Haihai's back home! Grr.. This modified mini-tail costed me a bomb!

The first time sent him for the stitches + hospitalization & medication costed $616... Now the second time amputation + hospitalization & medication costed $738... Heartpains*

Tis baby lost so much weight.. Feels boney to the touch... Once home, i made food for him and he gobbled it all up! Awww.. Can tell he reli loves the food I prep for him.. Heex..

Lil Haihai's surgery as case study...

Just heard from sis that lil' Haihai's surgery photos being posted as case study on the vet's site...

Gosh...! His tail turned reli reli bad... no wonder it's gone when we visited him the other day. The vet assistant told us that it'd turned gangrene & gotta amputate ASAP before it spreads...

Manz...!! Damn freaking scary rite? Can't imagine this baby gotta bear with that kinda PAIN! Sobs*

Vet wants him with them for 10 days, saying we won't know how to take proper care of his wound... True... anyway I don't wana risk him for another unnecessary surgery again...

Met up with Eileen & Mum at Toa Payoh after leaving KBH's place, to visit Haihai~

We had dinner, then passed by Mini Toons while on the way to take cab. Saw this cute Stitch toy & bought it to accompany him.... must be feeling so alone, deserted and of cos in BIG PAIN...

When we reached the vet's place and Haihai handed over to us, realized his tail is gone!

Didn't expect that as we were told that he have to be on antibiotics even after his fever went down approximately around 7 days, then the operation can be performed, else it'll put Haihai in higher risk of dying during the surgery.

Puzzled* No vets were around at that time. So, i asked the attendant why did they operate on him?

He said the tail was gangrenous and there is risk of spreading, hence they decided amputation quickly. Only then i remembered previous morning there was a missed call on my phone... Linking back, it must be the vet wanting to inform me about their sudden decision...

Met up with "Trendy-Preggy" aka Serene to NEX shopping mall to get baby shower gift for Claudia.. Before getting any work done, "Trendy" complained of thirst... So, we stopped by this stall named Dessert Story. Zzzz... not nice de... hers was too sour & mine too sweet...

He said I'm silly and whether he pampered me too much even thou I'm not even anybody to him... I jus replied: "haha"...

A sudden tot came to my mind.. is jogging better for weight loss in the morning or in the night? Does it even make a difference?

Diligently, I started asking my "best friend"... GOOGLE...

After some reference, it should be.. MORNING! And, all these while, I'm doing it at night! Urgh..!

Hmmm.., if I have to change to morning, it'll mean having to wake early.. but if I tink of it in a better light, maybe it'll help correct my punctuality problem too... pretty worth considering... and if im gonna do it, must sustain for at least 21 days.. cos dats wad googling tells me.. cos it takes at least 21 good days to make an habit!

A friend whom i look upon and respect like an elder sister.. those words she said... during one of the worst period in my life.. never forgotten...

ME TO HER:
In this scenario, imagine i'm participating in this activity... like a game, i'm supposed to complete a task... to fill an empty bucket...

Me standing in Point A with water source. Empty bucket sitting at Point B. I'm blindfolded and not supposed to see the water level of the bucket. Equipped wit a sponge. Yes, a pathetic SPONGE!

I have to absorb the sponge wit water from Point A, hold the filled sponge while traveling to Point B, then squeeze water out from it into the bucket at B. Finally, go back to Point A with the squeeze-dried sponge in hand & repeat the whole process over and over again.

Unable to see the water level, i can only gauge it by the number of trips i'd made... It's the efforts...! Because i'd made so many many trips... i feel it's somewhere there! How can i bear to give it up now? Can you feel how i feel...?

I described the above to her in a pleading manner... to convey how i felt... when she advised me out of my bad situation...

Yet... her calm reply... burst my tears non-stop...

i described wad i did... wanting her to understand the feeling i had... and, her reply made me understand wad i never had...

HER TO ME:

Tis feeling sucks... duno wad the hell im doin... why am i being so nice to tis person who'd never reli put in much effort for me at all..? Well... compared to those previous bla blas... im like so extra patient, forgiving and understanding... at the same time feeling affected by it...!

Flashbacks crossed my mind at times.. different scenarios reminded me of the past... of how those bla blas used to experience... how they might have felt... reli pushed my understanding towards 'the art of appreciation' to greater depth.

I'm tryin to learn from past mistakes, at the same time keeping it at a healthy balance..

If, im overly nice... im being hard on myself...

If, i can b nice and not feel affected, i definitely have to learn, seeing this "thing" lightly...

If, i can see this "thing" lightly, is it even worthy of my efforts & troubles..?!

Dear Lord, help me stick to this diet no matter how much I'm tempted to cheat. Grant me the strength to refuse second helpings, the patience to count calories, and the courage to step on the scale. May the refrigerator contain nothing fattening in the middle of the night when my will is weak and my hunger is strong. And lead me not into the temptation of chocolate. On MC today. Early mornie ard 7am went to polyclinic wit mommy (she haf an appt for check-up) liao. Sore throat & sneezy nose separated me & mom... i haf to see doctor at the outdoor setup of the polyclinic... wear a stupid face guard (exactly like wad i did @ Ting's ROM) that fogs my specs (as i was panting). All thanks to H1N1 fear~

Just restored & upgraded my phone today... with the help of my colleague, get the chance to "taste" the new software 3.0 in advance! Sigh though... even upgraded, oso 'tio' burnt when comparing to the 3GS version. Another colleague is alady pinning & saving to get the 32GB once it hits SG in July. LOL*

Met up with JinCai after work yesterday... an ex-bf of mine like... 14 years back! *faintz*

Poor guy... is still as pessimistic as before... Hair loss... Troubled with his wifey who's suffering from depression & returned to Thailand... Sigh... The main reason why he can come out lah!

We went out for supper at my faved past hangout... Jalan Besar.. LOL* The usual Dim Sum stall that i loved~ Followed by bringing him to 'jalan jalan' @ Mustafa~ Grrr... sadly he's just another racist fella.. complaining abt the smell, etc... Hee.. not everyone knws how to appreciate that place like me... keke...

Nice to see him again after so many years... so many changes... for each of us... Had a long chat & i realised... that i must be having some kinda memory loss sickness! Quite a few things that he'd mentioned, i can't even recall a slight bit lor..!
