be raffled will be available for your viewing. Brunch is $25.00 per person or
$30.00 per person at the door. Under 14 years of age will be $12.00 and

James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. Participants and volunteers will gather to make and personalize blankets and cards and later have the opportunity to deliver these items to the patients at their bedside.

Aside from the blankets pragmatic purpose in helping patients stay warm, perhaps the blankets greatest importance will be as a treasured memento. Our hope is that these blankets will provide the patients with comfort and strength during moments of hardship and will ultimately be an item that they can cherish for the rest of their lives.

The March 1 evening event will feature presenters on the topic of colorectal cancer as well as screening and support group information. The LeVeque Tower in downtown Columbus visible from the event location will be lighted blue to recognize the month of March as National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.

The event will be held Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 5:30-7:30pm at The River Club at Confluence Park, 679 W. Spring St, Columbus, Ohio 43215.

The evening program will be an opportunity to remember those lost to colorectal cancer, to provide hope and support for those battling colorectal cancer, and to raise awareness of colorectal cancer screening opportunities and ongoing research.

The evening will begin at 5:30pm with hors d’ oeuvres and information tables. A short speaking program will begin at 6:15pm.

The cost is $15 per person and includes a variety of hors d’ oeuvres and choice of soda or juice. A cash bar will be available. Proceeds help raise awareness of colorectal cancer, screening opportunities and support groups.

The Peggy Bock Memorial Race for Hope has been held each year since 2004 in remembrance of Peggy Bock, a victim of colorectal cancer.

The mission of The Peggy Bock Memorial Race for Hope is:

- To inform the public that colorectal cancer is the number two cause of cancer deaths in the United States, and if caught early has a 90% survival rate

- To promote opportunities for colorectal cancer screening

-To raise funds to support colorectal cancer research
