Oopps - that was a long ‘week’. But I wanted to dig into this a bit more, and test a couple of things..

So, following on from part1 - about not buying anymore ‘how-to’ products.. if we are not experiencing success, and have the ‘want’ to - where do we go? what do we do with that?

[Ever have the feeling you've bitten off more than you can chew..]

We already mentioned that success is a ’state’ - an ongoing experience, not an event or achievement. And because we experiences feelings inside of ourselves, within our deeper mind - all experiences are personal - unique to us. Other people may say they experience happiness - but their experience of happiness will be different to yours. The nature of happiness is the same, but the experience of it is personal.

That’s why people disagree about what is beautiful, what is pleasant, tastes nice etc - because experiences are internal and unique to us.

And this is the secret - our experience of success is inextricable linked to who we are - our uniqueness. Not in an abstract theoretical way - by physically - our uniqueness actually is our success.

Endless studies, and also your own experiences, show us that we all have natural talents, gifts and abilities. And we are all different. Sure, there are similarities - but who is the best in the world at being you? - and who is most expert on knowing you? yes - you are.

When you know who you are - not just on the outside, but on the inside - when you really discover your unique gifts and talents - you also discover the answer to an amazing question: “Why am I here?”.

Because the bottom line is, you are here to be you.

Ok - yes, it takes a little time to get this, and also how to work out the best way to ’show up’ - put those gifts to use.. but once we know who we are, and how to actually ‘be’ or more accurately ‘do’ ourselves - everything comes together.

So - I’ve taken success apart, and then put it back together again. That’s what we humans do by the way - take it apart with our heads, and then put it back together with our hearts [the paradox].

So success is a way of being and doing - it’s not a goal to be achieved, you can’t actually measure success itself as an experience, it’s a state of mind - actually it’s a feeling - in the feeling part or subconscious part of our mind.

So what does it look like?

When we are in a state of success, we are being and doing four things:

We are in a process of Growth - internally and externally. Making progress, moving towards fuller expansion and expression. Internally that’s increasing awareness and understanding. It’s part of the life principle.

We are in a process of Integration - internally and externally. Integrating our heads and our hearts, integrating ourselves with the thing that bigger and greater than we are. Also integrating fractured parts of ourselves that we see separate from ourselves (healing), whether it’s through relationships, acceptance etc. This also includes creative integration, building businesses, partnerships etc. It’s when we’re connecting separate pieces and creating a larger whole.

We are in the process of Value - internally and externally. We value ourselves more as we recognise our gifts, talents and their value in the world. We also value others more as we see how by joining and integrating we co-create. We also learn how to provide value by being ourselves.

We are in the process of Expression - internally and externally. As we recognise our own true nature, that is reflected in how people see us. As we express ourselves, and our gifts and talents, we ’show up’ authentically. And when we express ourselves within the context of value - we create value by being ourselves.

Growth, Integration, Value and Expression - GIVE. When we are ‘being’ all of those things - we are giving - not of our possessions, or time, but of ourselves, authentically - we are repaid handsomely.

An important aspect of this - is the channel or vehicle we choose for that expression. What works best for us is also built into our individuality - we can discover this.

So far - we can see that we first need to know who we are, and then we have to ‘be’ and ‘do’ who we are - all the time evolving, growing, healing and expressing who we are - through our natural talents, within a context of value. Basically, we get paid for being ourselves.

It’s no co-incidence, that when we are being ourselves, we our most powerful and effective. Its that law of attraction stuff. You know what it’s like when you meet someone who is centered, authentic, you can feel the integrity and congruency - it has a powerful and attractive force - and it’s good wholesome attractiveness, not a false attachment or greed based attractiveness.

For me - the internet is an amazingly powerful tool - perhaps the most powerful tool out here in the physical world. It has reshaped cultures, transformed the world. It is also infinitely flexible - and so for me - ideally suited to all kinds of tasks, and purposes.

The beauty of the internet, is that it allows the creation of information or electronic products/services - manufacturing and distribution costs are minimal, it can be automated which allows for the setting up of multiple income sources working on auto-pilot. It allows access and communication to a market that no other medium provides, and frees us from the constraints of time - no more 9 to 5.

So for me - the secret is to first understand yourself - who you are, what your gifts are. Then find a way to be yourself, express yourself, using the internet and information/electronically, and setup multiple income streams.

