I'm bringing up this Graphic Scrap concept back to my outfit posts! Just like how i love making scrapbooks for real, making the graphic ones are same as FUN! Aaaand this time i don't want to keep the "recipe" just to myself, so that is why on my next post, i will be giving a Photoshop Tutorial on how to make a Graphic Scrap! I admit it's a bit tricky, but once u' get used to the photoshop toolboxes, everything will seem easy. It's ur creativity that u'll have to count on.

Much drama on the top, with all those patterns and colors. But trying to cool it down a bit with monochromes at the bottom.

This necklace is my upcoming project.... This is only the front side because there is actually a surprise on its other side.

And that is what i meant with the "surprise" on the other side :)

Ok that's it! i'm not going to give any more clues about my next project :/ U still have to wait patiently cos i want to make it perfectly right.

How gemstones could be so... controvert

How about if i offer u with gazillions of Sapphire gem stones?

Well i still have this "issue" with Sapphire Gem Stones... Here's how it started. While i was doing my Geography national exam, a question pretty much like this came out: Where is the exact location of Sapphire Gem Stones found in Indonesia. To be honest, i have no idea. I've studied the whole Geography book and learned where coals, petroleum oil, nickel, tin, gold, copper, diamonds, natural gas, etc are spread out in Indonesia, but NONE i've read about Sapphire Gem Stones... At school, course, extra classes at school, national exam exercises, nor books have discussed about this thing. Not even close to it... I've still wished that it would be more like where we can find copper which is in Papua, or Tin in Bangka Belitung, or coals in Jambi... But thank god that was the only question that got my nerves up. I've fought with my maximum ability and my hardest work, also accompanied with nonstop prayers, so i believe that what ever the result is, that's what's best for me. U know, i was thinking to share my personal side of view about this year's national exam which went on not as scheduled ( knowing how the government handled it), but i'm just going to wait until the High School's national exam is over (which is still held now).

But despite that Sapphire in geography, i loved the ones printed on the skirt! I really enjoy graphic prints on clothes, it shows much creativity, and also proves that graphic designing and fashion can collide in a perfect way :)

The spirit of the double date

Since today is a double date, which means it's Kartini day and also Earth day!

I don't think doing nothing on a (usually) lazy sunday is a good idea to celebrate this day.

Let's move and do something to celebrate both! This is a DIY tutorial on how to make a Lettered Stationary.

So since it's Kartini day, i will be making the letter K and using batik fabric! And since it's also Earth day, i will be making it from used carton boxes!

U don't need much to make this, only:

1. Used carton box

2. Printed fabric (leftovers are better)

3. Pencil, ruler, scissor, glue

And it's very very very easy to make! Here are the 5 very simple steps:

VOILA IT'S DONE!

Since it has volume, u can use it for anything! U can use it as a book shelf holder or perhaps just a little decoration for ur room.

Especially to the women's generation. We've learned at school who the history of herself, we know what she's done, and we also know that's she's a hero among all. Ok perhaps changing the whole nation is a bit too far, so how about applying it to urself first? Some things just want to shine on it's own...

I've remembered a quote that pretty much said that, ones who aim for success are ones who shines the most. It's like this, ever known 2 people who goes to the same school perhaps from Junior High - Senior High - also the same college with the same majoring? 1 of them stayed normal, but the other one made success. How come? well the other one refused to stay "normal" and refused to "go with the flow", he couraged his self to go out of his comfort zone, and ambushed all the challenges. Among others, he shines. In the meaning, he's different. It's not always easy being different at the beginning, but well u should know that aiming success is never easy. If u choose to stay steady and blend with others, so how are people suppose to see ur ability? And while going through life, i always hold on to this philosophy. U gotta be "weird" sometimes.

And this look i've assembled describes that philosophy pretty well. I've gathered up a monochrome look, combination of white, beige, and a bit black. But i've purposely paired it with neon colored necklace and collar. So what first caught ur eyes from the first time u saw this look? The accessories in neon, right? Yes, exactly, just like the philosophy. It "shines".

