thank y’all SO much for your encouragement in my last post! i WILL be turning these new drawings into digital stamps {digi stamps} that can be used the same way you would use a rubber stamp, except you print it out instead of stamping the image with ink.

oh yeah,

and the card i made with the girl from my last post? it was a hit with aiden’s teacher! yea! :!

that’s how these sweet little girls came about.

i’ve been meaning to get back to my digi stamp idea, but too many other things kept coming up. then today i had to find a way to satisfy my creative urge while staying in the same room with the kiddo to make sure he stayed still and resting (something very difficult for him, even when he’s sick he won’t stay still for long).

after a little facebook drive by on my phone from my spot next to him on the couch, i had my answer.

thankfully our scanner and printer are here in the same room, so i was able to scan and print out my drawing. then i grabbed some colored pencils, sat back down on the couch and went to work.

now to cut her out, grab some of my scrapbooking paper stash, and make a card for my son’s teacher for teacher appreciation week.

i would LOVE to know what y’all think of this drawing! i’m thinking of going more this direction with my digi stamps and i could really use your input!

today’s movie theater field trip day for aiden’s class {we’re going to see chimpanzee} and i’m one of the chaperone’s so i gotta scoot! have a fantabulous friday y’all!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

my new glass tile pendants are all finished! yea! the four large ones on the lower left are $29 each & the smaller 1″ square ones are $19 each. will come with a silver tone ball chain so they will be ready to wear when they arrive.

oh and also, i have listed some new art block prints in the shop. one already sold before i got the chance to post about them here, but i can make another for you….will take 5-7 days before it would be ready to ship. there are three still left that are ready to ship now as of this posting. makes a great mother’s day gift {which will be here before we know it}! oh and you now have the option to pay via credit card through my etsy shop instead of just with paypal.

i’m so excited to be the cover artist for She Magazine again this month (this makes my 3rd cover to date)!!! it’s such a wonderful publication and the editor melia is such a sweetie!! i just went over and checked out the online version (they publish the magazine online each month as well) and they did the most wonderful little write up with my bio. here’s a little peek below (feature appears on page 8 of the magazine), but be sure to go on over and check out the complete magazine in its entirety!

Spending a little time at the park with Aiden and a friend of his from school. We actually had TWO nice sunny days in a row! Had to take advantage of it while we can. The rain is supposed to return tomorrow. I even took the pup for a walk earlier in between painting sessions. Hooray!

I just love it here when its sunny! The sky is just the most spectacular shade of blue!
