I might stop posting on this blog. Well, I kinda have already, haven't I?

Well, that's one of my reasons, but there are others too.

First, I'm at a good stopping point (I like logical breaks...I hardly ever stop watching a show in the middle and mostly start new projects on hours and half hours). I figure having the first two years of Ariel's life chronicled pretty well on here is a good thing, but it doesn't have to be done at this level forever, right? The jury is still out on that one (cause really I kinda think it wouldn't hurt).

Second, I'm reconsidering my blogging style. As noted above, I'm not really posting anymore, so why not start new? Also, the things that fill my mind, my day, and my life are in transition, so I could totally start new with a new concept. As I've learned more in the blogging world, I think I'd do a few things differently and with a new blog I could do that as well... For instance, in the future I think I'll challenge myself to post in 300 words or less (really who wants to read much more than that anyhow?). Quite a challenge for the likes of me, but a worthy challenge all the same. I could also be more thematic or more self-reflective or more focused or more personal or make several blogs about different topics instead of one big disorganized mishmash.

Third, safety. I read this blog and was convicted. I have always been pretty revealing on here and always questioned it in the back of my mind (cause part of me knows better, right?). Starting new would be a great way to blog a little safer, I think.

So there - now you know what I'm thinking about. I'll probably let you know when I start making changes...

Yeah. She's "petting" her cousin's head.
Mommy cringe. Maybe we spend too much time with our pets.

She tried to share them with our dog, Truck. Truck didn't care for them.

Yes, we are still here. I've just learned to prioritize and the blog...well, its not on top. I'll be back when I can.

Anyhow, on to our girl in June...

She climbed on top of her sandbox all by herself. She was pretty proud.

We still like flowers.

She was sick.
I was astonished that she just laid on the couch when I made her special bed.

Lots of pool time this summer.

Even some, still dressed swimming was done. Fun times.

Day 186: thank you, God, for milk. It's healthy, filling, liquid, and often convenient. It helped control my heartburn during pregnancy, too. Great stuff.

Day one hundred eighty five: At the risk of sounding repetitive, Jason will be home tomorrow...to stay. We survived three weeks of camp. Yay!!!

Thank you, God, that Jason will be home tomorrow. Thank you for the three weeks I got to spend with Ariel, just us. We weren't always alone, but I was the only parent. It's different. We enjoyed this time together, but we missed her daddy.

Day One hundred eighty four: Honestly, today was a long day. It was uneventful. It wasn't particularly interesting. I didn't make tons of effort. Things went smoothly. It's time for bed now. I'm glad every day isn't like this, but one here and there isn't so bad.

I'm ready for camp time to be over. Not that camp is bad. It is very good. I'm just ready for our family to be all together again. I'm tired of the routine we've gotten into that doesn't require all of us to be together. We've adapted, we are happy. It's only three weeks (and it was broken up by three day in the middle).

But I don't like that there have been changes. Learning new words, creating new habits, trying new things. Firsts. We haven't been together for them. Its only been three weeks, but it seems when you've only been around for 20 months...three weeks is a pretty big deal. I guess that makes sense, too. I guess I'm saying today was a long day and I'm ready for Saturday.

Thank you, God, that this time is almost over. Thank you for using Jason where he is (and was). Thank you for the way these weeks didn't drag slowly. Thank you for all the fun I've had with our lady. Thank you for my family letting us hang out with them A LOT over the last few weeks (and feeding us A LOT, too). Please forgive me if for when I've wasted this time and not recognized opportunities to serve You.

I've never entered an i heart faces challenge before, but this week the theme is pets.

I have cute pets. So I thought, "why not?" I'm no photographer, but I take photos.

Here's my adorable dog. Her name is Truck.

I thought it was cute when she was laying on it, so I put it on her.

Day one hundred seventy two: One of my friends posted on facebook that she deleted her tumblr and twitter accounts today. She realized she was spending more time reading blogs and such than her Bible. She's going cold turkey.

Something to think about for me. I could definitely say the same thing. That upsets me. I've thought before about doing a technology fast of some sort. I think I am inspired to move from thinking to action. I'll let you know what direction I take this (at least I think I will).
