Videos On How To Straddle The News

This is not the EA used on the videos but its better. You don't need to put the position 5 seconds before the news release (it can be a problem with the broker by to fill the orders quickly) you can put a pending orders 1 minute before the news those orders will be modifying according to the price an 1 second before the news stop modifying them. Also it eliminates the bad phycological influence by taking a position 5 second before news.

EA’s settings:

1) Pipsaway - how many pips above and/or below the current price the orders will be placed

2) TP - Target Profit, you enter the amount of pips, when your order gets into profit this amount of pips, it will be automatically closed

3) SL – Stop Loss amount in pips

4) NDay - News Day

5) NHour - News Hour

6) NMin - News Minute
These three parameters (day, hour and min) are your broker's date and time

7) CTCBN – Numbers Candles to check Before News For determining High & Lows , when it is 1 it check 2 Candles the current candle and the 1 last one; This parameter was used in version 1.7 do automatically determine the amount of pip for a SL (stop loss), it's not used in version 1.8 (hmmmm, I guess it should be removed then )

8) SecBPO - Seconds Before News Which EA Will Place Pending Orders; well this is not going to happen at the exact second you specified, because EA code is executed only when a tick signal comes from your broker, but around the news price movements are frequent so you will probably not notice the difference

9) SecBMO - Seconds Before News Which EA Will Stop Modifying Orders; Now, once your order are placed, the EA will follow the price movement and modify orders accordingly so that they are always exactly "Pipsaway" pips away from the current price. With some volatile news this can be quite often, so if that creates a problem with your broker you can set this to half of the value you put for SecBPO, if you put this to be equal as SecBPO than EA will not modifie the orders at all

10) STWAN - Seconds To Wait After News to Delete Pending Orders; this is the timer to cancel all the order that did not get triggered

11) OCO - One Cancel The Other, true or false, will cancel the other pending order if one of them is hit; if this is set to true, when your buy orders get hit the corresponding sell orders will be, at the same moment, cancelled, and vise versa, without waiting for STWAN time

12) BEPips - Pips In profit which EA will Move SL to BE+1 after that; a nice way to lock in some profit, if you leave it at 0 nothing will happen

13) TrailingStop – Trailing Stop ; enter the amount of pips you want your trailing stop to be and EA will track all profitable orders

14) mm - Money Management; true or false; if you set it to true, EA will automatically determine the number of lots for your orders, in according to the risk you are willing to take

15) RiskPercent - The risk you are willing to take on any single order

16) Lots - Number of Lots for your orders; if you set mm to false, than you have to tell to EA how many lots to use for the orders; so if you put here 1, every order will be placed with 1 lot

17) TradeLog - EA will use this to create a name for the log file. You will find this file in the experts folder of your MT4 platform, with detailed explanations what took place while EA was running.

A nice freware programm to add to the testing EA arsenal.

You can choose a new starting balance and a few other starting balance options. Its nice to just pop in a different starting balance and get an instant updated report with that balance instead of having to rerun a who bunch of tests.

Mini Manual from official site:

Select File -> Open Report to open previously generated MetaTrader backtest report (.htm files). The report’s filename will appear in the Reports panel. You can click on it to see the balance chart (Chart panel), the statistics of the report (Details panel) and the list of all orders (Statement panel). This can take a while because the list of orders are loaded into memory. Note that drawdown values may differ from original report because these are calculated from balance, not equity (it is little less accurate but without historical quotes it is impossible to base on equity). If there are two or more opened reports you can aggregate them. Make sure that the check boxes of the reports you want to combine are turned on. Then use File -> Merge Reports in the main menu. A new report will appear with different icon. Click on it to see aggregated balance chart, report’s statistics and the list of orders. If you want to remove any report from the list, first select it and then click on Delete Selected Report icon in the top of Reports panel. Moreover you can save selected report to .htm file. To do this just select a report and click on Save Selected Report icon in the top of Reports panel. The program will create one .htm, one image (.png) and additionally CSV file with the list of all orders.

Tips: You can open more than one report at once by holding Shift/Ctrl key in the Open dialog. You can zoom in a balance chart by dragging the cursor over it from the upper left corner of selected area to the bottom right corner. To zoom out drag the cursor in the opposite direction. You can even aggregate already merged reports. Simply turn on their check boxes. You can resize each panel or even change its position. You can set the custom value of the initial deposit of an aggregated report. Moreover you can change some parameters of saved reports. There is also possibility to set you working path. All above you can configure in Options -> Preferences… from the main menu. You can open a report that was previously saved to .htm file and use it to merging with other reports.

How it works

Basically, Forex Cleaner sells at the top and buys at the bottom when market conditions are appropriate. The average trading frequency is quite high for a robot that is not a scalper, it trades once per day on average, but don’t be surprised if sometimes you won’t see a single trade for days.

Used indicators: Bollinger Bands, ATR and Moving average, mixed with a price analysis algorithm. It uses open prices only, therefore it’s not spread dependent because it trades on M30.

The good news is, that all backtests must match and there is no difference between a demo account, a live account and a backtest.

You might have seen some nice looking backtests belonging to other commercial robots, but live and even demo trading was far above expectations. And that was just because in real trading, the spread changes, some brokers don’t supply high quality feeds and the execution time is high. Not to mention that sometimes the connection with the server is lost.

We have managed to overcome these problems by trading only when a new candle is formed. 30 minutes must pass until a new candle is formed. When a new candle is formed, the robot “decides” if the market conditions are appropriate for trading. If so, a signal is being sent to the broker’s server. Even if the server is laggy, few minutes are more than enough for the order to be accepted. Usually, the movement is strong withing 30 minutes and the spread does not matter very much, BUT, there is always good to choose a broker which provides a lower spread.

As you can see from backtests, the drawdown is pretty low and it reasonably increases once you increase the risk or the spread.

Also, Forex Cleaner is NFA friendly because it opens one trade at a time. Stop loss and Take profit levels are driven by market volatility.

Stop Loss triggers somewhere between 10 and 135 pips, but no more than 135 pips!
Take Profit triggers between 5 and 250 pips.

Forex Cleaner works in any market conditions because of it’s ability to adapt. In a ranging market, stops and profits are tight, between 20-60 pips while in a trending market the profit can reach even 250 pips per trade. As you can see from backtests, overall Risk:Reward ratio is excellent.