Despite that, i've always loved a touch of brightness in a calm look. It just gives a freshening vibe :)

I know, navajo patterns are pretty mainstream these days, but i suppose if i create a different look (compared to what people usually pair navajo patterns with nowdays) to it makes it not so mainstream, yes? And actually, the big pattern in the center is gold colored, and i like it! It gives a more elegant touch.

Btw, have u spotted something different in my blog? YESSSS!! I've made some changes to it! I actually wanted to change the template but had some troubles with it. So for this time, i guess this should do just well.

I wanted to constantly make DIY's, Photoshop Tutorials, and share my artworks at least once a week (if not possible, every 1,5 weeks perhaps...), so on the left section there i've put a logo of my current DIYs, tutorials, and artworks. So each time i've made a new post about it, u'll see it on the left section bar. And i'll also share my self made "quotes", based on experiences and personal side of view :)

Let's start with something fresh yet a bit... classic

I don't think i have ever worn midi skirts.... So i suppose today is a historical day. I wanted to bring a more classic look this time but still hold on to the "fun" and "freshness" with the colors. So i gave it a try wearing this midi skirt and.... it went well! I actually liked it. The 1 thing i'm concerned when wearing a midi skirt is that i have small legs and the skirt would make my legs look even smaller. But i guess i was half wrong.

The skirt would look very dead if i hadn't combine it with vibrant colors. And i think orange, red and a bit of yellow would do, also knowing that these colors are actually "mates", and perhaps the necklace includes all the colors... so it became the center of attention . Since it won't bring a "too much" look if i had combined it with bold daring colors, neither a "monotone" look if i matched it with all same colors. But the white lace top and socks came to neutralize the whole look, and also giving it a more classic look. I'm enjoying wearing these, it just makes me feel more...elegant i think.
The necklace itself is my upcoming project! Well yes i've been preparing for this big "project" but i guess u still have to be patient enough cos it will still take a while, since i'm still prioritizing other things like school. humm... sure i'll give u a clue. Well it includes a lot of colors and patterns and "wicked" designs. just WAIT! :)

Contribute To Earth

Has anyone noticed that there will be another round of Earth Hour on March 23?

Well you should! U don't need to ask why it's so important, because we do need to save our earth. We are the ones that caused the damage so we are also the ones who need to fix them. A very simple action to actually make a great change. When else can you do something like this?

But that doesn't mean that after the 23rd, u are able to do ur clumsy activities again that actually make a bad impact for the earth. This campaign is also something to open our eyes, make us realize that living a green lifestyle IS important.

So Earth Hour is always a good start to make a green lifestyle :)

And i'm not saying this just because of this campaign. In my daily life, i HAVE done many green actions constantly. And it's becoming a habit. And i think u should start urs too :)

So, here's a video that (hopefully) will bring awareness to u all.

AND , it's actually a dare!!

I've always loved how red and blue go together, and this time i tried to combine them both by layering 2 tops together 1 in denim and 1 in red. But i only wanted to show red as an essential so there it is as a collar and an accent on the sleeve.

This looovely Daily Wardrobe floral bag is not only beautiful, it also became very useful to me! I can never resist floral patterns, and this one's quite unique with a twist of brown leather. And on the same hand, it's size makes it able to carry my laptop! Laptop's been an important item for me now that makes me have to bring it everywhere, and this bag allows me to do it. I could also use it for school or just for a day out. Me Gusta!

The sun starts to dim and the sky slowly changes to black, almost black. Small sparks of light starts to emerge, and there, caught by the human eye, a round shaped object that lights up the empty sky . Here i am, at a place where i usually take place, on a silent Saturday night........ home. All alone.
It's not truly a desperation, it's just me confronting a new routine. Been doing it for quite some time, and getting used to it.
It's a good time to put some writings in this blog. But not an outfit post or other creative posts that i usually put up. It's more of a brief explanation of why, why i've been running away. Well it seems like i'm running away but contrarily, not.

Does this picture show enough? Does it explain enough?

