Calgary, AB – (June 25, 2013) Pandell showcased the recent release of its land management software, GeoNexus Version 4.0, in front of a full house of their clients at the company’s Downtown Training Center. GeoNexus users were thrilled to get an up close look at the new look and features in the new version.

Included in the new GeoNexus version 4 release is an all new interface, integrated split screen, a new copy & link feature, improved short-cut keys, increased validation error correction, and enhanced cross-browser functionality. “Not only in the new version is the system faster, but with the improved layout, users will have a much better experience,” says Terry Wray, GeoNexus Product Manager. “One of the big changes we made was integrating the Split screen into the main screen, now everything loads at once and users can really move through the system and not have to wait for a new screen to pop up.”

Behind this major version release is Pandell’s all new Lithium 4 technology platform which enables mobile device access and new browser options (i.e. Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Chrome). Version 4 also paves the way for a host of new functional enhancements that will be rolling out over the coming year, including tighter integration with JVNexus and expanded data storage fields.

"This is a major milestone for GeoNexus, our development team has put in a tremendous amount of work over the past year” says Greg Chudiak, Pandell’s President & CEO. “With our new Lithium platform, we can now expect new features to be added quicker and new versions to be released sooner."

GeoNexus has been providing land management excellence to the energy industry for over ten years and today it is the leading web-based land management solution. Over 100 companies in Western Canada are using it to manage their land information. The Top 250 ICT Companies list consists of leading players from each of the industry’s four major sectors: Software, ICT Professional Services, ICT Hardware and Infrastructure, and xService Providers.
Calgary, AB – (Jan 15, 2013) With the relocation of its head office to a bright new building, and the successful launch of two innovative new software products to the energy industry, Pandell Technology Corporation is proving why it’s been named one of Alberta’s fastest growing companies of 2013.

Alberta Venture’s Fast Growth 50 list showcases Alberta-based businesses that have demonstrated significant growth in revenue, assets, net earnings and employees over a three-year period. Pandell is one of five companies representing Alberta’s high-tech sector in this year’s roundup of movers and shakers.

“In addition to increasing our oil and gas client base this year, a lot of our growth comes from expanding our O&G solutions offerings,” says Greg Chudiak, Pandell’s President and CEO. “We’ve achieved successful outcomes because we’re continuously re-investing revenues back into our products, technology, and people; and that enables us to deliver ongoing value-add to the industry.”

Pandell’s inclusion in this year’s list is an indication of the company’s ability to ride out the fluctuations in the economy and maintain its long-term vision of growth. “Our software-as-a-service business model provides a stable, low fee-structure for our customers, while providing the necessary revenue stream for us to continually enhance our products and services,” says Chudiak. “It’s a win-win partnership with our clients, and it will only get better as we continue to grow.”

Pandell is profiled in the January issue of Alberta Venture magazine and will be formally recognized during a reception on February 12th at the Telus Convention Centre in Calgary.

Pandell's VP Gets Shaved, Sculpted & Pierced for Troubled Teens in Calgary

Inspired Pandell Employees Provide $6000 in Gifts to Kids in Aspen Community Group Homes

Calgary, AB – (Jan 4, 2013) Sure, a lot of bosses get behind their corporate charity fundraising, but David Beresford, Vice President at Pandell, did a lot more than just reach for his wallet. To give his staff extra incentive to meet lofty fundraising goals, David offered up his average-soccer-dad head for a rather unusual makeover.

Sadly, there are many troubled teens in our city suffering abuse and neglect at home. Aspen is a charitable organization that provides shelter to abused teens through three local group homes. Pandell staff reached out to Aspen to see how they could deliver some much needed holiday cheer to these unfortunate kids. It was suggested that Christmas gifts would be just the thing to do that.

Pandell executives then challenged the staff to meet 3 fundraising milestones and pledged to match all funds raised. David went one step further and pledged to personally endure a creative aesthetic treatment as each milestone was met: a mohawk, sculpted eyebrows, and piercings that chain-linked his ear to his nose.

Fundraising Targets Smashed!

Not only did the top fundraising goal get met: it was nearly doubled! Armed with over $6000 in donations, Pandell staff went shopping and returned with a busload of gifts to present to Aspen representatives. Included were big-screen TVs, Xbox game sets, Kobo readers, digital cameras, bedding sets, popcorn machines, sports equipment, brand name clothes, movie passes, and much more.

While David’s strategy may seem outrageous to some, it is a reflection of the corporate culture Pandell management strives to create. “We are serious about our company’s success, but for us, success includes having fun and giving back to the community,” says David. “Listening to stories from Aspen’s representatives really breaks your heart. The service they provide to these teens is invaluable and it makes me very proud to see our staff get behind them. If what I’ve done played a part in helping, then it was so worth it!”

Nancy Bilodeau-Cogger, Manager of Group Care at Aspen, shared with Pandell how some of the teens responded to receiving gifts.

“It is very difficult to explain the impact all of you had on these kids – it was amazing; particularly for some of them who experienced their first Christmas ‘in care’.”

