(Kompas, 21/06/2008) Our reputed client, a large, diversified, multibilion US$ Indian Business Group, is in need of a Head Business Coordination. The inclumbent would be a well qualified, mature, dynamic professional with the relevant experience to establish the group's coal mining operations in Indonesia, based in Jakarta. Having had a successful track record in negotiating and managing large coal interest in Indonesia, he would have in-depth business expertise relating to coal and coal-mining operations. Knowledge of Indonesian goverment rules, policies and procedures in this sphere, coupled with the roresight ang ability to confidently negotiate issues, are essential pre requisites.

The broad KRAs of the position would be:

Networking and Iiasoning ; at different levels of federal, provincial, and regency for all permits, approvals related to mine project like environment and forestry approval, obtaining/extending exploration, mining license etc expeditiously.
Business Development; through a well-developed network with the appropriate people fer referrals renew coal investment opportunities, acquisition of coal properties (new or operational), etc.
Administrative Sipport; to set up the office in Jakarta to provide all administrative and logistic support for the team, as well as set up project office close to mine location, once any project development starts.
MIS & feedback; develop a business understanding of the coal industry, other key players, their performance, expansion plans, etc.

The position reports into the Head of Coal Energy Business based at their corporate office at Bangalore, in India. Compensation will be attractive, in line with industry norms, and is not a constraint for the right candidate.
