Nice, it was the server part that I could not find. Note that I am in APAC and needed to used red003 for the server not red002. This matched parth of the FQDN of the exchange server from my OL Account.

Hi Just bought a refurbished Dell Laptop - Latitude E5500. You are so right when you mention that the pc looks so much like a Thinkpad. I like the build quality on this beast. However mine came with a Intel 4500 MHD and all I have is a 1280x800 display. I also wish Dell did a better job with the keyboard though. I have a Thinkpad and I luv the keyboard. It makes you wanna type again and again and again. But the keyboard on this Latitude has been my only gripe so far. I replaced a Gateway MT6729 with the E5500 and I am happy by all means. Got mine from the outlet for USD 470 tax and shipping included.

Patrick,

Hi, how are you?
Good to see you've come over to the Apple side, welcome.

I'm converted and convinced since several months already, and also came from the Windows Mobile side, using an HTC Touch (now sitting useless and broken in a cupboard).
The iPhone's software install via the AppStore is amazing compared to the extremely difficult way of getting software on a Windows Mobile device. My HTC had required me to reinstall 6 times from scratch after hard re-initialisations...
Windows Mobile required you to be too much of a tech guy, to get and keep matters working and using.

As you said, the iPhone's paradigm of the superior touch screen with finger usage is light years ahead of anything in the old world.
The AppStore has tons and tons of free material next to the commercial, and its is really usable, but moreover also great fun. My favourite fun app is a fake lighter, used to wave at pop concerts.
All of the minor or currently missing features of the iPhone are easily forgiven by 99% of its users.

By the way, try "pwning", you'll be even more convinced. It's totally safe and will bring your iPhone in second gear, because yes, there is a second gear ... About 2rd of the missing official features or more is available in the "pwn-ed" world.

So welcome to the Apple side, because I know how hard an MS-convertee your are or "were".

Kind regards,
Erik (a former colleague of yours at Real

[...] Mobistar does have such a product, mind you, but instead of advertising it on their homepage in big red flashing letters, it’s buried deep on the Mobistar iPhone website, and Mobistar customer service personnel thinks that you can only use that product if you also have an iPhone. They don’t even understand that you can use it with any 3G-compatible smartphone, as I regretfully found out after about 20 phonecalls to them about 2 months ago when I was looking into this. They kept insisting that there was no way I could use that type of connection unless I had an Apple iPhone (which is complete nonsense of course: I had it activated on my contract anyway, and I’ve been using it ever since with a Windows Mobile device) [...]

Very good point. Many people are asking this exact question so im glad to see indepedent thought being put in here. Windows Azure in my opinion will really change things. Anytime .NET developers have been truly empowered in the past it has led to great success, and i think we will see that here. (then again, i am biased :])

FYI on your ideal service, Syncplicity offers similar storage limits to Dropbox, syncs multiple folders, offers elegant versioning and conflict resolution, and easy sharing. I've just started @ Syncplicity as the business development manager. I'd be interested to know your thoughts on the product. You can get a free account (base 2GB, with referrals up to 5GB) @ Syncplicity.com.
