Outsourcing web design and development can be a bit tricky. At Parliament Press we prefer to avoid or in-source the actual design part (look and feel) and focus on the development and content management part, as communication can be effectively done remotely. We have found it extremely difficult if not impossible to interact with designers remotely, though if we have local designers, it is possible to have a remote client. Management of the design seems to us to be an in person experience.

Content itself can be outsourced, as long as there good writers who can meet deadlines are found, and there is very clear communication about the content itself.