If u are based in Indonesia, you might get what this 6 lettered word stand for and what it actually means. SNMPTN. Do i need to explain? do i..... well duh yes i do. So SNMPTN is a selection of potential students to enter universities in the country level with the National Pattern exam tests skills and write a special program for a specific study. But the one i'm entering is the SNMPTN Invitation. How is the selection? Well, the first consideration in the selection of the schools is the school's score to determine the quota. School score includes average value in SNMPTN of those schools alumni, the average of GPA cumulative of the universities' students who come from those schools and school rankings that have been established by National Education Office in each region. After that, students' academic achievement becomes the second consideration with the reference value of report card of each semester. In some faculties, there are special rules related to the value of this report card. The easy word is, the judgement will be from the accreditation of the school (how good is the school) and also from the students' report card + certificates of our achievements.

Since there will be thousands of students through the nation who will be enlisted while there are only tens of seats available each faculty, this is not "just" some game. Say this, I've chose University Indonesia (Indonesia's top university) and majoring in Communication/PublicRelation. From last year's data, there are 3.365 students enlisted for this majoring, while the ones accepted are only 60. See what i mean? It's a big competition, a very tough one. It's a competition where there is no mercy, it's all about urself.

Many people who knew me through this blog got a bit shocked. " Why didn't you take Fashion Design?" They all had the same question. Well, my life is not all about fashion, and it doesn't have to be. I don't want to be the girl who can only do 1 thing and stay forever there in her comfort zone. I want to explore. For me, education is truly important, but that won't stop me from doing other activities and projects that i'm passionate about. The majoring i'm taking itself is also something i'm interested in. I've made long and intensive thoughts before i actually made my final decision. I've also made plans and targets what i'll be doing in my first year of college, 2nd year, and so on. And i'm fully excited about it! So the thing is, although i didn't take Fashion as a majoring in college, i WILL still be doing whole lots of things that has to do with it. Instead, i will also be doing many other things that are not alike! Life is about wandering :) It's good to have many different experiences written down in my portfolio, so that's why, with all the time i still have, i will be collecting experiences :)

My mom told me that High School shouldn't always be about the fun, but also about focus. But i said how about if i can do them both! I still get the best time of my life here in High School but also focusing on my studies. And until now, i can proof that it's possible to have them both. I have all my wonderful friends with me and all the experience i've been thru with them all was just.... priceless. But at the same time i didn't set my studies aside, they were also a priority. I didn't want my high school to pass with no achievements because it will be the stupidest thing i'll ever do. So i never said no to opportunities. I've joined olympiads, competitions, organizations, working for an event and as head projects and all productive yet positive things.Those were all for the experience. And yes, i've learned soooo much from those all.

That didn't mean that it was a piece of cake doing best at balancing the fun side of high school and also for my academic and non academic achievements. I have ever been at my lowest point where i was desperate enough, but i rised and went on. My school's one of those schools with strict rules and the whole studying system went like crazy. But surprisingly i survived and yet done my best.

So since this SNMPTN Invitation selection will be based on the student's academic and non academic achievements in high school, i've regret none. Alhamdulillah. But i can still feel the pressure i went through from the beginning until now. The hard work, the only-3 till 4-hours of sleep, the sweats, the tears, and everything. But all of this led me to no regrets. :)

My fight is still not over yet. I'm halfway done, but the hard ones are still waiting and not yet done. This will go on until Mei or June, i still can't predict. Since being accepted in University of Indonesia majoring in Communication/Public Relation is my main goal, i've to put my full focus on this. I can feel the pressure again, but it's more of a positive pressure. The pressure that'll lead me to something good only if i can face it constantly. I'm trying so hard to bring out my best with the available time left. Hopefully, these are truly all my best :) PLease wish me luck, ur prayers and supports will mean the world to me :)

Believe it or not, I have never done any beauty treatments… I’ve never tried facials and its other friends. It’s just that I guess my face goes pretty well without any of those helps. Although I do most of my activities outdoor, out in the sun and getting polluted with Jakarta’s sarcastic air, I still don’t pay that much attention to my skin face and others. Before activities, I only put a small amount of moisturizer and perhaps that’s all. Then when I get home, I clean my face with baby soap… yes baby soap.

But I've finally realized that it's time for me to actually pay more attention on my outer beauty. Besides the fact that i'm already 17 now which also means that more and more skin and other beauty problems will often occur. And i also have this statement that i don't want many people to hurt their eyes by seeing my face in horrible situation here in my blog. What i mean by horrible is unhealthy skin. My main goal to have this blog is to inspire others and also channeling my interests at the same time, but not to give cataracts.

