The dogs and I have been having a lazy Saturday morning. I know it’s beautiful outside but we just really love the comfy bed right now.

Spring time is here so that means blue skies and lots of green foliage! Some days I’ll just bring my camera with me to take pictures while driving and those photos seem to be some of my favorites. But, before I go on and show you a whole bunch of outdoor photos I feel the need to describe my day so far.
Today I woke up at 7 am to bake a seed cake for later (recipe to come) and I was rockin’ and rollin’. I had so much energy I washed all the dishes and cleaned the kitchen while this cake was baking. After I even went outside and pulled the weeds out of our garden. Now, let me tell you that was one heck of a job. It seems as if every time it rains the weeds pop up over night. It’s a constant battle with those things. So my hands hurt and I’ve got two bags full of weeds and I just decide to put the rest on hold until I get back from my run. I drive to one park and there’s a wedding going on so they ended up taking all the spots and using a lot of the park. I was a little upset because this always seems to happen whenever I want to run during the daytime. I was seriously thinking about taking my camera back up there and pretending to be the photographer. Or maybe I could have at least photobombed some of their pictures. Well, the next two parks I tried were either full because of a soccer tournament or there was some type of confrontation going on in the parking lot. I didn’t have time for that. I headed back home and decided to edit some photos that have been sitting on my memory card for quite some time.
Here I am now trying to get a tiny blog post out. I do have other posts coming up so stay tuned!

Now he was a quick one. I barely got him!

Thoughts for West, Texas and Boston

We normally try to keep those heartbreaking current events from making it to our blog, but this time it just hit a little to close to home. This won’t be an entire post about what happened and how you can help. You know how you can help. If you really wanted to you would find a way. We just wanted to say that our thoughts and prayers go out to the families affected by these two devastating events. Regardless of how others may view these events, we are human by nature. Just remember we are animals programmed to show and feel compassion and mercy for others whether we wish to or not.

Stalking Howard

On St. Patrick’s Day Howard and I decided to hit up Fish City Grill for some lunch. Afterward we walked along the bridge and I snapped a quick shot of Howard watching the birds. Shortly after I discovered spiders resting on the pillar I used a support and I made sure we were on our way in a second. It may not be the best photo I’ve taken, but I love how he looks in this shot.
