Magic Pen 2 - Online Puzzle Game

Magic Pen 2 is the sequel to the popular puzzle game Magic Pen in which you must draw shapes and utilise physics.

Object is to guide the red ball to the flag in each of the 32 level by drawing several shapes, the shapes that you draw are affected by gravity, friction and inertia. You need to use these properties in your advantage. Draw objects in such a way that they push the ball towards the flag. This can include using pins and hinges to link two objects together. Hidato For iPhone

In a previous post I already mentioned that you can play Hidato Online and that you can buy also Hidato Puzzle Books. Hidato is now available for your iPhone or iPod with 100 Hidato puzzles and additional puzzles coming up.

Hidato is about completing the sequence of numbers, which must be adjacent either horizontally, vertically or diagonally. The puzzles don't really seem to get much harder as you progress in difficulty. And there is a small number of strategies to learn to solve Hidato. The puzzles remain somewhat easy and only get bigger as the difficulty goes up. Happy Puzzling!

Factory Balls 2 - Online Puzzle Game

After almost two years it's finally time for the second version of Bart Bonte's (from Belgium) puzzle game called Factory Balls 2.

As you probably remember from the first version the object is to drag and drop a ball from the tumbler, over the given tools in the right order to produce the physics of the ball as shown in the brown box. Each level there are different tools are available, like different colors of paint, a pump, airbrush etc.. If you mess up you can drop a ball in the recycle bin, but be careful, you have only 17 balls to complete all 30 levels.

Puzzle This is a 3D-ish puzzle game by AaronOfTomorrow.

Although there are just three levels it's a nice little 3D brain trainer. Try to get all the blocks into the 3D frame provided. More levels would be welcome, but as the 3D frames should get larger this is not really possible. Other problem I have is that the handling of the blocks into the 3D wire frame is not always as I expect to react. Happy Puzzling!

Preposterous Puzzle

Some of the joy of a puzzle is determining an effective strategy for solving it. However the Preposterous Puzzle makes us want to claim impossibility. At first glance you see a square completely filled with wooden pieces. then you are asked to insert a smaller square into the middle without removing any pieces.

Obviously there is just not enough space, but apparently no-one told the folks making this puzzle that it's inherently flawed and unsolvable. But is it?

Unify This - Online Puzzle Game

Unify This is nice little puzzle game by Lee Haywood and looks a bit like online version of Katamino.

Object is to rearrange the colored shapes in the game grid to make a rectangle. Use your left mouse button to drag the shapes around the game grid.

When you generate a new Unify This puzzle, the computer splits a solid rectangle into the random shapes, then it scatters them around in the same way that you might if you were scrambling the puzzle.
