I was going to write this giant, cathartic blog post about what I’ve gone through over the past year, but I ultimately decided against it.

Instead, I’ll just share a list of things that I’ve deeply thought about over past 12 months:

- I highly value loyalty and empathy. Anyone that doesn’t is not someone I want closely around me.

- The instruments I play are tools to help me make music. The tools do not define me, regardless of what anyone says.

- The music I make is of my own personal journey, and anyone is welcome to come along for the ride. But don’t ever forget that I’m the one at the wheel. No backseat drivers are allowed, unless I’m asking for directions.

- There are always going to be “fans” that are disappointed with anything I create. There are always going to be fans that are happy with anything I create. This is a simple fact, and that’s all it should be. It should never be a motivating or hindering factor while I’m creating.

- I love more than just music. Just as I left the classical world to explore the worlds of Jazz, Hip Hop, and now electronic music, I should allow myself to be equally adventurous in trying my hand at other disciplines outside the musical universe.

- Bad things happen. Good things happen. Things simply happen. And any thing can be amazing.

Whew! I’ll stop here. This list can easily ramble on, but I’ll spare you.

So, considering the preceding list, it should come as no surprise that my music has significantly changed over the past year. I’m excited to share the new material with you, and I hope you enjoy it.

We’ve been working really hard on this for many months, and I think we’ve been able to put together a high-quality, comprehensive, and (most importantly) fun course for you to try out.

The course is packed with tons of awesome diagrams and detailed text – all neatly organized to let you work at your own pace. Plus, I’ve recorded a bunch of video lessons that are specifically designed to help you every step of the way.
