New thing…

Part of doing a full on “regularly updated comic” requires “gimmicks” Garfield has spiders, vet visits, kicking Odie off the table and so on.
Peanuts had baseball, the red headed girl, Schroeder & Lucy’s moments of the piano.

Well Curlyfries has its own and I’m adding another to the list. “Getting to know you.” A minor delve into the character’s minds and personalities. What makes them who they are as individuals.

So we’ll begin with random fact #37: Parker loves Burger King, and so do I. Yes Parker is the character closest to my heart. He’s more me than I am sometimes. (You figure it out) While I am known for saying what I think sometimes even I hold back. Parker doesn’t have to.

On the technical side, this is another attempt by me to ease the sometimes burden of drawing full on comics. I enjoy doing them but often times it’s more work than I have time for. These are attempts by me to still bring some wit and humor all while making it easier to update the comic. They certainly won’t be main staple of the comic but rather just a way to continue to express my creativity in limited means.

Blain has a need to be needed. A desire to be loved and that desire is best made clear to him through his pants. Nuthin’ says luvin’ like his bun in the oven.

Okay so I apologize for the comic. And by that I simply mean doing a MoL comic rather than drawing a fresh one from scratch, but it’s been a busy week and while I do actually enjoy the MoL comics and have done them as part of my regular run in the past with out the excuse of Towel Day it wasn’t really my plan this week. So a halt in the story line due to work overload. I’m planning on drawing a new one for next Friday but in order to try to keep with my set schedule this is what you’re getting. It’s my excuse for a fill in.

Today marks the introduction of a new member to the cast. Merlot is a rock star of a girl, who like the rest of the crew finds herself unlucky in love. Can we begin to speculate why? It shouldn’t be that hard to find a normal, decent guy should it?
But who wants normal? Where’s the fun in that? Rock stars want rock stars, it’s as simple as that.

So Merlot joins our rag tag team of no luck love-seekers. So lets give a big warm welcome to the group.

I’m feeling slightly under the weather today so I’ll keep this short and sweet.
