Somehow it gets overlooked by virtually everyone, which made us think about how often do people remember to clean the windows in their home. We recently featured a poll that asked, “When was the last time you washed your windows?” and the results are in. Although pushed to the back of most people’s minds, 67 percent of our readers said the last time they washed their windows was only a month ago. And only 33 percent said they didn’t know they should even be cleaning them. We would like to thank you for taking the time to vote and remind you to keep your eyes open for our next poll!

The National Association of Home Builders has extended the deadline to enter the Best in American Living Awards. You now have about 3 weeks until September 13th to enter your most innovative residential design. The awards are open to builders, interior designers, developers, architects, and land planners throughout the U.S. Winners from the various categories will be announced at the NAHB International Builders Show on January 12th. Their name and design will also be featured on the NAHB site for up to one year. Visit the NAHB site for information on registration and entrance requirements.
