2012 Resolutions

Normally I do not make New Years resolutions because they are rarely kept. However, I am committed to keeping the content fresh this year. Many of you who follow PacketWars know that we do not use the website enough to communicate and promote the sport. This is not because there isn’t activity. I’m just a lazy hacker.

Some Highlights:

1. Day-Con V came and went. With the ERNW All Stars winning the coveted winners cup the second year in a row.

2. Collegiate games at Dartmouth

3. PacketWars Proshop move

4. Sanctioning and Franchise Activity

5. Platform enhancements

So I promise to try to be more diligent and leverage the site to better communicate, educate and entertain.

PacketWars Confirmed At Troopers11

As the 2011 season is gearing up, we are busy confirming upcoming battles. It gives me great pleasure to confirm we will be in Heidelberg, Germany for Troopers 11. The current PacketWars HSK Invitational champs will be hosting us again this year. We encourage everyone to make the trip and see what all the buzz is about.

It was a tough fought battle but in the end the newly named TROOPERS team of ERNW were victorious. The CodeBlue team gave them a run for their money with team captain XS’s innovative use of a printer. Team BT and the pick up team (TANTD- These Are Not The Druids) made a good showing this year but couldn’t manage to crack the code in time. This was the final game of the 2010 season. Look for our opening salvo to begin at Troopers2011 in Germany were ERNW will defend their title.

Tornado Warning: Cyber Storm III

DHS is conducting its third public Cyber Attack Simulation – Cyber Storm III. This time around they are keeping a lower profile (less press – They don’t need the money) in order to provide a more realistic simulation and learning experience.

Maybe next year they will recruit some of our cyber warriors. I’m very confident we could architect and execute a successful campaign using fewer resources, innovative attack vectors and effective tactics. Everyone knows PacketWars is serious phun!
