Big Love – new season premiering January 10

I hear “Mamma Mia!” bride Amanda Seyfried will be getting back into a wedding dress for the new season of Big Love. Although Sarah will only be getting one husband, she’ll get a new set of in-laws with the introduction of Scott’s conservative Mormon mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Quitman.

When I recently ran into one of Sarah’s TV “moms,” Ginnifer Goodwin, who plays Bill’s youngest wife, Margene, she about freaked when I asked her about the top-secret nuptials. “I can’t talk about that!” she said. “But I will tell you that Margene does something next season that in my own esteem is so horrible that I had trouble even performing it.”

Might this have something to do with her forbidden crush on “son” Ben? We’ll find out in the new season, premiering January 10.

Big Love to Introduce New Characters

The new season of Big Love kicks off in January.

As previously announced, Zeljko Ivanek will return to the HBO hit as J.J. – and he won’t come back alone.

Viewers will meet the character’s parents early in season four, as we can’t wait to see the adults responsible for J.J. and Wanda. As for others to be introduced in early 2010?

Look for Ana’s fiancé from Serbia to make an appearance.

Ivanek has been a busy man. He appeared on Heroes last season, earned an Emmy for his work on Damages and will likely reprise his role as the Magister on True Blood at some point.

Child Actress Gets Bigger Role on ‘Big Love’

Eleven-year-old Bella Thorne will play not the niece of Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn) and daughter of Cindy (Judith Hoag) as previously reported, but will instead take the role of Barb’s daughter Tancy, to replace Jolean Wejbe, who played the role during Big Love’s first three seasons.

Thorne has appeared on Entourage, The OC, and in five episodes of the now canceled Dirty Sexy Money. She also played Christian Slater’s daughter on the NBC series My Own Worst Enemy. Her Big Love character will reportedly have deep anger issues.

HBO has announced that Big Love’s fourth season is set to kick off in January next year.

Actor Ben Koldyke will join the cast as a recurring character who has been struggling with his homosexuality in the gay reparative group, Evergreen.
