Event Description: This edition of Udyan Utsav 2025 will be a landscaping marvel where visitors can witness Coleus, Celosia, Tuberose and many other rare seasonal flowers in full glory. The key attraction will be the beautiful floral patterns of Tulips and 100+ varieties of Roses.

Further, visitors can spend time in multiple attractions, a specially curated garden for children called Bal Vatika with story of a 225-year-old Sheesham tree, a treehouse, Nature’s classroom etc. Then there are the Bonsai, Circular Gardens with diverse variety of flora and fauna. There is also a vibrant food court where visitors can have refreshments and witness ongoing exhibitions.

About Amrit Udyan (earlier Mughal Gardens): This garden has 250 types of roses which make it the best rose garden in the world. The evergreen fragrant shrubs and creepers which are planted along the terrace wall are Raat ki Rani, Mogra, Motiy, Juhi, Bignenia Vanista ( Golden Showers ), Gardenia, Rhyncospermum, Petrea, Harshringar, Bougainvillea, Adenocalymma( Garlic Creeper ), Hedera Helix, Climbing Roses, Tecoma Grandiflora, The Rangoon Creeper. Event Description: 38th Surajkund International Crafts Mela

A splash of colours, rhythm of drum beats and joy de-Vivre merge at Surajkund in Faridabad, Haryana during the first fortnight of each February. The curtains go up on the acclaimed annual Surajkund International Crafts Mela from 1st February onwards, a celebration of Indian folk traditions and cultural heritage.

Occupying a place of pride on the international tourist calendar, more than a million visitors throng the Mela during the fortnight including thousands of foreign tourists. The Surajkund Mela is unique as it showcases the richness and diversity of the handicrafts, handlooms and cultural fabric of India, & is the largest crafts fair in the world.

A large number of renowned national and international folk artistes and cultural groups present day performances at both the Chaupals, and the open-air theatres, located in the Mela premises. Also, enthralling cultural evening programmes are held at the main Chaupal during each of the Mela evenings. The Mela is indeed a custodian of heritage crafts involving the use of traditional skills that are fading away due to cheap machine-made imitations, and a special section is earmarked for showcasing these heritage crafts.

The multi-cuisine Food Court provides ethnic cuisines from all over the world, which are immensely popular with visitors. There are designated places for amusement, adventure sports and joy rides to make it a must-visit event for the young.

Event Description: Bharat Rang Mahotsava (BRM) 2025

This ‘Rang Maha Kumbh’, the confluence of theatre, which started in the year 1999 and has now assumed an international character, cherishes a creative rich history in itself, in which not only Indian but also the global theatre cultures from across the world has been brought together on a single platform with the experience of one earth one family. The audience also gets the opportunity to directly interact with intercultural theatre discourse, in which along with the classicism of ancient drama, the most modern theatre movements as well as a rich world of diverse folk and traditional theatre varieties are presented to the theatre lovers.

Background: The National School of Drama is one of the best Theatre institutes in the world, and the only one of its kind in India and Asia, which has played a major role in Theatre training as well as in the Indian Theatre movement. An important part of this Theatre movement is ‘Bharat Rang Mahotsav’, which is today considered as one of the biggest Theatre festivals in the world, in which there is a holistic confluence of Indian as well as global Theatre cultures.