I still remember i've once about to take photos of myself for an outfit post for this blog but found out that i have this big acne on the right side of my cheek, which everyone can see clearly. I tried to put foundation on it, hoping it'll fade or sumthin. But since it's so big and red, nothing helped. Soooo i didn't do the photoshoot. My mood just dropped.

But when some skin problems do occur, that doesn’t mean that I’ll do nothing about it. Because I really have to do something about it, fast. Hellooooo to all of youuu!! Gosh it's been years since i've vacuumed... super sorry >.< I was in a middle of a situation where i had to prioritize many things and perhaps set aside some other things that could be delayed for a moment... It was pretty hectic, well very hectic. But i was enjoying the moment though. Sometimes, when u do things with full passion and interest, all of those tiredness are nothing compared to the enjoyment u're having. Problems occur, but u'll always have a way out. And it always brings a smile in the end :)
I'm happy that i'm living my life to not just be a person that does nothing. Being active makes me feel alive. Although i've always been struggling with time, but that's just something that i'm working on to get the solution. At my age, i'm blessed that i could do and experience many things that not all people at my age could. It makes me feel i'm 1 step ahead and ready for the upcoming days. I didn't know how this all started, but i'm always open for new things. And i guess my curiosity and the willing to jump in and try new things are the keys that led me to my position now.

But recently, i've actually been struggling. And the main problem is.... time. I really need a way out to this. But it's just hard.
Let me picture this. Right now, while writing this post, i have some programs and tabs opened on my computer. I have microsoft word standing by, i'm working on a product review, a school task about a profile biography and another school task making papers about social surveys. Also Adobe Photoshop to edit some pics for this post and the product review i've mentioned. Oh and i also gotta control and make the databases and concept of my school yearbook. I actually changed my phone's wallpaper to these to-do-list as a reminder.
That's a lot but i've actually planned to do most of them all today. I've never been worried about my energy and health because hopefully it won't be a problem. It just the time that worried me too much. huff. While writing this, i keep checking on my phone to see what time it is. Perhaps extend 1 day to be 30hours, yes?

By the way, this time i'm clashing in strong patterns! Houndstooth + geometry. But i actually liked it and it goes pretty well! Since the whole look are dominant in monochrome, it won't be eye hurting and the rasberry color on the geometric inner makes this look dashing. Such an experiment.

I have this awesome event that u all have to come!!

Okey so this might be a different kind of event i usually announce, cos there won't be any bazzar or any fashion-related. It's an event where u can dance along with the music all night long!! It's my school's event ( 34 senior high school ) and made by my own school generation! There will be SERINGAI , ADERA, and PASUKAN LIMA JARI. There will also be many fun games :o

It's an event colored by great music that allow you to dance 'till u drop. The greater part is,it's created by Indonesian Youth :)

And i will also be there!! So there's a big chance we could meet :)

Multiway Batik

So my mom just sewed these beautiful Batik Cirebon fabric and apparently they both have 2 sides in different colors...awesome. My mom sewed them horizontally and now it's more of a multiway item, which means that i can turn them into anything! Like these....

Turning it into a bolero!

And also a skirt! I only need safety pins.

I really love the fabric, it's called Paris fabric. It's super soft and also flowly. These are one of those modern batiks that i really adore, with the super sweet colors.

And the necklaces are all S.A Crafts collection that will be airing super soon!

So, who says Batik is boring? :)

I am sooo sorry for the long wait.... I've actually planned to make an outfit post around last week but too bad i was struck by fever :( My body was so weak that i didn't even have the energy to get up. It lasted for around 4-5dayish.sigh.i even missed the AutumnWipeOut!! arrrrrgh. But i went to Puncak on Sunday.... i wasn't healthy yet then, but i thought that if i stayed at home, all i'd do is just sleep at the same boring bed, so i wanted to be in a fresh and new atmosphere so i went on. And i guess i really need some fresh air cos not long after that i'm back healthy again! yeayyy. So celebrating my healthiness, here's an outfit post....with Sabrina!

