This summer of 2026, a version of the bob haircut is the talk of the town. Simple, modern and surprisingly easy to style, it’s already attracting thousands of searches on Google and Pinterest. The question is, what makes it so different from the classic bob we’ve known for years?

The butterfly bob: the square that changes everything

The butterfly bob is inspired by the butterfly cut, a cut known for its layered gradations. These layers add volume on top while maintaining fluidity on the lengths. Here, however, the version is shorter and more accessible.

The first strands frame the face at cheekbone or eye level. The overall length is between the jawline and the shoulders. The result is similar to a square, but with much less rigidity.

What really changes everything is the layering. Instead of a clean, straight bob, we get loose, airy strands. Everything is designed to create relief without weighing hair down.

“It’s the square, but in a livelier and much less fixed version.”

Why research explodes in 2026

According to Glamour UK, interest in this cut is exploding on Google and Pinterest with the arrival of fine weather in 2026. What’s more, seasonal desires clearly play in its favor. In summer, we’re looking for easy-going hairstyles that retain volume without requiring hours of styling.

The butterfly bob strikes just that balance. Its gradations give structure to the hair, while retaining a real sense of lightness. As a result, it’s a natural companion to waves, blow-drying and the natural textures we often adopt on vacation.

What this cut does for your daily life

The butterfly bob bob offers a visible advantage at first glance. The shorter strands create relief and give the impression of denser hair, without stiffness. So even fine hair gains in presence.

What’s more, this cut adapts easily to natural textures. It doesn’t require strict shaping to stay pretty. It can be worn smooth or slightly wavy.

Layered gradients add volume on top

Cheekbone or eye highlights framing the face

Overall length between jaw and shoulders

A supple finish, with airy, mobile strands

A cut that accompanies air-drying and natural textures

On the other hand, the classic bob can sometimes seem too strict for the summer season. The butterfly bob, on the other hand, plays on lightness and movement. And that’s precisely what makes it so seductive right now.

A modern layered bob, neither too short nor too long

Halfway between the classic bob and a looser layered cut, the butterfly bob occupies a rare space. It remains elegant without being rigid. From now on, it will be a benchmark for summer 2026.

Its length, between the jawline and the shoulders, suits many types of face. What’s more, the layered strands work equally well on straight or naturally wavy hair. This is one of the reasons why the bob haircut appeals to so many different profiles.

A long-term trend

The success of the butterfly bob isn’t just a passing fad. This bob cut meets a real demand for structured, dynamic, easy-care hair. It also fits perfectly into a minimalist beauty routine.

The layered gradations of which it is composed are, moreover, a tried-and-tested technique. They add volume where hair lacks it, and lighten where it’s too dense. As a result, the result remains flattering, whatever the hair type.

This modern version of the carré ticks all the boxes for a cut designed to be worn this summer. It’s flexible, lively and, above all, far less restrictive than stricter interpretations of the traditional bob. As a result, it’s this season’s top hairstyle choice.

In 2026, the bob haircut has found its most desirable form. The butterfly bob combines lightness, volume and modernity in a single cut. And it’s precisely for all these reasons that it’s so popular today.

Rated 4/5 on Allociné, this historical espionage drama has won over those who have watched it, yet few subscribers know about it yet.

Glória, Netflix’s first original Portuguese drama

The platform’s catalog is packed with American, Turkish and Korean K-dramas. However, productions made in Portugal are extremely rare. Netflix has only produced two Portuguese dramas to date.

The best known is Forbidden Fishing, released in 2023, whose first season was an immediate worldwide success. Such was its success that it was immediately renewed for two more seasons, and the third and final season is now available on the platform.

But in 2021, Netflix had already launched into Portuguese fiction with Glória. This series went somewhat unnoticed, despite its undeniable qualities.

A historical drama set against the backdrop of the Cold War

Glória is a historical drama and spy thriller. The action takes place in Portugal in the 1960s, under the Salazar dictatorship, in the midst of the Cold War.

The main character is João Vidal. Engineer and son of a Portuguese dignitary, he is recruited by the KGB to infiltrate – and sabotage – an American base in his country.

This base, called Radio Free Europe, or RARET, is located in the small Portuguese village of Glória do Ribatejo. It was used to broadcast American propaganda to Eastern Bloc countries, with the aim of taking strategic control of Europe.

