Featured Event - Sicilian Wine Tasting

SICILIAN WINE CLASS WITH GUNTHER DI GIOVANNA

Saturday, July 18th at 2:00pm

Di Giovanna is an estate situated at Sicily's geographic center with vineyards located high above the floating land that are managed in full respect to organic farming principles. The Di Giovannas have been viticulturist for more than five generations in Sicily, which explains the extreme passion with which brothers, Gunther and Klaus Di Giovanna, approach their daily tasks. A mixed Sicilian and German heritage results in an energetic, though slightly atypical, mix of hard working attitude and straight-shooting intuition. With the help of famed consulting enologist, Riccardo Cotarella, the Di Giovanna winery is one of the emerging stars of Sicilian winemaking.

Join us for a afternoon as we taste through five wines from the Di Giovanna estate. Winemaker, Gunther Di Giovanna, will be on hand to explain the intricacies of the wines and how they relate to the land, the climate, and the culture of Sicilian winemaking. As always, included with the class are OTTO's signature house cured meats along with imported Italian cheeses.

Please note that this event will be held in our enoteca at the standing only tables.

$45 Per Person + tax
