RAD PDF supports everything from the latest versions of Chrome and mobile Safari to even Internet Explorer 6! RAD PDF runs on the .NET Framework (3.5 / 4.x) as well as .NET Core, 5, 6, 7, 8. 9, and 10 using Blazor, Razor, MVC, WebForms, and more. Our nuget can be installed on Windows or Linux machines.

This version includes form field calculation improvements, GUI improvements, and more annotation information. Simple PDF form field calculations can now be run server side, allowing for server side changes to be propagated. The object focus outline is now larger, and customizable via CSS. Also, annotation modification dates are viewable in the object properties dialog and as a tooltip in the comments side panel. Additionally, popup annotation connection lines are more intellegent, and now snap to the best corner.

New Comments Side PanelThis update includes a new comments side panel, allowing for all markup annotations on a page to easily be viewed and navigated. Additionally, the document information dialog now displays Creator and Producer information. The object properties dialog now allows annotation opacity to be set. Popup annotation sizing is now better handled when loading annotated PDF files.

New bookmarks can now set their page and view settings directly. Touch devices can now move and delete pre-existing bookmarks, just like previous versions allowed on a desktop device.

This release fixes a number of bugs, including an iOS selection bug.

This release updates the Admin Tool, making the configuration of caching strategies clearer. A new ConvertSignatureFieldsToShapes option allows signature fields to be automatically converted to native signature shapes, which allow the user to click in the GUI and sign via a popup (by typing, drawing, or uploading a signature).

The new OnDocumentPasswordAttempt() callback allows for password attempts in the RAD PDF GUI to be more easily tracked server side.

PDF JavaScript improvements include basic implementations of the "onblur" and "onfocus" field events, adding compatibility for some PDF forms which use these events.

Additionally, this version fixes a number of important bugs, particularly related to how PDF files using dictionaries are loaded into RAD PDF.

This version includes printing improvements. In previous versions, some browsers caused a white page to be added between pages. This handling has been fixed. We've also improved A4 and letter page size recognition. This makes a significant difference when printing from iOS.

Also, this release implements a user-friendly color picker on object property dialogs, allowing for easier color selection. Additionally, the document information dialog now shows the current page size.

This version includes a number of bug fixes, .NET updates, new replaceable resource strings and security upgrades.

Today, Red Software publishes RAD PDF 4.4, its web-based GUI / WebControl for PDF viewing, PDF editing, PDF form filling, PDF redacting, PDF signing and more! RAD PDF works with virtually EVERY .NET Core or .NET Framework web application type including Angular, Blazor, Razor, React, MVC, WebForms, and more, making PDF-webapp integration easier than ever.

Primarily, this version eases setup with the RAD PDF System Service. By default, impersonation is now only used when making database calls to SQL Server, allowing for less overhead when rendering and using Lite Documents. (The Admin Tool can be used to always use impersonation for customers who wish to continue using the old behavior.)

Additionally, this release adds day of week formatting to date/text form fields, improves rendering, and exposes the CreationDate and ModifiedDate properties.

Add Date Fields Using RAD PDFThis update includes support for "date" form fields and "image" form fields. Both extensions of the built in PDF form specification, these fields use JavaScript actions / formatting to allow date picking and image upload, respectively. RAD PDF can now create (via API or the GUI) and modify so-called "date" form fields, even applying custom date formats. Additionally, "image" form fields now can be added (via API or the GUI) and support uploading select image formats (BMP, GIF, JPG, and PNG).

This release fixes a number of bugs, primarily related to importing TIFF images.