Fiction inspired by real events

While all the characters in Glória are fictional, the starting point is real. The installation of a U.S.-linked transmission base in the village of Glória do Ribatejo is real, as is the political context surrounding it.

The series skilfully blends historical reconstruction and suspense. The viewer follows João Vidal as he is thrust into a dangerous game of espionage, caught between two world powers fighting a secret war.

What’s more, the meticulous sets and the atmosphere of 1960s Portugal give the series a visual depth that is rare for a production of this scale.

“Between infiltration, communism, KGB and dictatorship, all the elements are brought together to make this a captivating series. Highly recommend.”

This comment from Allociné sums up how most viewers feel after watching Glória. The series manages to keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish, with no downtime.

What viewers are saying

On Allociné, the reviews are numerous and positive. Subscribers who have taken the time to watch this original production from the platform with the red logo are full of praise.

For example, some write: “I devoured the series in one day. Whether it’s the script, the shots, the sets, the scenery or the actors, this series is worth the detour.” Others praised the “well-crafted script” and called it a “real success”.

Rated 4/5 on Allociné by numerous viewers

A real historical context: the RARET base at Glória do Ribatejo did exist

A plot centered on the Cold War in Portugal under the Salazar dictatorship

The character of João Vidal, an engineer recruited by the KGB to sabotage the American base.

Netflix to launch first Portuguese original production in 2021

Why this series deserves to be (re)discovered in 2026

To this day, Glória remains a little-known Netflix series. Yet those who have seen it enthusiastically recommend it. “Coup de cœur! For fans of spy fiction, you’re in for a treat”, reads the specialized site.

On the other hand, fans of fast-paced action series and spectacular twists won’t be disappointed either. “Betrayals, murders, suicides and plot twists – nothing is left out to captivate us, in addition to an excellent cast and ultra-polished sets”, sums up another viewer on Allociné.

So, if you’re looking for a quality, original and well-researched show, Glória ticks all the boxes. This Portuguese historical production proves that the platform also knows how to capitalize on less mainstream, but just as captivating, stories.

So if you’re fascinated by espionage, the Cold War and the political tensions of the 1960s, this Netflix series is for you. It’s one of those rare programs that you can watch in one sitting, and never look back. As one Internet user put it with beautiful simplicity: “Frankly, it’s excellent.”

A crime novel has just established itself as the must-read of 2026 for all thriller fans. This Japanese thriller, rated 4 out of 5 on Babelio, is beginning to make a name for itself far beyond the usual circles of readers, and there are good reasons for this.

The Tokyo Conjuring: a whodunit that shakes up the codes

Published by XO Éditions in May 2026, this detective novel is called The Tokyo Conjuring. From the very first pages, the plot is set in motion at breakneck speed. A high-ranking international civil servant and his wife are found murdered in the middle of Tokyo, cocaine discovered in their home.

As far as the local authorities are concerned, the case is quickly closed. But one investigator refuses to be satisfied. That’s when this Japanese crime novel takes on a whole new dimension.

This Japanese thriller stands out from the usual American thrillers for its strong cultural anchoring. The story is not content with a simple criminal thread. It takes us into the mysteries of Tokyo, a city as modern as it is secretive, with its codes, hierarchies and shadowy areas.

Kido, an extraordinary investigator at the heart of the novel

The central character is Kido. With her electric blue hair and steely temperament, this UN investigator specializes in tracking down financial delinquents. She quickly senses a global conspiracy behind the double murder.

His suspicions are confirmed when a terrifying shadow appears in the case: that of the “Slicing Cat”, a ghostly, elusive hitman. And so, the central question of the novel becomes: who is pulling this character’s strings?

“By setting the chapters in relation to the day of the event, the author manages to create a frenetic pace that simulates the urgency experienced by the protagonists. It’s a race against time, with each chapter bringing the reader closer to the fateful moment. In addition to this pace, the book highlights Japanese culture: respect, duty to the hierarchy, the place of Sumos.”

A quartet of characters to thwart an implacable mechanism

Kido is not alone in her quest for the truth. She relies on Sanae, her mother, who knows all the city’s underworld. She can also count on Madame Satomi, a yakuza’s right-hand woman, and Masaki, a legendary sumo champion.

This quartet has five days, not one more, to derail an implacable mechanism. As a result, every hour counts, and the tension mounts from chapter to chapter, never letting up.

