As our listeners are aware, DHP’s return to the air has a few strings attached, and one of those strings is the condition that Big Bro gets a pass at censoring each episode before it is released.

Well, this week’s program was returned to us completely garbled by those that review it ahead of time.

We have reached out to the Alphabet-Soup that is responsible, and are awaiting a response… in the meantime, it’s a waiting game. Personally, I have the feeling that they are taking objection to the way we are presenting the government-mandated message at the top of the program and are being punitive (and more than a bit childish) about it.

Currently, we are planning to proceed with next week’s program on-schedule, and once the issue with this week’s has been resolved we will be posting it. It is entirely possible we can have it up later this afternoon… but I’m not holding my breath.

As some of you have no doubt noticed, the DHP episode for Friday May 29 was taken down very shortly after being put up.  The reasons for this are complex, but the end result is that DHP is being shut down for a (hopefully brief) period while agents from a certain alphabet-soup (if you know who I mean) comb through our audio archives for references to certain topics which I have been advised not to mention here.

Some of you may smell a government conspiracy here.  I could try to dissuade you from thinking in that direction.

Once we have the all clear from the boys and girls standing behind me while I type this, Darkhallow Paranatural will return.  They assure me that this is all just a formality and that things will be back to normal in no time.  I, for one, am not holding my breath.

Here's hoping this hiatus will last a couple of weeks and we'll be back on the air with you.

Newer listeners to Darkhallow Paranatural on the web may not realize that we have been doing this since 2010! (No, really!)

We are celebrating our 5 year online anniversary by digging up the old Darkhallow Daily and Darkhallow Weekly programs that were published early on after our transition from small town radio to podcast format.  

As, due to health issues, we have no *new* DHP to publish this week (sorry folks!), we are kicking things off with one of our early Weekly programs from April 15 2011.  Note the change in format! We've come a long way!

Also, speaking of health - some may not be aware that Michael had undergone serious throat surgery in 2010 (his required hiatus from the program being one of the reasons we left radio).  He was still recovering during the early days of DHP online and so his voice (which is still not 100% back to its original tone today) may sound strained at times.  It is not a cold or allergies; it is simply healing in progress.
