I just love watching movies. I used to go to the movie theater a lot before the economy went so bad. But since we gotCableTVAdvisor, we have a lot more movies available to watch at home on our own television. Now at my house you almost feel like you are in a movie theater because a few years back my husband bought the most humongous television you have ever seen. We have it in our den, but it takes up most of the room. Well, not really, but it does seem that way. The other day one of my favorite movies, The Client, came on. I recorded it because I wasn’t sure I could stay awake for the whole thing and then I could watch the rest of it on another day. I always get a kick out of watching movies that involve attorneys and their clients. That is probably because I have a law degree, and in my first life, before I had children, I worked in a law office. Back then I got to see firsthand a lot of legal battles going on every day. Maybe, since my children are grown, I should get back into the legal business. But then, that would leave a lot less time to watch all the movies that I have grown so fond of.

Scope Me Baby! Review

Are you ready for this?!? Scope Me Baby onesies!! Oh my gosh CUTENESS overload!!! SEE??? Alice was so excited to see her "Scope Me Baby" package arrive!!

We love the packaging!! All the way down to a cute yellow bow! Inside the little holder is a full horoscope for baby. Along with a list of famous Gemini's. This is a definite baby book addition!! Course it would be super cute framed on the wall too.

This t-shirt is SOFT!! BABY Alice SOFT!! This onesie stayed soft even after washing. The graphics didn't fade or distort in anyway after washing and drying. I love love love this onesie!! I think this will be the standard 'BabyShower' gift that Alice and I give from now on!!

The Scope Me Baby onesie material is a high quality cotton/poly blend to ensure a super soft & comfy fit! The onesies are also gender neutral!

I know... it's basically the same shot of the Gemini onesie for 3 shots... but Alice in her Gemini baby is so stinkin' cute I couldn't decide which one to delete so... you just have to smile at all three.

iMo Camera Strap Review

(Spoiler alert! There is a 30% off code for your own strap hidden in this post!!) Some of you know that DH bought me a fancy new Nikon camera which takes AAAAAAAAAAmazing pictures!! (DH dun GOOOD!). The only thing that was boring about my new camera was the strap. (Like how I just snuck that 'WAS' in there?? I'm smart like that!)

The hardest part of this review? Deciding which strap I wanted!! The selection is that great!!

The strap doesn't just look great! It's got great functionality too! Since I've had my Nikon there are times I wish I didn't have the strap on. The strap has a quick release!! The part of the strap that is attached to the camera STAYS ON THE CAMERA!!! Brilliant!! And easily my favorite part of the strap!
The webbing is 1/2 inch which is very sturdy. With an expensive camera you don't want a flimsy strap! NO!! No... just the thought gives me goose bumps.

Brainy Baby's First Ball review

When I took the Brainy Baby's First Ball out of the box I thought to myself "Well, that's weird looking". On the other hand Baby Alice's little face LIT UP!!!!!!
We are going to start with Baby Alice's take on Brainy Baby's First Ball:
It's a beautiful black and white. Shiny! Squishy! I can grasp it so easily! In either hand!

It's so pretty!!

Look! I can place it on my thumb!

I can chew on it.

(Baby's First Ball came a the perfect time!! Alice has her 2 bottom teeth and the top 2 are starting to come in and the Baby's First Ball help her work those gum! She loves to chew on this ball!)

I can hold it with my FEET!!

I can throw IT!! The ball is soft and bounces REALLY WELL!! Once I realized it bounced... Nonnie spent most of the time chasing the ball. (That was fun! NOT!! for Nonnie anyway)

I hate to admit it but I've always been a sun worshiper. What can I say....... I always wanted to be tan!! For as long as I can remember! In my teens I did the baby oil and iodine! YUP!! Baby Oil then laid out and baked to a nice toasty bronze. Sure I heard ... you'll regret it when you are older. But 30 and 40 and 50 was soooooooooooo soooooooooooo far away I didn't care!!! Ummm note to younger self... you shoulda cared!

Now?? Ohhhhh yea.... those past sins have come back to haunt me BIG time!! Age spots, lines and wrinkles. UGH!!!! I think it's the age spots that make me the saddest! So, I am always on the look out for the 'next greatest' thing on the market. You name it... I tried. Informercials are my weakness!

