We went to to festival in a nearby town with my mother-in-law this weekend and Aiden had lots of fun. He even got his face painted, which for him is big since he never seems to sit still these days for longer than a few seconds. When we were leaving, he kept saying we needed to go on another big trip. We were all pooped (it was almost 100 degrees out that day) and I had to explain to him that we weren't doing more than one big trip per day. He didn't like that too much, but he begrudgingly accepted it. LOL!

Oh and I've been tagged and nominated for several bloggy awards, but I'll have to save that for another day. Lots to do today, so I'd better hop to it. Happy Tuesday y'all! xo

My Granny's still about the same for all those asking. Thanks so much for your sweet comments and your prayers! I really appreciate them soooooo much! I'm doing about the same as well...I was feeling a bit better, but now with this whole computer thing....well it just kinda put me back at square one.

Now I'd better get a movin'....this "quick" little video ended up taking me most of the morning to get up here. Now all I have to do to is clean up in here and find room for it. ha, ha...now that's gonna be a toughie. I'm already kind cramped in here with my computer and my big printer....but I find a way somehow. I just gotta!!! :D

I am so honored that Susan asked me to contribute to this amazing book, which includes some fantastic artists....Karen Michel, Ted Orland, Claudine Hellmuth, Suzanne Simanaitis, Richard Salley, Jonathan Talbot just to name a few. I created an original painting especially for the book along with an in depth step by step article on how I created the painting.

The second is a very cool DVD magazine called Indie Arts. A gallery of some of my work has been featured as a slide show on the upcoming summer issue to be released July 1st. Be sure to go check out this very unique publication. I got my advanced copy last week and it's very cool!!!!

I'm just so tickled to have been asked to contribute to both of these! I would love to do more! Aiden will be stating kindergarten in the fall, so I'll have lots more time in a few months to paint. Right now....painting time is almost non-existent. But its summer time and we're trying to just go with the flow at the moment. There will be plenty of time come fall for getting up early and rushing around to get out the door. And lemme just say, I've never been known for being on time....hence the rushing to get out the door part. ;)  LOL!

It's been a busy week with no time for painting outside of finishing up the painting for my current "All About Faces" online class. We're entering our last week and I'm just amazed at all the fantastic work my students are doing! I'm like a proud Momma! :D And speaking of the faces class, I have room for one more person in my next session of this class that starts on June 30th. So if you wanna grab it, go to the online classes page and send your payment quick! Update: "All About Faces" class is now full

My intention is for it to be a place where artists (both new and experienced) who are Christian and also create any type of mixed media or folk art.......painting, collage, jewelry, or assemblage....to share their work (with or without a Christian theme), encourage, and support each other.

The only requirement is that you be an artist and a Christian. The art you create doesn't have to have a Christian message. I hope to see some of you there. I've made the group by invite only, so you'll have to request to join the group if I haven't already sent you an invite.
