Witney Fire Brigade Heritage Trust has been formed to acquire, restore and preserve historic artefacts with a specific link to Witney Fire. Their initial aim is to rebuild a 1936 Leyland Cub fire appliance which was stationed at Witney until 1967.

St John's School in Carterton have written and recorded their own School song with the help of a Witney Recording Studio.

The whole process started before easter with the structure of the song being decided by a group of school staff who also went on to record the backing tracks for the album. Children from the school contributed to writing the words for each verse and then each year group in turn recorded their own verse for the song and an independent song for inclusion on a school album.

GreenRoomStudios converted the school hall in to a recording studio to record a school album including this specially written school song performed by the children and staff.

The album is available directly from St John's School.

Witney Music Festival 2015 Official Video - Filmed on Saturday 30th May at the Witney Music Festival, The Leys Recreation Ground.

Thames Valley Police has today (2/6) carried out a series of warrants in Oxford in relation to child sexual exploitation.

More than 100 officers executed warrants at eight properties across Oxford at 6am.

A number of men from Oxford have been arrested in connection with child sexual exploitation, they are: two 36-year-olds, a 29-year-old, a 31-year-old, a 44-year-old, a 45-year-old, a 33-year-old (who will be 34 tomorrow), and a 37-year-old.

The Force was called to an address in Vicarage Road by a member of the public at 8.23pm yesterday .

Police officers attended the scene and three bodies were found inside the property.

A 44-year-old man, a 48-year-old woman and a six-year-old girl were pronounced dead by ambulance staff at the scene.

The deceased are yet to be identified at this time.

Further, cause of deaths will not be established until post mortems have taken place. The post mortems are likely to take place today (24/5).

At this time no arrests have been made.