Bright Starts Taggie Review

Baby Alice and I are HUGE fans of Bright Starts! Not only are their products affordably priced but they are wonderfully made! When Alice and I were offered the chance to review the new super soft, super cuddly Taggie blanket we couldn't wait to get started!!

First thing we did was inspect the Taggie from all sides!

The taggie is softer than any baby blanket I've ever felt! (That's saying a lot when you have a baby!!)

The Taggie measures 12" x 12" (not including the taggies) So it's perfect for little hands! It's perfect to grab and throw in your bag or for Alice to hold in the carseat.

The taggie is exceptionally well stitched all the way around. I've washed the blanket twice already and it's still as soft as it was the day it arrived, with no loose seams anywhere! No loose taggies. The colors didn't fade.

The colors are perfect! Soft muted yellows, blues, purples, pinks and greens.

The tags themselves are sooooo cute!! Little dogs, ducks, circus animals, lions and solid colors. The tags are all silk and satin, so they are as soft as the Taggie itself!! Alice will sit and feel the tags for longest time!

Bright Starts workmanship is amazing! The toys, blankets and Taggies hold up so well!!! You can't go wrong with Bright Starts!

Here is a picture of the new Taggie on the right and the Cuddle and Sooth blanket teether on the left with the Lots-of-Petals teether we named Daisy! All of these have been washed repeatedly! The blanket teether and Daisy have been washed at least once a week! Sometimes more! There isn't a seam that is loose or a crinkle that doesn't crinkle! Everthing on all 3 pieces is still perfect!! I canNOT say that about several other toys we have!!

Potty Time Review

Potty training..... NOT the most fun job. Okay really..... the word fun doesn't even belong anywhere near the words potty and training! NO!! Potty training is hard work!! It's tiring and frustrating. And the kids don't like it either!!

But, if it could be fun it would start with this DVD! Potty Time

Seriously! I enjoy this dvd and I've watched it about 20 times already and I'm STILL singing along with Rachel Coleman each time we play this dvd.

Some of my favorite parts of Potty Time # 1. obviously is Rachel Coleman she does singing and signing. She is amazing... amazing... my body is amazing... amazing... (sorry it's one of the songs on the dvd Potty Time and it's such a catchy tune I find myself singing it in my head!!) # 2 The dvd is engaging! Eli is 23 months and his attention is still engaged and focused, we've watched this dvd at least 20 times. (probably more!) Eli is still smiles and sits riveted to the tv.

# 3 The message is so perfect for potty training! Reinforcing "listen to your body", "stop what you are doing and go to the bathroom". The dvd even goes into accidents in such a great way that your child won't be stressed or embarrassed!

This dvd has cartoon characters, real children, super cute songs and great music!!

#4 Signing! I am a huge fan of signing for babies and toddlers. I think it's a great way to help keep babies and toddlers less frustrated! Potty Time teaches many helpful signs for potty training.

#5 Celebrating your success!!

This video if a FUN way to introduce potty training to your toddler. Potty Time is designed for 1 to 5 year olds.

Eli and I highly recommend this video. I really can't begin to tell you how much I love this dvd! NOT that I plan to make baby Alice start potty training at 8 months.... but.... she sure smiles a lot watching this dvd!! And bounces to the music. (8 months is too young... right?? I mean.... what if I just ....... okay OKAY.... never mind.... 9 months... I'll wait till she is 9 months!) kidding! honest!! 10 months for sure!

My Memories Scrapbook Review & Giveaway!!

I love to scrapbook. I LOVE it!! LOVE it!! ~~Could~~ DO go insane with stickers and papers and embelishments. BY the BOX full...... and that's where they all are right now.... still in the packages... still in the box.... and the pictures?? Still on my zipdrive. Yup... I have tons of pictures at my fingertips but hardly anything in an album. I just hate dragging everything out working for awhile then having to shelp it all back to the craft room. It's a pain in the tushie! Re-sorting... where did I leave off...not to mention the overall mess!!

BUT!!! Not any more!!! Ohhhhhh you're gonna want this!!! My Memories Suite is sooooo coool!!!!!!!!!!

So now, when I have a few minutes when the babies are napping I can quickly pull up my new My Memories digital software and in a matter of minutes I have paper, pictures, embelishments, text.... at my fingertips and ready to go! Not only can I have my pages or total scrapbook printed professionally I can print it myself.

I can make a dvd. I can send it to my ipod!! I can make a super cute movie!!

