			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Greetings from Stuttgart.Bogdan and me arrived two days ago and we are easily preparing for todays show. We saw some really interesting presentations yesterday though some speakers were not well prepared. </p>
<p>First thing I attended was the <a href="http://www.studioaka.co.uk/">Studio AKA</a>&#8217;s presentation of &#8220;Varmints&#8221;. It was the best animation I&#8217;ve seen since Wall-E. It was really silent animation with great concept design and character animation. What I didn&#8217;t expect from such a serious studio is that they planed 10 minutes long animation but later in the proces changed their minds and created 24&#8242; animation. But I guess that working on a comercials for Guinness and BMW created some impressive budget. </p>
<p>Predominantly dark atmosphere created some shocking and sad scenes that can bring tears to your eyes, but they had interesting approach: &#8220;&#8221;You can never have too scaring for kids&#8221;. </p>
<p>Next was production design for Watchmen which was held by <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0568273/">Alex McDowell</a>. Even though he has impressive portfolio, the presentation was not prepared and he showed us some photos of shooting locations, some green screens and few shots from the movie with explanations like &#8220;we did blue screen there&#8221;. Uninformative and boring.</p>
<p>Next was a presentation by <a href="http://www.craftanimations.com/">Craft Animations and Entertainment</a>&#8217;s Luigi Tramontana who showed us some really good plug-ins for maya/3ds max  that let you animate vehicles with imput device like jostick and joypads. Although this was fun to watch the real deal were the <a href="http://www.craftanimations.com/index.cfm?objectid=8ADFCF1E-0D52-51D5-19158F64349A1900&#038;cat=AA1E5A0D-DC58-88BF-CBFE925D9E5E0578&#038;img=cameratools#products">camera setup plugins</a>. Luigi had a system crash a day before so he was slightly unprepared for the presentation (he was downloading some promo material while presenting:) but the presentation very informative and funny. You can see some of their promo on their site. I recommend <a href="http://www.craftanimations.com/files/flash/AbramsInDesert/AbramsInDesert.swf">2 Abrams Tanks in the desert</a> that he described as &#8220;this is simulation porno&#8221;.</p>
<p>Another tech talk was held by the <a href="http://www.sidefx.com/">Side Effects Software</a> about their Houdini. They invited two production studios to describe their experiences with Houdini on their recent works. <a href="http://www.axisanimation.com/">Axis Animation</a> held some serious mumbo jumbo i couldn&#8217;t fully understand so i&#8217;ll skip it. Guys from <a href="http://www.blackmountain.de/">BlackMountain</a> explained their workflow on the Mattoni comercial that you can see on their site. They did go into details but were fresh and informative. Check out their other work on their site.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Evo dobrog primera kako smo uklapali model tenka u priču. Inače model je urađen dosta brzo. Tijana je bila zadužena da napravi tenk koji će stojati kao deo ambijenta. Tenk će stojati u ruševinama . Izgoreo je iznutra od granate ili molotova, tako da je napolju netaknut. Kako je radnja smeštena u budućnost hteli smo da izgleda futuristički ali da ne menjamo previše dizajn koji bi od oružija napravio nešto lepo ili intrigantno. Hteli smo da zadržimo osnovnu sirovost i oštrinu koja se krije u ivicama oružija.</p>
<p>Prva verzija koju je Tijana uradila prvog dana:</p>

<p>Malo nas je previše podsećao na one uprošćene modele iz Red Alerta tako je trebalo napraviti brutalniju verziju.</p>

<p>Hteli smo da prikažemo kako je to tenk koji ima dovoljnu težinu i snagu da ruši sve pred sobom i koji bi lako prošao kroz ruševine koje ostanu posle bombardovanja tako da je sledeći potez bio napraviti veće gusenice.</p>

Onda dolazi animacija likova koja je najveći izazov jer niko od nas se ne snalazi baš</p>
<p>savršeno u tom polju. Na kraju nastupa render i tu staje produkcija. Onda se prelazi na postprodukciju i to Kompoziting i montažu. O tom po tom :)</p>
<p>U sledećem postu neki delovi ambienta u kome se odvija animacija.</p>
