Unplanned Vacation

This summer we didn't plan for a vacation... We had a destination wedding to attend in Asheville NC, which was a last minute planned trip, but we were glad to be there. It's was so much fun to go to Myrtle beach and Smokey Mountains. We Zip Lined and White Water Rafted, it was quite an adventure. That place has variety of activities. The greenery that the East Coast has is priceless.

Santana Row

My favorite shopping place is Santana Row. It's sophisticated hangout place, this being a long weekend was perfect timing for a visit. One can easily spend five to seven hours. They have some really good stores and restaurants.

My husband and sons favorite car. Every visit being there first look and feel.

I am a big fan of Paper Source. You can find gorgeous varieties of colorful papers and card stocks. They have big collection of handmade papers from around the world.

Vacation in Santa Monica

When you are making sudden plans for a small vacation, it's always better then usual. Last Friday we drove to Los Angeles and its takes couple of hours to go there. The next morning we went to Santa Monica Beach, We rented bicycles on the beach and ate good food.

Baby Shower

Last Sunday we went to a surprise baby shower that one of our friends threw. He had planned it and organized so well. He did the decoration and food preparation all by himself.
There were two cakes made out of diapers, one was duck themed with blue ribbon and the other one was flower themed with green/brown ribbon. He also made a diaper wreath and a diaper airplane. What a creative person. We played couple of games and the host was really creative and had little contests prepared in each room, like "guess how many m&ms there are in the jar". There was a lot of food prepared and it was decorated so beautifully.

Camping Trip

Last weekend my family and I went on camping trip. We went to Folsom Lake SRA at Negro
Bar Park. During those two days we had a heat wave of 108 F temperature, but we still had
lots of fun. We rode on jet skis and did other lake activities. There was a total of 50 people
and we spent great moments and some quality time.

Morning breakfast was so yummy.

Yoga with breathing exercise.

My son loves car so he wanted his room decorated like car. We painted his room like NASCAR checkers and decorated with touch of wheel plates. He also likes Ford so added some stickers with light effect.

To blend the outdoors and indoor rooms, this designer made use of Hawaii's most brilliant green and blues. The use of all natural textiles and outdoor sitting area looks gorgeous. In the evening you feel like having a cup of coffee and reading your favorite book. I fell in love with this home's soothing, tropical and contemporary color palette.

This is my dream home, it is in India its very simple and elegant. Look at the small details in it; the hand made rug, chairs,brass utensils, water pot (Mataka), old style switch board, Pati khatala (Bed). When I was young my all time favorite board game was ludo and snakes & ladders; they are also present in the pictures, they're the classics that will never be forgotten. The house's exterior is very unique, the shape of this house is of an old palace in Rajasthan(state in India). It is made out of Mati( Indian mud/clay), the house also has limited color on the outside but that is what highlights the facade.

I can't believe my darling daughter turned

sixteen last week. For her birthday we went

to Mediterranean restaurant; the food was

amazing and I was inspired by the restaurant's

decor.

This textile-rich living room uses colors, comfortable sofas, chairs, cushions, throws, curtains and lamps for displaying treasures that can help bring out an exotic vacation spot in your living room.

This is one of my favorite designs, it has clean lines of paint and at the same time it still keeps the warm exotic Mediterranean feel. I love the mix of hardwood flooring that doesn't overpower the lighting.

Pismo beach

We went to Pismo Beach last weekend to celebrate our marriage anniversary. Pismo beach is located on Central Coast of California. It was very nice and relaxing vacation. Everyday we did different activities like Quad sport, ATV, Banana peel (Fun cycle) and lots of walking on beach collecting sand dollars.... Ocean dunes is another wonder that you find near Pismo, for a while you may forget you being at "beach" and not in "desert". Food choice is amazing especially Italian cuisine and old style cinnamon rolls - everything is mouth watering.

Yesterday I did BBQ party in my backyard. It was 104 Degrees outside. Still it was so much fun. We played some games and sang some songs. I love my backyard the bird are chirping and hummingbird is coming for the nectar. This season we got so many plumes on a tree. so I made plum juice that was hot favorite after that we eat corn (butta) and paneer with Teriyaki zucchini.

Spring Time

Spring time is a curb appeal time. There's no doubt that colorful flowers impact curb appeal greatly. A morning glory at my window satisfies me more then my cup of coffee. So Me and My kids started putting flowers and vegetables garden. This time we are going to put Tomatoes, Cucumber, Watermelon, Honeydew, Red, Green, Yellow Bell peppers, Zucchini and lots of Indian vegetables.

Happy Easter, We did Easter party at our preschool .We have more then thousand eggs filled with chocolates ,candy's and coins. we had a rain, night before our party. So we have to set up our eggs near play structure area but overall kids had a blast.

My son dyed egg like Indian flag.

Kids make bird nest from chow mein noodles with chocolate and jelly bean.
