If you think a wine and cheese party sounds expensive, it doesn’t have to be. To expose you and your friends to a variety of wines, select a theme (for example, Tuscan wines) and have your guests each bring their favorite bottle of wine from this region.
As the host, have plenty of cheeses and appetizers that will pair well with your wine theme. Delish has a great wine and cheese pairing tool in case you need some suggestions.
Select relaxing music that plays in well with the theme of your party. Instead of paying to download music, take advantage of free internet radio such as Pandora.

We recently found a wonderful article from Men’s Health that is full of great fitness tips and we decided to share a few of our favorites with you! Check them out:

Keep your weight training sessions under one hour. After this time, your body begins to produce more of the stress hormone cortisol which will inhibit muscle growth.
Save time and only rest when you need to. Don’t worry about scheduling rests during your workout. Instead, simply take a quick breather as needed.
Replace your shoes. Your shoes should only last about 500 miles. After that you need to get rid of them. Running or jogging in worn out shoes is terrible for your knees.
Don’t try to lose weight by doing sit-ups. Using this method will only disappoint you since it takes about 250,000 crunches to burn 1 pound of fat!

Avoid These Super Bowl Party Fouls

The Super Bowl is nearly here! If you decide to throw a party in your Forth Worth apartment, make sure to avoid these Super Bowl party don’ts:

Don’t put too many your menu too complex. Sure, you want the food to be tasty, but at the same time this is not a dinner party. Focus on food that is easy to prepare and can be eaten with your fingers.
Don’t make guests choose between watching the game and getting more to eat or drink. Make sure that the TV is visible from the food and drink area and that anything else you might need is close at hand.
Don’t over decorate. If you really want to decorate then use team colors, footballs, or team jerseys. Your guest will be more impressed with the game than your decor.

Buy Local at the Fort Worth Cowtown Farmers Market

Most people don’t think of going to the farmers market during the winter months, but here in Fort Worth we’ve got a wonderful year-long market that currently has some great produce for sale!

It’s true that there’s not quite as much produce during the winter months, but it is the perfect time to pick up some delicious root vegetables like carrots, turnips, and radishes, or some greens like lettuce, kale, mustards, and collards. The market is also currently offering some tamales, artisan bread and baked goods, coffee, soap and bath products, cakes, and live plants and fresh cut flowers.

The Cowtown Farmers Market is open year-long, every Saturday from 8am until noon, regardless of weather. The farmers market is located at 3821 Southwest Blvd., Fort Worth, TX. I’m hearing the grumbling: Uninspired retread. No pizzazz. A yawner.

Complain about Mike Mularkey as the Jaguars head coach if you like, but owner Shahid Khan said the hire wasn’t about splash, it was about smart and people will come to see the franchise smartly hired a smart coach.

Consider adding some battery powered lighting in your closet. Keeping your apartment’s closet well lit will help you keep track of everything.
Get rid of anything you haven’t worn in the past year. Or, if you really want to cut down on the clutter in your closet, you could go through your seasonal wardrobe at the end of each season.
Keep your closet smelling great with a box of baking soda and a bag of lavender. The Baking soda will absorb moisture and the lavender will repeal moths.