This Nipponese crime thriller offers much more than a simple criminal intrigue. It offers an immersion in the culture of the Land of the Rising Sun, with its values of respect, its codes of hierarchy and the figure of the sumo wrestlers as a pillar of identity.

A double murder in Tokyo classified too quickly by local authorities

UN investigator Kido rejects official version

An elusive hitman nicknamed the “Slice Cat

A quartet of Kido, Sanae, Madame Satomi and Masaki to solve the case

A race against the clock in just five days

What readers are saying about this Nippon thriller

Babelio has already received enthusiastic reviews for this Japanese thriller. One reader notes: “A very good discovery, a plot that is quickly set up with several points of view, which makes the investigation all the more addictive.” So, it’s the pace and narrative construction that are most appealing.

Opinions also emphasize the cultural richness of the text. On the other hand, this is no mere facade for a change of scenery. The Japanese dimension is organically integrated into the plot, making the reading experience all the more immersive.

Why this Japanese thriller will appeal to thriller fans in 2026

The Asian thriller genre is gaining ground with French readers. Increasingly, suspense fans are looking for stories that break away from the well-trodden Anglo-Saxon path. This novel is precisely what they’re looking for.

The narrative structure of The Tokyo Conjuring is based on a chaptered countdown. Each part brings the reader closer to the fateful moment, creating a constant tension that’s hard to let go of. On the other hand, this Japanese thriller does not sacrifice character depth for the sake of suspense alone.

Kido is a strong female character, rooted in a credible professional reality – that of investigators specializing in international financial crime. Her entourage provides human and cultural counterpoints that enrich the story. As a result, this XO Éditions novel will appeal as much to fans of Japanese culture as to pure fans of addictive thrillers.

With a rating of 4 out of 5 on Babelio, this Japanese thriller has already established itself as one of the most recommended reads of the moment for anyone looking for a breathtaking, exotic and well-crafted novel.

On June 13 and 14, Garnier Ambre Solaire celebrates its 90th anniversary with “La Plage Ambre Solaire”, an exhibition open to the public at Le Visionnaire, Espace François Dalle. A solar immersion in the heart of Paris.

An exhibition of sun, beauty and French culture

Ambre Solaire celebrates nine decades of sun protection with an exhibition designed as a journey through time. Set up for the first time in L’Oréal’s historic building at 14 rue Royale, “La Plage Ambre Solaire” traces the brand’s link with major French cultural developments.

From the first paid vacations in 1936 to new skincare habits, Ambre Solaire has long been at the heart of our relationship with the sun. The brand was born of an intuition: enjoy the sunny days, without forgetting to protect your skin.

Ambre Solaire has also left its mark on the collective imagination with its famous slogan “Brunir sans brûler” (“Burn without burning”). Over the years, the brand has become a benchmark for sun protection in France.

Elle Macpherson, guest of honor

At the age of 59, Laurence Ferrari still boasts a slender figure that arouses curiosity. Her slimming secret is not based on drastic diets or severe restrictions. What lies behind her enduring equilibrium deserves a closer look.

An approach far removed from fad diets

At nearly 60, the journalist impresses with her serene approach to food. There’s no question of her multiplying prohibitions or following extreme methods. Over the years, she has built up a routine based on simple habits, consistently applied.

This approach, reported by Fourchette&Bikini, is based above all on the pleasure of eating. As such, the quality of what she puts on her plate takes precedence over quantity. It’s this quiet regularity that sets her method apart from often ephemeral food trends.

What’s more, Laurence Ferrari has been evolving under the public eye for many years. She admits to taking care of herself, but without ever becoming obsessed. Her relationship with food remains guided by a taste for good things.

Italian roots at the heart of her cooking for her slimming secret

Of Italian origin on her paternal grandmother’s side, the journalist grew up in a culture where cooking plays a central role. This legacy forged a strong bond with home-cooked meals. Even today, she remains a great lover of pasta.

She also appreciates the generous dishes that marked her childhood: tartiflette, fondue, veal with tomato sauce and monkfish Provençal. She continues to pass on these recipes to her children. In this way, cooking represents a link between generations, not a source of guilt.

“His real secret lies not in deprivation, but in the way he cooks.