I can be creative on my own time withOUT the mess!! Without the hassels!!!!! This program is super easy to use. I can move everything! I can bring items forward, I can turn them, resize them. I can frame the pictures, add a shadow! I can change the color and texture of the 'paper'.

I just pasted that first page and after looking at it for a few minutes I decided Iwasn't quite happy with that one... soooo less than 5 minutes later... revised page and I like this one!

OMG! LOOK at how cute those babies are!!!!!

I am in love with my new digital scrapbooking software!!!!! So easy! So many CHOICES!!!!!!

Glass Waterbottle Review

I have a TON of water bottles, plastic, metal.... cartoon.... fancy from that coffee shop. After several uses they have either cracked or stained. Or worse just have that after taste!! No matter how many times I wash it has an aftertaste! EWWWWW!!!
I was offered a chance to review a Glass Waterbottle by Reusit. My first thought was COOL!!! I'm a sucker for a new water bottle just ask DH!!
My next thought was glass?? Really?? ME?? But, this glass bottle is covered with a silicone sleeve. Which # 1 looks COOL!! # 2 protects the bottle if when you drop it. Yes, I've already dropped it. No it didn't crack, break or chip!
I love that the bottle has wide mouth, that made it super easy to clean! AND SUPER easy to add ice!!!! That right there is a huge selling point for me!!! No more trying to get ice into those little bottle openings!

The bottle has a great shape to it. It fits in my hand really well.

The lid unscrews easily. There is a convenient handle on the top as well. It's weird to drink from a jar type lid..... but it's like drinking from a mason jar which is very retro-chic ya know!!
I give this bottle 2 thumbs up! It's so nice to have a drink with no aftertaste!! EVERY SINGLE TIME you use it!! There are no other bottles that I've tried that can boast that!

Super fun and super easy!! This ebook is 134 pages of easy to follow directions, hints and even a chapter of 'don't make these mistakes!'
This ebook is so easy to follow. I had so much fun! Lisa provides you with a shopping list of exactly what you need to make some great smelling and long lasting soap!
I love that she doesn't just show you ONE kind of soap, there are instructions to even make baby soap! So many great idea's!!

I opted to make a mix of 2 different kinds of soap. I picked up a tiny pan at the Goodwill for my melting pot. I used the bottom of a washed out plastic milk container for my first soap. While I was feeding baby Alice lunch it dawned on me I could make small soaps for the kids using the plastic baby food containers!!

I have to tell you my soap smells PERFECT!!! AND why shouldn't it!! I am the one that added the scent! I did the additives! I had so much fun!! I could see how this could be addicting! I want to play with more colors, scents and additives. I used Avocado oil (Lisa recommends Avocado for dry skin). I am so proud of my first soaps!! It kind of looks like a pretty pink quartz rock.

Lisa's "The Joy of Melt and Pour Soaps" is AWESOME!!! Now that I've done a practice batch I'm ready to try some soap for the kids. Who knew making soap could be addictive?!?!
Lisa's book is easy to use. Lots of detailed instructions. Lots of pictures. A great list of places to look to for your supplies. Lisa even has a chapter on helping you to sell your soaps!! WOW!!
I give Lisa's book an whole hearted A++++++++++!!!

Elfishki and the Giant Cake Review

Seriously, this review should be called FIGHT!! FIGHT!!! FIGHT!!! I kid you NOT no matter how many times Emma and Eli have played 'Elfishki and the Giant Cake' there is a fight! EVERY SINGLE time!! THAT is a great interactive app for iPad!! (wait... wha???????? They fight and that's a good app?? YES!! Emma and Eli can NOT get enough of this app!! Which means you could get some quiet time.... maybe.

Both kids zero right in on 'Elfishki and the Giant Cake' app, trust me they have a LOT of apps to choose from on the iPad! But this one is the favorite!

"Giant Cake" is an app that has both a game and a story inside. You choose to either read the story yourself, or have it read to you. The graphics are incredible. The game itself is our favorite part of the app. When you create a cake there is a camera icon that lets you capture the image. Once you have taken a picture of your cake it gives you options to add a message (ie, "Happy Birthday," and "Have a Nice Day"), you can then chose to either save it, or send it to a friend via email. All the links are provided. Sucha GREAT GREAT APP!!!

Emma is 3 and Eli is almost 2. This interacive app received 4 thumbs up!!!
