Stomil Factory from Grudziądz was established in 1923 as “PPG” - Polish Rubber Factory. Two types of sneakers were produced there: ankle sneakers made of canvas and “full sneakers” covering the ankle. They were available in three colours: black navy blue and white. The last ones were extremely hard to get.
Four pairs of Stomil sneakers are available in our web shop (41 size)

Relaksy were winter “apres ski”shoes made by Modern Leather Industries Podhale. Modern design and a bit cosmic colours: silver and gold unfortunately didn’t match the brown plastic soles. “Currently the assembly produces soles in brown colour only and there is no possibility to switch it to another colour” claimed the producer. Relaksy looked like being inflated and soles used to crack when the temperature dropped below zero.

Sofiksy were very popular gym shoes. The first Polish sneakers with Velcro produced by a company from Radom since 1983. They look similar to Nike, don’t they?

Czeszki (jarmilki) are fabulous canvas shoes for girls still produced for almost 40 years now. Together with Lentilki it was the most recognizable product of Czechoslovakia- our southern neighbour. White ones used to be cleaned with toothpaste.
