<p>Out of concern for your safety during this snow emergency, please delay visiting your friends and family members who are hospitalized until conditions improve.</p>
<p>Penn Medicine thanks our patients and dedicated employees for their cooperation as we continue to care for patients and prepare for the week ahead.</p>
<p>Please check back for additional updates as we work to resume normal operations at all of our outpatient practices.</p></div>

Hospital officials are closely watching as the winter storm approaches and making plans to ensure smooth and continuous operations and full staffing for all hospitals in the University of Pennsylvania Health System: the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, Penn Medicine at Rittenhouse, Lancaster General Health and Chester County Hospital.</p>
<p>S<span class="text_exposed_show">cheduled patient discharges are being expedited throughout the weekend so patients and their loved ones can avoid travel during inclement weather. Hospital deliveries, including medical supplies, linens, food, drugs and other supplies, were scheduled earlier to guarantee adequate supplies throughout the storm. In addition, we are making arrangements to ensure adequate personnel are in place at the hospitals if staff are unable to travel to and from work.</span></p>

<p>Patients should remember to fill any prescriptions they may need over the weekend.</p>
<p>Penn Medicine outpatient practices, with the exception of PennCare for Kids, plan to be closed on Saturday. Please contact your physician&#39;s office if you are scheduled for a Saturday appointment.</p>
