After all of our research on babywearing, we ended up buying a Kozy Carrier mei tai in brown with a "Waverly"-patterned pocket on the front (thanks, MetroMinis!). There are a bunch of reasons we went with this one over the variety of other possibilities, but that's not the point of this post.

I was smart for once and rather than trying to dive right into the (somewhat large) project without first doing a swatch, I grabbed some random yarn and decided to make a practice square first. It's a good thing I did, too, because I had to frog it at least 6 times in the process. But I think I've got it now!

I actually hesitate to publicly post that I love vegan cupcakes, if only because it has the potential to ruin some future "aha!" moments.

What are "aha!" moments?

It's when you feed a die-hard omnivore something, wait for them to say, "Omg, this is amazing!" and then you spring on them, "Aha! It's veg*an!"

And to my surprise, my name was pulled and I was offered a ticket! But, yes, I was offered one ticket, not two. So, feeling sad, I called T at work to tell him the mixed good/bad news and he replied, "What? Great! You should definitely go. I'd go without yo… I mean, um…"

So, knowing he'd ditch me without a  second though, I decided to ditch him :)

So far, I've had one great one and one rather lousy one. I started to read Salt recently, but got bored 15 pages in so I've put it officially "on hold." I see that my "on hold" list is getting rather long and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing - are the books not that captivating or do I just have no attention span?

Meh. I'll get back to them eventually. Often, I just have to be in the right mood for a book to...&lt;br/&gt;
