Texas Air Net

Texas Air Net is a small, but growing wireless internet provider in the Dallas, Ft. Worth metropolitan area of Texas. A new online presence was long overdue, in addition to a totally new corporate identity.

Texas Air Net proved to be a fun project that allowed me to expand my creative skills. The logo in particular was very satisfying to see as it took shape. I learned valuable communication skills too. Initial feedback to the early logo design was not favorable, but by the time the project was delivered, the client was thankful for my persistence.

Compositing / Retouching

Compositing is the process of merging separate elements into a single element. This is the essence of design in general. In addition, this album contains examples of retouched images.

Outdoors Club of VT

The Outdoors Club of Virginia Tech is a student organization at Virginia Tech. OCVT sponsors various activities related to the outdoors. During my involvement in some trail maintenance with the club, the President expressed a need for a solid logo design. However, all attempts to contact him with the final logo were futile. I am still waiting to hear back on this one.

Laarhoven Design

Laarhoven Design is an exhibit manufacturer with a full line of exhibit displays. For five years, I served as the sole marketing designer with complete responsibility for the online presence. During this time I was responsible for numerous improvements including a design library, user management, and overall site design changes. Upon my relocating to another state, Laarhoven Design contracted with a design firm to build a custom CMS for the site, which, though not based on web standards, now replaces the old design.

Radford SDA

The Radford SDA church is a small church congregation in Radford Virginia. While attending the church, I recommended an online presence for the local community. All subsequent work was done pro bono. Upon leaving the church, new leadership was selected to revise the site.

NanoChemonics

As a new venture, NanoChemonics gave me a clean slate on which to start. This gave the necessary creative freedom to build a solid identity.

Cucina de Fazio

Cucina de Fazio is the kitchen belonging to my brother-in-law, Sam. While he may never have considered starting a food product line, his excellent culinary abilities warrant at least a logo. Despite the fact that this is a fictional company, the family name is Fazio, and it's quite possible someone was around in 1887 to get things going. It made a nice gift for Sam, at least.

A quick glance at my online photo gallery will demonstrate my affinity towards people. Nature shots are nice, but people draw us in.