Laurence Ferrari’s slimming secret: rely on homemade food

Laurence Ferrari’s real slimming secret lies in one simple habit: whenever possible, she favors home-made preparations and natural ingredients. From starters to desserts, she tries to prepare her meals herself. This daily rule naturally rules out processed products.

By choosing to cook for herself, she controls what she eats without depriving herself of the dishes she likes. It’s a simple, accessible form of food awareness. And yet, it’s still not widely practised, as modern eating habits are so far removed from the stove.

Prefer homemade preparations, from appetizer to dessert.

Choose natural ingredients rather than processed products.

Preserve the pleasure of generous, guilt-free meals.

Passing on family recipes as a strong cultural anchor.

Apply these habits consistently, without trying to follow fashions.

So there’s nothing extravagant about this slimming secret. It’s based on a principle that many people know about, but few actually apply over time. Regularity makes all the difference.

A balanced diet for the long term

This way of eating is part of a broader vision of well-being. Laurence Ferrari is not looking for perfection on her plate. She’s looking for a lasting balance, consistent with the rest of her life.

So, her slimming secret isn’t just a list of forbidden foods. It’s about a state of mind: choosing what you eat with care, without putting undue pressure on yourself. This philosophy enables her to remain calm in the face of often contradictory dietary injunctions.

A simple lifestyle routine as a slimming secret

Beyond her diet, Laurence Ferrari pays real attention to her general well-being. She fully embraces her age and explains that she feels freer. Among her most cherished habits, she cites the importance of surrounding herself with positive people and cultivating a genuine joie de vivre.

When it comes to beauty, she follows the same logic of simplicity. She carefully moisturizes her skin on a daily basis and relies on very natural make-up. Accustomed to TV shows, she pays particular attention to her complexion, seeking above all to avoid the mask effect.

This philosophy of life is, in fact, very consistent with her slimming secret: simple gestures, applied with regularity, do more than spectacular methods. Similarly, she prefers small habits that last to big changes that run out of steam. Perhaps this is the real thread that binds her balance at the age of 59.

Her approach is a reminder that taking care of yourself doesn’t always mean turning everything upside down. Laurence Ferrari’s slimming secret is, above all, a quiet consistency, far from announcement effects.

Every summer, the same question comes up: which face sunscreen to be really protected without suffering from a heavy or sticky finish? In 2026, the answer is clear among French consumers, and the figures speak for themselves.

Why Korean sun protection has changed the game

For a long time, applying SPF to the face was synonymous with oily skin, white residue and flaky make-up. But Korean formulas have profoundly changed this experience. Their light, moisturizing textures are a far cry from conventional sunscreens.

As a result, many users have adopted these products on a daily basis, both in town andat the beach. What’s more, they’re no longer just looking for effective protection: comfort of application has become an equally important criterion in their choice.

This change in relationship to SPF goes a long way towards explaining the current craze. Consumers now want a facial sunscreen they can forget to put on their skin, not a product they dread applying.

Idealo analysis confirms the trend in May 2026

According to an analysis carried out by Idealo of the sun creams most consulted on its platform in May 2026, one product came out on top: Beauty of Joseon’s Relief Sun. This result confirms its cult status among skincare enthusiasts.

However, this success is not simply due to fashion. Relief Sun is in first place thanks to a formula designed for everyday use, as easy to integrate as an ordinary day cream.

“It’s already been two summers since it replaced my usual face sunscreen, and I’ve never really felt like changing.”

Beauty of Joseon’s Relief Sun: what really sets it apart

Beauty of Joseon’s Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics SPF50+ combines SPF50+ protection with a formula enriched with 30% rice extract and fermented grain extracts. These ingredients are valued for their moisturizing, nourishing and soothing properties.

As a result, the texture remains light, supple and comfortable on the skin. It doesn’t leave a sticky effect, even when reapplied throughout the day. It’s precisely this point that comes up most often in user feedback.

What’s more, the formula is suitable for skin prone to hormonal acne: it won’t clog pores or cause pimples. This broad tolerance profile makes it suitable for a wide spectrum of skin types.

SPF50+ protection for a high level of sun protection

Formula enriched with 30% rice extract to moisturize and nourish

Fermented grain extracts with soothing properties

Light texture, no stickiness or white residue

Affordable price: €18

A product that’s as at home in the city as it is on the beach

Relief Sun is presented as a sun protection product that is completely forgotten once applied. It’s ultra-light, easy to spread and comfortable even in the hottest weather. So it’s just as suited to city outings as it is to days in the sun.

