Next week is going to be the first page of Volume 2!

As for the current fate of Eight Herbs Mountain, it will mostly be a do-it-when-I-can situation. I have every intention of finishing this arc, but it's sort of become something more time-consuming than I wanted it to be. And honestly, I have no idea where it's going. I wish I could just dash off a stand-alone strip on a piece of sketch paper each week, but I guess my tendency is to try to make a story out of something. So, at best you'll get EHM in addition to Volume 2 each week. At worst...I have no idea. But I appreciate the positive response during this extended break!

A few things worthy of note. I'll be exhibiting this upcoming weekend, September 4th and 5th, at SF Zine Fest. If you're in the bay area, come on by! And I'll also be at SPX the following week in Bethesda, Maryland, which should be a good time.

Monday the 30th is the last day you can ask your comic shop retailer to order the book for their store! So please spread the love! The code is AUG101056

Horse Stance

The books have finally arrived (!), and there are so, so many. I had to throw away quite a few relics of my childhood just to fit half the boxes in my old room... Farewell, Cobra airplane.

I'm in the process of shipping out the first batch of books. It's kinda nerve-wracking drawing inside of them! I don't want to mess up! I think I've mentioned this before, but I've become so reliant on the Undo command.

The Foot That Kicks It

So the full shipment of books is arriving next week. Which means a couple things. One, I have to clean out my dad's garage and my old room so I can store books in there (ugh). And two, I'll be embarking on the process of drawing in everyone's books and then sending them out!

Speaking of which, the date of August 16th is fast approaching. This is the date that I said the preorder would end! BUT! For all you stragglers out there, I've decided to extend the preorder deal until September 3rd. So you can order a book with a free sketch inside until then. Why September 3rd, you ask?

That's the day Volume 2 will begin running on the site!

Miao Miao

Speechless. That's a Sichuanese Mountain Cat. A while back I was thinking it would fun to make Pang have an animal friend. I'm not a cat person at all, and at one point I was leaning towards some kind of monkey, but the big, fluffy, raccoon-like tail on these guys swayed me.

I never linked my recap of Comic-Con, so here it is. This is also my new blog that I might use from time to time, so follow it if you fancy.

Oh, you know that kind of day. When you just don't care enough to react. All that's left to say is GuHhhHh.

HEY! Thank you to all those who've ordered the book so far! I know some of you are waiting until you get monies, etc. And I know some of you are just not going to buy it and that's okay. But HEY, maybe you want to support the comic in another way.

Volume 1 Preorder!

The initial shipment of the book has arrived and it looks INCREDIBLE! I couldn�t be happier with how it turned out.

This is a full color, hardcover book, 192 pages (with an additional page of the story that won't ever go online). All for $20 plus shipping!

And from now until August 16th you can get the book with a custom sketch inside on the title page for FREE. Just let me know what you want drawn in the order notes. This sort of thing will cost another $5 later on, so take advantage! (The reason this is a preorder is because I won�t get all the books until mid August; I have a small amount to debut at San Diego Comic-Con. But if I have leftovers I�ll be sure to ship them out earlier.)