If we simply start to do stuff on the internet, without first aligning that to who we are, we run the risk of making our success dependent on our weaknesses, and not our strengths - it will be hard work, limited results, no passion, and won’t be fulfilling or rewarding - so although we may make money, we won’t feel successful.

So there’s no point just building a list, and then trying to sell them stuff. How does that align with your talents and your values. Are you growing in the process, are you expressing something of who you are - and creating value through that - or are just just trying to get money. Do you think people will sense the difference?

There’s also not really any point just starting out with affiliate marketing - which is really just trying to get people to buy stuff in the hope you make a commission. Are you giving something of yourself in what you provide? Again, although some people will make money, even lots of money - will they also feel fulfilled, successful?

Building mini-sites for adwords, niche product sites - these are all great sounding ideas in the rational thinking mind - but are they enabling you to fulfill the four criteria, grow, integrate, value, express?

Part 3 - the final part - will show you how to go through this process.

How to discover your true self, talents, strengths.

How to be authentic - be and do you.

How to use the internet as a vehicle for being and doing you.

Who knows - there might even be an online coaching program in the works - taking you through it all step by step..

- to your spectacularly fulfilling and authentic success.

Paul.

This might upset a few people.. This might inspire a few people.. If you’re not living on the edge you’re taking up too much room (ermm.. thanks Bob).

Do not buy another ‘how-to’ (make money, be successful, succeed online) product. Not for a while anyway..

You know that question we sometimes ask: “If I could do it all again, what would I change..?” - and the typical courageous answer: “Nothing - I wouldn’t be where I am today without all the people I met and all the things I did..”

Well, I really like who I am, and love my life - and of course all the people in it - but for the first time ever - when a good friend and myself were chatting about this - I said “I’d do it all differently..”

Technology has been the money earner for me. It comes naturally, I love it - it’s a very powerful and creative tool, and it’s been my career. It still is really. It’s what I do when I work, and what I do when I take a break from work.

Us human beings - people, and more so the mind - fascinate the pants off me. As a child I used to read books on anatomy and physiology, in between “technology” I trained as a psychiatric nurse, an acupuncturist, studied psychology, metaphysics, practiced meditation for many years, trained as a Life Coach, and have done many years of experiential workshops - digging into the deep stuff and getting my hands dirty (very dirty actually - metaphorically speaking).

So when my buddy asked me the question, I answered “No - I’d do it all differently.. I wouldn’t do technology at all - I’d just work with people”. This surprised me.

The reason is what might inspire or upset people. It’s about success. Success is personal - it means different things to different people. It could be financial freedom, could be fulfilling relationships, could be a meaningful life, making a difference, changing the world. They are all valid. What we really want is the experience these things bring us, and the others in our lives.

To me success is having choice; knowing we have choice; and exercising that choice. Choice about what we think, feel and do. Choice about how we experience our reality. Imagine being able to choose how you see your world, how you respond to events, to choose what emotions you feel.

It’s not that we then choose not to feel certain emotions like heartbreak and pain, but that we choose to feel them. Choosing makes all the difference.

They say people don’t like change. That’s not true - people don’t like being changed. If they choose to change, there’s no resistance.

The truth is, we already choose everything - we choose the way we feel, think and act. But because we don’t always know that, it doesn’t feel like choice.

Did you know you are already 100% successful?

The questions is not “Why am not successful?” - which really means why am I not experiencing the things I want to experience.

The real questions is “Why would I choose to be successful at failing?” - i.e. why would I choose to experience it this way - sounds crazy I know.

It gets worse (better). When we feel unsatisfied, we look for a way to change that. We look for a ‘how-to’. These are mechanisms of the conscious mind.

The things is, the reason we are being successful at failing, is because we are choosing to be - below the conscious level. So whatever we try, unless we change that deep belief, we will fail (ermm.. succeed at failing..)

So if you are not experiencing success, and you have tried more than one other “Internet/Online Success Program” - whatever you try will not work. In fact, you should probably stop looking at how-to’s altogether. The problem isn’t a how-to - it’s a why-not-to. But it’s hidden.

You have a deep hidden reason for not being successful (for being successful at “not being successful”). It might be a self-esteem issue, a low self-image, or some conditioning from parents, teachers or guardians.

We all have hidden sub-conscious beliefs about who we are, what we are capable of - and we can’t violate or surpass those limits. We only ever come up against them if we try. Try to be very successful if you have these hidden limits - and you’ll bounce right off them. They’re hidden - so it will look like there are very good reasons for failing (succeeding at not being successful..). Not enough time, not enough money, un-supportive relationships, lack of opportunity, unfortunate situation, unlucky circumstance.. blah blah.. Just watch what happens when we try.