This versatility is rare for a facial sunscreen at this price. By contrast, most comparable products require a much higher budget for equivalent comfort.

What users remember most

The point that comes up most often is simple: you don’t want to change it. It’s typically the kind of product you buy without thinking, according to the testimonial shared in the source article. User loyalty is undoubtedly the best indicator of quality when it comes to facial sun protection.

What’s more, the fact that it moisturizes the skin and soothes minor sensations of discomfort makes it a double treatment. So it replaces a classic day cream for those who want to simplify their morning beauty routine.

As a result, Relief Sun has gradually established itself as a benchmark in the daily face cream category. Its number-one position in the Idealo analysis of May 2026 is the most recent confirmation of this. For those who are still hesitating, the 18-euro price/performance ratio remains an argument that’s hard to argue with.

On June 3, 2026, in the heart of the Jardin des Tuileries in Paris, Dior Beauté held its very first “Dior Garden Day”. Journalists, content creators and partners gathered to discover what the House has been revealing over the years about how it cultivates, preserves and protects living things.

An immersive event dedicated to biodiversity

Dior Garden Day wasn’t just a communications event. It was a day designed as a concrete invitation to understand the House’s commitment to flowers, gardens and a beauty that is more respectful of living beings.

As a result, journalists and content creators were able to measure, in the field, the extent to which the passion for plants goes beyond mere creative inspiration. In fact, it translates into specific actions, both in France and abroad.

What’s more, the choice of location was not insignificant. The Jardin des Tuileries is one of Monsieur Dior‘s favorite gardens, where he regularly strolled when he lived on Rue Royale.

“An immersive day designed as an invitation to discover the Maison’s commitments to biodiversity, garden preservation and beauty that is more respectful of living things.”

Six years of support for the Tuileries: what the Maison has built

The partnership between Christian Dior Parfums and the Jardin des Tuileries began in 2020. The first concrete action was the renovation of the main central avenue, with the planting of 92 elm trees.

Between 2021 and 2024, this support has been reinforced by a sponsorship program. Achievements include the restoration of the “La Petite Provence” space, the planting of roses and lavender, the restoration of the central Grand Place to its former glory, and the upkeep of the green lounges.

In 2025, the Maison renewed its commitment for a further three years. This commitment now covers not only the areas already restored, but also the beehives in the garden, which are a haven for pollinators.

Partnership initiated in 2020 with the planting of 92 elms in the central alleyway

Restoration of “La Petite Provence” between 2021 and 2024

Planting roses and lavender as part of the sponsorship program

Restoration of the central Grande Place to its former glory and maintenance of the green lounges

Renewal of commitment in 2025 for three years, including garden apiaries

Apiaries, symbols of a commitment to urban biodiversity

The Jardin des Tuileries apiaries occupy a special place in this program. They are true refuges for pollinators. They are also a powerful symbol of the richness of biodiversity in urban environments.

So supporting them is more than just a symbolic gesture. It’s a concrete act that helps preserve fragile ecosystems in the very heart of Paris.

La Maison has therefore chosen to focus part of its renewed commitment on these living spaces, in addition to the areas already restored.

42 sourcing gardens around the world: chains rooted in nature

In addition to the Tuileries, the Garden Day initiative is much broader in scope. The House relies on 42 sourcing gardens in Grasse and around the world to grow its flowers and plants.

These gardens provide the ingredients for our fragrances and skincare products. Yet this network remains largely invisible to the general public, even though it lies at the heart of the House’s creative model.

Sustainable farming practices have been developed here for many years. As a result, each bottle or skincare product carries a story linked to carefully cultivated territories.

Beauty and biodiversity: a responsibility that takes shape in the field

This first “Dior Garden Day” marks a turning point in the way the House communicates its commitments. Rather than mere declarations, it chose to show measurable achievements, anchored in real places.

By uniting 42 partner gardens under a single banner, the Maison affirms that beauty can be thought of in direct connection with the preservation of living things. What’s more, it gives meaning to every ingredient used in its creations.

For both the public and the professionals present on June 3, the message was clear: the relationship between perfume, skincare and nature is not a metaphor. It is built, season after season, in very real gardens, from Grasse to the four corners of the world.
