CB: I’m asked this question on a daily basis, so I might as well answer it. I’ll never say never when it comes to 24. It’s been such a special part of my life and an honor working with all of the incredibly talented people that have helped make the show the success that it’s been. That being said, I have not been contacted by the studio or producers of 24 about season 8. They’re already well into filming next season and I’m about to start work on a film in South Carolina. So, at this point, I highly doubt that I’ll be involved in the next season of 24.

24 Scoop: More on Katee Sackhoff as Dana Walsh

If this is the last season of 24, the long-running Fox hit is pulling out all the guest-starring stops.

Freddie Prince Jr. and Katee Sackhoff are both coming on board the drama, playing key roles at the new, New York-based CTU.

Sackhoff spoke to Sci-Fi Wire this week about her role as Dana Walsh. A few excerpts from the interview…

Walsh is Chloe’s boss: “Dana is permanently happy,” the actress said. “I think that also pisses Chloe off, because Dana’s like, ‘Oh, no, it’s totally fine that you don’t get it. Let me help you. It’s great. I’ll do that. It’s fine. You don’t need to figure it out, because I’m good enough to do both our jobs.’ So that really pisses Chloe off.”

spoilers: “I don’t know if anyone thinks that’s actually a big secret,’” she joked “Could you imagine? So this is a 24 episode, and the whole season is just about nothing. No controversy, nobody dies, nobody gets beat up, Jack Bauer doesn’t do anything. He might not even show up, and for 24 hours that would just be what it is. Could you imagine?”

’24’s Wynter lands ‘Damages’ role

24 star Sarah Wynter has landed a role on FX’s Damages, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The 36-year-old actress, who played Kate Warner on Fox’s real-time drama, has reportedly been cast in the recurring role of a mysterious “security specialist” who helps an assistant district attorney unravel a financial scam.

The story arc will see her reunited with fellow 24 alum Reiko Aylesworth, who was recently cast in
the third season.

Additionally, Martin Short and Campbell Scott have joined Damages as series regulars. Aylesworth will play the wife of Scott’s character, who is tied to the money scheme.

The anticipation for Season Eight of 24 continues to surge with Gregory Itzin reprising his acclaimed role as CHARLES LOGAN. The Emmy Award-winning drama starring Kiefer Sutherland returns for its next astonishing day with a two-night, four-hour premiere event Sunday, Jan. 17 (9:00-11:00 PM ET/PT) and Monday, Jan. 18 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

The disgraced former President Logan was last seen after being shockingly stabbed by First Lady MARTHA LOGAN (Jean Smart) in Season Six. Itzin’s return to 24 will bring together the series’ two Emmy-nominated “presidents” for the first time when sitting President ALLISON TAYLOR (Emmy Award winner Cherry Jones) reluctantly enlists Logan to assist with an escalating international diplomatic crisis.

When asked about this on-screen pairing, 24 executive producer Howard Gordon said, “The opportunity for these two remarkable actors to share the stage was simply too compelling to pass up.”

Season Eight resets in New York City where a retired JACK BAUER (Sutherland) is unwillingly drawn back into the intense action after learning of a plot to assassinate Middle Eastern peace-keeping leader OMAR HASSAN (Anil Kapoor). Gregory Itzin is returning to 24 as lunatic ex-prez Charlies Logan for a multi-episode arc. Logan will resurface towards the end of Day 8 when Cherry Jones’ President Taylor reluctantly enlists her disgraced predecessor to assist with an escalating diplomatic crisis.

24 exec producer Howard Gordon says the opportunity to watch Jones and Itzin go head-to-head “was simply too compelling to pass up.”

Logan was last seen in season 6 after being stabbed to near-death by his equally mental former wife Martha. At the time, 24’s then-executive producer Jon Cassar revealed that the initial script called for Logan to die. “I did everything I could not to kill him,” he said. “I wanted to give us the [option] to potentially bring him back.”

24 returns with its customary two-night, four-hour premiere on Jan. 17 and 18.

September brought quite a bit of news for the 8th season, including the additions of Katee Sackhoff, Rami Malek, Julian Morris, Hrach Titizian and Stephen Root. This is your initial look at at Jack Bauer’s return (scheduled for January).

Starting at 4PM, The January 17 premiere will guest star Elisha Cuthbert, as Bauer’s daughter.