Remember - this is all hidden - so it won’t make sense at first.

In fact - the main symptom of someone who has a deep hidden block to success - is the conscious thinking of not knowing how-to. We don’t realise we are getting exactly what we want. We think our apparent lack of success is a how-to problem - we just need to learn how to be successful, learn how to do what other successful people have done, and do it. It’s a 21st century myth. And it costs people like you and me a fortune.

Successful people never worried about the how-to - they just got busy, and it happened. Not necessarily easily, but the point is they didn’t block themselves, so they never got stuck.

So - what can we do about this?

Part 2 - this week.

When we are in a high state of coherence, we are not stressed, we are in a healthy re-rejuvenative state - rebuilding our bodies healthily, instead of perpetuating our states of dis-ease, stress and unhealthy-ness.

It’s a very fast way to learn how to relax, and hence de-stress..

On a deeper level - it’s all related to new science, energetics, epigentics, the biology of belief [check our Bruce Lipton, Dawson Church].. which was what the EFT and Matric ReImprinting Course was all about..

love it..

~ to your energetic successes,

Well this one had me stumped.

A message with a zip file attachment was blocked and held in the Mailscanner quarantine.

Going into the Mailwatch system, and releasing it - it immediately gets blocked and quarantined again.

So - whitelist the sender - still gets blocked. You can see the ‘WL’ above showing that it’s whitelisted, but still blocked as ‘Bad Content’.

Check the Mailscanner conf files - all looks ok - still gets blocked.

Turns out that in my Mailscanner.conf, the settings for archives.filename and archives.filetype point direct to the relevant archives.rules.conf:

Archives: Filename Rules = %etc-dir%/archives.filename.rules.conf
Archives: Filetype Rules = %etc-dir%/archives.filetype.rules.conf

For standard Filename and Filetype Rules - it’s different:

Filename Rules = %rules-dir%/filename.rules.rules
Filetype Rules = %rules-dir%/filetype.rules.rules

These two rules files, differentiate between messages from the localhost/postmaster and other addresses.

There were no such options for the Archive filename and filentype - so here’s the changes I made:

In Mailscanner.conf:

Archives: Filename Rules = %rules-dir%/archives.filename.rules.rules
Archives: Filetype Rules = %rules-dir%/archives.filetype.rules.rules

In %rules-dir%/archives.filename.rules.rules:

Send the localhost/postmaster to %etc-dir%/archives.filename.no.rules.conf
Send the default to the original %etc-dir%/archives.filename.rules.conf

In %rules-dir%/archives.filetype.rules.rules:

Send the localhost/postmaster to %etc-dir%/archives.filetype.no.rules.conf
Send the default to the original %etc-dir%/archives.filetype.rules.conf

The rules files are the originals, the no.rules files simply contain:

allow . - -

hope this helps you solve the problem of retrieving quarantined files with attachments from Mailscanner.

cheers,

Paul.

We could even call it eco-friendly!

Basically, you just need to enable zlib in your php.ini. There are various ways to do that, a number of them through admin panels which make it very easy..

Here’s some posts which outline this and other processes for turbo charging (and ecofying (is that a new word?)) your wordpress blog:

Every now and then, my laptop needs a clean re-install. On my list of essential programs, is anti-virus. Over the past few years, I’ve gone for Norton Internet Security. It does a good job I think, even if it seems to slow my system down a bit.

Well, this morning I was chatting with my twin brother Peter (we’re supposed to be identical, so how come I’m better looking than him?)..

Peter pointed me to Microsoft’s new offering - its free anti-virus program - Microsoft Security Essentials

Hmm.. how does that compare to Norton Internet Security.. A quick search revealed some interesting updates.. It seems, that Norton still has a reputation for slowing the system down somewhat. BUT.. quite a few people swear by a few other free programs, and which seemed to have excellent feedback. The same ones cropped up again and again.

I think maybe, we might be close to the point where free anti-virus, malware and security might just do the job..

Take a look at the programs people talked about - these are all free by the way:

Microsoft Security Essentials - www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

MalwareBytes’ Anti-malware - www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

SuperAntiSpyware - www.superantispyware.com

Avast Anti-virus - www.avast.com

All the best,

Paul.
