Bronze Trophy)

Just complete the fifth mission on the USS campaign. You can complete this by playing the single player campaign.

Bloody Good Time (20 Points/Bronze Trophy)

You need to kill 5 enemies by causing a Blood Frenzy in single player campaign mode or multiplayer match. Make your enemy bleed and a red mist will appear on them, and they will begin to attract zombies. You can unlock this where Spec Ops and zombies are present at the same time. So, give this a try in Mission 2 or 4.

By Trail of Death (10 Points/Bronze trophy)

Kill 50 opponents in versus mode. If you want to keep things easy, then you can do versus with your friends and kill them 50 times.

Chaos Averted (5 Points/Bronze trophy)

Simply kill an infected teammate, in any mode, before they transform into a zombie. Make sure to shoot them in the head.

Choices Aplenty (15 Points/Bronze trophy)

Just purchase 15 weapons through the character selection screen before the mission rounds start.

Clingy (10 Points/Bronze trophy)

When you play the fourth mission: Gone Rogue, you will see yourself entering an Umbrella laboratory for extracting a parasite from a Tyrant. You will see a few parasites latching onto zombies. When you extract the parasite from the Tyrant, go to the second floor.

There, kill 13 Parasite zombies to unlock the trophy.

AppUpdateNotifier: Turn App Store Updates Into Notifications

Apple gave rise to the App Store way back in 2008 and in a few years it has millions of people visiting it for downloading and installing a variety of different apps on their Apple devices. According to recent reports by Apple, the App Store has had more than 25 billion downloads until now! Yes, almost all of us can’t go on with our lives without the App Store, however, with only one drawback. When a user has installed an app then there’s no way they can get to know that an update for the app has been released. People who visit the App Store daily know about the updates but the people who don’t visit the App Store for days, will have to keep using the installed app without knowing about the update. ‘AppUpdateNotifier’ is a tweak that will allow people to receive notifications about updates for the apps that are installed in a device. The AppUpdateNotifier is currently available through Cydia for jailbroken devices. Its function is to turn the App Store updates into notifications for the device for using the iOS 5 banner style notification system. When you install this tweak in your device, then this tweak will automatically check the App Store for updates for the apps installed in the device, and it will then notify the user through a native alert. This is very useful as the App Store has hundreds of apps being added on daily basis.

This tweak costs $1.49, and it requires iOS 5 or higher. Though this tweak is useful, Apple also introduced the App Store to badge its own icon when it finds a new update, in the iOS 5. This tweak works the same way but gives a banner style notification.

Resident Evil Developer: “Survival Horror Market Is Too Small”

The first Resident Evil or R.E was the game that changed the whole survival horror genre. It provided players with the ‘zombie’ concept in a new way and it gave birth to characters that would be one of the most recognized all over the world. When the R.E series started out, we saw a group of people started in a mansion that was overrun by the ‘undead’. Though the characters had weapons, the basic emphasis was given to the ‘survival horror’ genre. Then further installments came, which strengthened the characters and the story-line, however, we saw something change when R.E 4 was released and our fears were confirmed when we played R.E 5….the series had diverted from the ‘Survival horror’ route and had become more action-oriented. Masachika Kawata, the producer of Resident Evil Revelations explains why series strayed away from its original roots, after the break!

Resident Evil 5 was the installment in the R.E series which showed us that the game had gone over to being action-oriented. During an interview, Masachika said that the R.E series needs to keep going on the path shown in R.E 4 and R.E 5 and even “take that a step further” in order for the series to survive. He further mentioned that if we look at the marketing data for survival horror games, we’ll see that the market is small when we compare it to how many units Call of Duty and other action games sell. A Resident Evil game based totally on the survival horror genre won’t be able to sell that many units.

I mean, seriously….When did the developers become so much greedy? They should understand that the only reason that Resident Evil became such a great success was because it was ‘survival horror’ and changing that will ruin the loyal fan base that the series has. I played R.E 5 and though I liked that fact that they brought ‘Chris’ back, I didn’t like that the whole game felt like Call of Duty with zombies rather than a new R.E series installment.

Masachika Kawata also added, during the interview, that it’s not necessary to make the series totally similar to Call of Duty and suggested that the series could try the old survival horror thing or they explore a new territory through side games or even spin-offs.

The only thing I’m hearing is that the developers want to make more money from as many different ways that they can. You can see that the franchise has branched out with the release of the third-person action-horror game ‘Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City’ and the same can be seen in the trailer for Resident Evil 6, which is set to be released this November.