“One of our kids was having a particularly difficult Christmas. He was very touched that people he didn’t even know made an effort to give him gifts. He didn’t receive gifts from anyone in his family this year.”

“The Xbox and flat screen TV were a huge hit and really brightened up those who were unable to be with family. The boys were counting down the minutes until we could set it all up.”

“One girl was thrilled that her gifts included bedding. She’s kept her room in impeccable shape and makes her bed daily since receiving it!”

Conference attendees responded eagerly to the modern and functional new application design, streamlined workflow, and Pandell’s commitment to faster-than-ever phone and online PA support services.

“PANexus version 4.0 sparks such intuitive and streamlined workflow, new users will be able to have it installed and be up and running in a single afternoon, even if they’ve never laid eyes on it before,” says Victoria Young, PANexus Product Manager. “With direct upload capability to the Petrinex Network, PANexus is the ideal solution for start-ups looking for the fastest and most economical way to report production volume. Intermediate companies will also want to take a closer look at it as a way to reduce their consulting and support costs.”

The new PANexus will continue to offer unique value to energy companies by providing the highest level of data integration with JVNexus financial accounting software in the industry.

To learn more about PANexus, visit www.pandell.com or contact Pandell at 403.271.0701.

Pandell Launches Landscape Surface Land Control Software at the 2012 Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen Conference

Land Experts Applaud Pandell's iPad-friendly Landscape Software for its Fast, Accurate, and Detailed Control of Stakeholder Negotiations, Roads, Crossings, and Projects

Calgary, AB – (Oct 1, 2012) During the 34th Annual CAPL Conference held in Vancouver September 23rd to 26th, Pandell introduced its new Landscape™ software to over 500 petroleum land professionals. Landscape is a suite of surface land applications that deliver automated workflow and detailed information management of stakeholders, roads, crossings and project files. The new software set received a welcoming and positive response from the land expert audience, including the following:

“I just saw Landscape Stakeholders on the iPad for the first time and I like the clear and simple design of the application. I’m also impressed by the amount of detailed information you can capture from the field. It’s great to see a modern, hi-tech solution offered to clean up the often painful, manual processes of stakeholder negotiations.” — Dean Ruston, Manager of Land Systems, Harvest Operations Corp.

“I haven’t seen or heard of anything like this. Conference attendees responded favorably to the modern and functional new application design, streamlined data entry, and the opportunity to analyze their project work faster than ever before.

EANexus 3.0 includes a modernized user interface, a redesigned calculation engine that runs economics on a monthly basis, and improved workflows within the economic module. Two key improvements include the ability to launch both monthly and annual reports from within an economic entity or consolidation, and the handling of multiple decline segments in the same evaluation year of an economic case. Many enhancements were also incorporated to improve the user experience.

“One of the release objectives of version 3.0 was to make it so straightforward, users can have EANexus installed and be running their project economics in as little as 10 minutes, even if they’ve never laid eyes on it before,” says John Pongo, EANexus Product Manager. “The system’s project focus makes it ideally suited to startup companies looking for single well economics, or larger companies doing field development or acquiring properties.”

Petrox Resources Corporation is one of the first companies to install EANexus version 3.0 in its organization. Glenn Cartier, President and CEO of Petrox says, “As a startup company, one of our main objectives is to access funds to support our capital program. EANexus 3.0 bridges the gap between our technical analysis and what our potential investors need to make a decision. We chose EANexus over other products because it’s affordable and it has just the right amount of functionality to meet our needs now, as well as to scale with us as our company grows.”

To learn more about EANexus, visit www.eanexus.com or contact Pandell at 403.271.0701.

Pandell Receives a 2012 TechRev Innovator Award

Innovate Calgary Names Pandell One of Calgary's Top Technology Innovators

Pandell President & CEO, Greg Chudiak (second from left), accepted the award Tuesday evening at a reception held at Mount Royal University.
Calgary, AB – (Sep 19, 2012)
During a reception held at Mount Royal University on September 18th, Pandell was named a 2012 TechRev Innovator by Innovate Calgary. The surprise announcement was made among 300 of Alberta’s technology leaders and civic representatives.

Pandell was one of eleven companies recognized as a TechRev Innovator this year. Over 400 nominations were received within the broad spectrum of advanced technology in Calgary. Nominated companies were evaluated on a range of elements including those relating to financial performance, operational growth and market viability.

One of the key factors in Pandell being selected for the award is the company’s advanced Lithium™ technology: a web application toolset built on Microsoft’s latest .NET technology. Lithium’s 3-layer architecture is the backbone to dozens of enterprise software applications that Pandell has successfully developed, delivered, and continues to support.

“We are honored to be recognized for the impact our technology research and development has had in the Calgary business community,” says Greg Chudiak, Pandell’s President and CEO. “Our Lithium based enterprise applications are more scalable and secure than competitive solutions, they perform better across the web, and they readily integrate with other systems. These are the pivoting factors that have propelled us ahead in the industry and keep enterprise clients coming through our door.”

As a selected 2012 TechRev Innovator, Pandell is a featured success story on Innovate Calgary’s website.