I guess i've never shown you all what's inside my bag, am i right?

So this time, i think it's time for me to do that! Buuut it's just not a regular day bag cos it's my school bag!

You might be wondering why it's soooo small.... Well actually right now, i'm having these Try Out tests which means that i don't have to bring any of my school books etc. So i just brought some small essentials that i actually can never leave home to school without them. And these are my primer essentials when i go to school.

1. SMA 34 2013 sweater : This is my HighSchool generation's sweater! And it's becoming something that i always bring everyday, despite the super soft fabric and it does look awesome when u wear it! // 2. Red lego notebook: I write aaaall of my important notes here, so i would rather loose my cell rather than this notebook... well not exactly, but it is THAT important. All of my project notes and ideas are all there. // 3. GoGirl! Journal: And this is the cutest journal i have so far! Having a tumblr photo collage as the cover is a super brilliant idea! It is becoming supeeer useful! I like to doodle around here and write the tasks that i have to do. I hate myself for always forgetting things that i must do, so this journal is such a helper :" // 4. AnnaSui wallet: Idcards, other kinds of cards, money, photos, flashdisc, tickets, trashy bills, keys, etc are all in there. I even put my earrings there... I use it more like a pouch i guess, cos my phone even fits there! I like it bwcos it's slim and won't eat too much space in my bag, and of course the floral prints are just daring. // 5. Eeyore Flashdisc: I actually have 2 flashdiscs that i always bring everywhere with me, since the files are super important. Don't know why, but i always feel sumthin is missing when i forgot to bring them. But this one's a super cute one :3 // 6. Pencils, Pens, Erasers, Colored markers,etc: These pencils,pens,and erasers will only be here temporary, because i'm pretty sure that i'll loose them in a couple of days later haha. They probably will last for about a week, and that's usually a record. But i always need my markers, cos it's always fun to have colorful writings :D // 7. Glasses: Yes i wear glasses!! But only at class though. I'm a minus 2,5... yes that's big :" but for daily activities, i don't wear them cos i usually get dizzy if i wear them too long. weird. But i ALWAYS have them with me, cos honestly i can't read a writing that's above 1meterish from me. 8. The ugly duckling blackberry: U don't wanna see the sides of this phone... hahaha it's a blackberry but the function is more of a nokia. The trackpad can sometimes work but sometimes can't... i'm pretty sure that only some people can operate this phone :" But it's antique! Although it's super worst, i still find it suuuper useful. I only need bbm,sms,twitter,calculator,pictures folder and that's all! haha I'm not that kind of technology geek kinddof girl. As u can see here, the only gadget i bring to school it this phone! No ipods no androids no iphones. For music, i'd rather play it with my computer with the speaker, cos i sometimes like to dance along...hihi // 9. Lip balm: Everygirl needs a healthy lip! // 10. Toywatch Watch: This is what i always count on when i have schedules! But this watch sometimes freaks me out... when i'm late for things.

I'm using the GoGirl! Journal to write down my tasks!! Aaaand ofcourse with colorful markers! :D

Here's a closer look of my Ugly Duckling Phone! I sort of made a makeover to it so it wouldn't look too....antique :" And i also have this Sincan pluggy! Tito also has a similar one to this :o So it's like a couple pluggy,eh?

By the way, i'm enjoying my time with this pink fringe drawstring bag from ROMWE! I'm more of a sling bag type and rucksacks for school. I don't know, but i always have this deepest interest in drawstrings. And also this bag has these fringe accents which i looove! I have an indian fringe bag but it's in brown which is pretty random, but this one is in pink which is pretty rare! And also some gold round studds to crate a fierce look... with pink!

VINTAGE lace blazer, Mom's neon line top, Handmade tutu skirt, Nine11 necklace, Centro red shoes, Unbranded sequin purse + socks

and i guess there seems nothing wrong with it :)

I'm shrinking noooo! Hahaha i know this is very absurd... Yes it's Sabrina o.O I don't have any outfit photos yet to post here, but i wanted to make a post... Then i remembered i have once taken Sabrina's photo when she was about to go to a wedding party, so why not just post that one! hihihi
