New Parkway Locations in Philly Make Parking Safer & Easier.

We are excited to announce a partnership with Parkway Corporation, Philadelphia’s largest and best-in-class parking owner and operator. Through this partnership, ParkWhiz now has over 40 parking locations downtown and in surrounding areas, making it even easier to find great parking near your destination.

Many things have proven challenging in 2020; Parkway and ParkWhiz both believe parking shouldn’t be one of them. With the simple-to-use Tap to Pay feature, anyone with a mobile phone can simply tap a sign to pay at a supported Parkway location. Authorize payment and park seamlessly without touching any tickets, buttons, or payment machines.

ParkWhiz has already installed Tap to Pay signage at nearly 40 Parkway locations with plans to expand by early 2021. As always, existing ParkWhiz consumers can continue to use the app as well. We are excited to expand this innovative technology into Philadelphia and provide a safer parking experience.

Good news for particular parkers! We’re thrilled to announce we’ve added search filters to the ParkWhiz and BestParking apps, giving you the power to find the perfect parking space faster than ever. With this new feature, you can limit your search results to see only facilities with the features and amenities you want.

Have you fallen victim to an endless search for covered airport parking on a business trip? Not anymore!

Are you looking to treat yourself to a small taste of luxury as you drag your toddler to the doctor’s office? Try valet!

How about struggling to find a garage where you can charge your electric vehicle? (After all, your two pet-peeves are destroying Mother Gaia and being late.)

Ever had an issue booking parking at a facility with accessible spaces? For many drivers, this feature is fundamental but all too rare.

Our latest release aims to simplify your everyday journey by removing the pain of finding the right place to park. By giving you the power to search parking facilities in greater detail, we hope to help solve these problems and many more.

Currently, you can filter your search by the following categories:

Parking Type: Self Park; Valet

Location Type: Covered; Uncovered

Pricing Features: Time extension allowed; Elizabeth Lindemulder covers this great new feature in-depth.

Facility Features: Accessible space availability; EV charging; Attended; Exit & Re-entry Allowed; Security on Site

To use our new feature, search for parking in the latest version of the ParkWhiz or BestParking app. Select the “Filters” icon at the bottom of the map screen, then choose options to your heart’s content. Happy filtering!

Our goal is, and always has been, to give you power and choice in how you get where you need to go. Since parking our first car in 2007, we’ve helped millions of people save time, money and headaches that come from circling the block looking for a parking space.

We also understand that life is unpredictable. Things come up and plans change. To give you greater flexibility and control over your travel plans, we are introducing a new feature that allows you extend your booking time at select parking garages.

Simply choose “Extend Time” in the mobile app, your preferred time extension and confirm the change. You’ll receive an updated parking pass with your new extended end time. On top of all that, you will get the same great rates you’re used to every time you extend. Don’t see your favorite parking garage listed? Please let us know in feedback next time you book.

As a driver, you’ve never had more transportation options to choose from. Over the next few months, expect to see new ParkWhiz enhancements and technologies that make travel easier and provide you freedom in how you get to your destination.

At ParkWhiz, we strive to serve parking operators by providing tools to help maximize yield per space. But despite the wave of mobility technology, we have learned that some of the biggest challenges operators face are how to equip on-site staff to manage day-to-day operations and how to quickly support customers.

To ease the job for attendants on the ground, we’re rolling out our newly enhanced mobile attendant app, making it easier than ever for parking operators to track inventory and check in incoming ParkWhiz customers.

The app’s refreshed user interface allows attendants to easily tally current and future reservations in real time, eliminating the risk of overselling spaces. The improved search functionality makes it simpler to search bookings by license plate, reservation ID, or customer name and view full reservation details. The built-in QR scanner lets attendants quickly check in drivers—an essential feature for processing high volumes of customers when staff is limited.

While we expect this update will make the ParkWhiz experience for operators more robust, we don’t plan on stopping there. As with our app for drivers, our goal is to develop new and better tools to support our partners and remove the pain points they experience. We look forward to playing our part in helping operators thrive as mobility technology becomes increasingly woven into the fabric of the parking industry.

The ParkWhiz Mobile Attendant app is now available for iOS and Android. Download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

It’s my great pleasure to announce that Yona Shtern has officially joined ParkWhiz as CEO and I’ve moved to Chairman.

Since founding ParkWhiz over ten years ago, it has been my vision to make it easier for people to move about. In bringing that vision to life, we have put smiles on millions of drivers’ faces. From scratch we took an idea, mixed in unrelenting passion and determination, and built something people love. The key ingredient, though, has been the amazingly talented people I have the privilege of working alongside. They have taught and inspired me all along the journey toward making ParkWhiz what it is today, and it has been the greatest joy for me to come to work with them every day. To our customers, strategic partners, investors and employees, I thank you for your support as we continue to iterate and improve.

While our vision has come to life, the journey is not complete. Mobility is rapidly changing, and with connected and autonomous vehicles soon to hit the road, ParkWhiz is just hitting its stride.

The Board and I spent a great deal of time searching for the right person to help lead ParkWhiz to the next level. Yona is an experienced leader who believes in what we’ve built, but also recognizes how vast our opportunity is for growth. ParkWhiz has been fortunate to have him on our board, and we’re even more fortunate to have him in the driver’s seat.

As Chairman, I’ll continue to be very active, working on shaping our vision and longer term strategic opportunities. I’m thrilled to be working with Yona, our COO Dan Roarty, and the rest of our world-class team as we continue to build a great company that will help shape the transportation ecosystem.

All roads lead to 2018, except when they’re closed on New Year’s Eve in Times Square. That’s why we’ve put together this quick guide to help you navigate the festivities and ring in the new year with no hassles.

Enter Here

If you are heading to Times Square for New Years Eve, you are advised to enter from Sixth or Eighth Avenue.

Road Closures

The New York Police Department will begin closing down access to Times Square starting at 43rd Street and Broadway. The blocks will be closed off as they fill up northward, street-by-street, as the NYPD deem necessary.

The exact times that these blocks close to pedestrian and vehicle traffic will depend on when patrons begin to arrive.

Don’t Drop the Ball When Parking
