Penn Medicine outpatient practices plan to operate as usual on Monday, but patients are encouraged to call ahead to their physicians for any schedule changes.

As the region recovers from the storm, routine operations continue at all hospitals in the University of Pennsylvania Health System -- the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, Penn Medicine at Rittenhouse, Lancaster General Health and Chester County Hospital.

Out of concern for your safety during this snow emergency, please delay visiting your friends and family members who are hospitalized until conditions improve.

Scheduled patient discharges are being expedited throughout the weekend so patients and their loved ones can avoid travel during inclement weather. Hospital deliveries, including medical supplies, linens, food, drugs and other supplies, were scheduled earlier to guarantee adequate supplies throughout the storm. In addition, we are making arrangements to ensure adequate personnel are in place at the hospitals if staff are unable to travel to and from work.
