Since you are here searching for useragent (UA) strings, I take the privilege to consider that you already know about user agents, what they do and how to change them. For those who don't, I would like to give a very short layman definition for same. Useragent is nothing but a string in your browser containing details about your operating system, browser type and browser version.

Eg of a user agent string:
Windows-RSS-Platform/2.0 (MSIE 9.0; Windows NT 6.1)
Here MSIE suggests the Browser, 9.0 is the browser version and Windows NT 6.1 is the Operating system

There may be other details to it but I'm sure you would not need those unless you are a very advanced user.

Coming back to useragent strings. Here are some few examples why you would want to access useragents and change them.

Lets say you come across any of the following situations:

1) You are a Mac user, but wish to visit a website which looks good on a windows operating system (OS).
2) You wish to check a mobile website or download a mobile content on your PC
3) You are a webmaster/developer and wish to test your web content on multiple browsers and OS.
4) You wish to view some webcontent which is not targeted to your OS

This list can go on and may vary from beginer to advanced users.

As a layman if you are faced with any of these situations your first mode of action would be to look for a different system that can solve your problem, but if you are aware of user agents, you'd probably want to spoof your web browser to behave as you want it to be.

Just add the UA string to your browser and you are ready to go.

Convert handwriting to fonts in a user friendly manner. Just write alphabets in your own handwriting and then use the same as a font and save it for all you personally typed handwritten letters.

I would like to share some quick tips to earn with AdSense. These tips are especially for beginners to start with. If you are an advanced user, you may get some random ideas to enhance your experience with Adsense.

What is important with adsense:

- Traffic (from search engines, ie Google.)
- Good positioning of ads (to get the
best rate of clicks you can)
- Target non-technical people (because they are more likely to click on ads)
- Objective related content over time.

How:

- For high traffic you need to produce content for the masses, ie children, women, the elderly, all non technical people, male, female etc. who access Internet.
- For the placement of ads you need to put them in location where you want to find them if they were yours, and the site belonged to someone else. Read the line again.
- If you want to reach non-technical audience, stop talking about computers or internet; flash games, desktop screensavers and wallpapers, useless money making sites, etc.
- Use Non-time related content, which is required throughout the year.

Example of content for the masses:

Recently there was this hype about Facebook giving out personalized @facebook.com email ids. Now you can actually create one for yourself;...something like xyz@facebook.com. The invitations are limited at the moment and you could be one of the lucky few to get your ID in the initial lot.

This ID will be your social network Inbox where the main focus will be on Sender and the Message. You will not find usual email components like Subject line, Cc and Bcc as you generally do in most popular email services like Gmail, Rediffmail, Yahoo Mail or Hotmail. Once you have an approved email ID, you can strictly control who can send you messages at your unique facebook.com ID.

Setting up your @facebook.com email ID.

1. This feature is newly introduced in Facebook; hence its limited to a small number of users. To get an early access you will need to request an invite for email messages for your facebook account. Login to your Facebook account and click here to open the request webpage. Click the invite button located at the bottom right.

2. Your invitation needs to be reviewed and approved by FB team for you to enable this feature. Once it's approved goto messages in your Facebook account to activate your facebook email feature.

3. Select a unique username for your Facebook email. Incase you have already set up a user name for your facebook profile, you can use the same here. It will look something like facebook.com/username. Your new facebook email ID will be username@facebook.com. If you have not created your username for Facebook, you can create it first and then select the username for your new email.

Points that you need to remember:

1. Facebook email messages are not what you see in your traditional email system. It does not contain a Title or a Subject line. Just a quick message to any friend.

2. Messages are not categorized according to Subject line (rather there are no subject lines). All messages are classified according to Sender’s name.

3. Facebook email ID enables a superior privacy policy on who can send you a message at your Facebook email ID. Messages that you receive from blocked users will automatically land in your spam folder. You can retain the messages from spam folder to your priority inbox in case it's accidentally sent to spam folder.

4. Its a mode of simple text communication, so don't expect jazzy content you generally exchange in other email clients.

Hiding your HDD (hard drives) in Windows Explorer is a simple trick just for fun and for your knowledge. You can even use it to play a harmless trick on your friends. It's fun to show-off a bit :)

To disable the display of all your local or networked drives from My Computer or Windows Explorer, just follow these simple steps

1) Go to Start > Run. Type regedit. and
hit Enter. Now go to or find the key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
(Here I'm already assuming that you are quite familiar with your windows registry. If you are totally new to computers, pls do not proceed :)

2) Once you have reached the desired key. Right-click on the Right side pane.

3) Click on "New > DWORD value"

4) Rename it to "NoDrives" (Note: It's case sensitive).

5) Now modify it's value and set it to 3FFFFFF (Hexadecimal).

6) Restart your computer. Now when you click on My Computer, you will not see any Drives there....(all gone :)

7) To enable the display of drives in My Computer, simply delete this DWORD value that you've created. Restart your computer and there you go. Your drives are back again.

> Remove Delete Confirmation in Windows

Although this may strictly not be a performance related tweak you would like this fix as it saves u some of your precious clicks :)

As you know; while deleting a file from your PC, you get an alert message to confirm your action. Many would agree that this message is very annoying while deleting lot many files from different locations.

In case you are using a touch screen laptop, you would simply love this small system alteration which will remove this alert message.

Many users, although being well familiar with computers still don't know that removing alert option is available and it is really easy to perform.

Procedure:

1. Right click the "Recycle Bin" icon on your desktop and then click on "Properties"

2. You will notice an enabled check box on "Display Delete Confirmation Dialog" box. It's a default system feature.

3. Remove the check mark and click "OK"

Now when you delete any file, it will be removed from your system without an alert.

Note:

1 The above method is safe to perform as it does not delete your file permanently. Your file will be placed in the Recycle Bin and you can restore it in case required.

2 If you wish to permanently delete a file you will still continue to receive a system alert to confirm your action, Safe isn't it?
