Hey guys, it’s been a while since I wrote anything and I figure now is the best time to do so.

I just received word of a new penny auction analytic tool for penny auction Bidrivals. My history with Bidrivals is good and I’ve managed to win some auctions there in the past, however it started to become harder and harder to win. Growth in users is probably what put an end to my early raid :) I don’t know, it just seems like they had an explosion in their user base, and with so much competition it became almost impossible to win anything. It pretty much turned into an ants on a donut situation.

I gotta tell you if Bidrivals Buddy is anything like Swoopo Analytics, then I have no doubt I’ll be dominating the competition in no time. Judging the tool at start up, so far it looks much better than its predecessor.

Seeing how I just signed up I feel that it’s to early for a full Bidrivals review, however rest assured I’ll post another update as soon as I get more feedback from using it.

There has been a number of sites reporting that Penny Auction Watch ( the popular penny auction watchdog site) is owned by a number of operating penny auctions. I can’t confirm if this is truth or just puffery, however even if it was true, who cares? How is them owning a few penny auction sites supposed to be dangerous to me or any other bidder out there? It’s not.

If they do own a penny auction site, why would they advertise a bunch of other penny auctions which may be their competition?. For the most part I think it’s a pretty awesome website, where I, along with a bunch of others I know go to get their news and reviews.

What are your thoughts?

I just read that Swoopo Entertainment Company purchased penny auction OohiLove for an unreported sum. This really comes as no surprise to me, considering how Swoopo started seeing some hot competition from Beezid, Bidcactus, and a number of other new sites, something had to be done.

Are there other penny auction sites on Swoopo’s radar?

Since Swoopo’s operations are spread evenly around the globe, they do have the finances to make more purchases. If I were them t I would probably aim to purchase either Quibids or Beezid since both have a huge market share and a very loyal following, especially when looking at their very active facebook pages.

I’m sure the amount they acquired OoohiLove isn’t even close to the amount reported AT&T is willing to pay for T-Mobile ($39 billion), but I am very curious to know. So if you know anything in regards to the purchase price, please don’t hesitate to email me.

Earlier this week, major penny auction Swoopo has been down due to technical issues and are working hard to restore the service. Once service is restored, Swoopo will add 10 minutes to all auctions that were live during this major technical mishap.

After witnessing this site go down, I began to think about what I would be doing if all the major penny auction sites begin to have technical issues, after all this is a legitimate concern, especially if you make a living winning products and reselling them on ebay or craigslist. I’m sure this is a minor set back, and they’ll be back up and running probably stronger than ever but I have to voice my concern.

In addition, I believe other major sites such as Beezid and Bidcactus have seen a strong influx of Swoopo users this week. I don’t have proof of their increase in business and can only speak for myself when I say that 7 auctions that were supposed to be swoopo bound have found other homes at Beezid and Quibids.

I hope this downtime doesn’t hurt their recent EAA membership (Entertainment Auction Association). But if it has, there are a number of other legitimate auctions that would be more than happy to take their lucrative position.

Lately I’ve been getting a number of facebook advertisements for a brand new penny auction named Stickybids. They were supposed to launch March 1st, but since then have had a very minimal number of auctions posted on their site. I’ve contacted the administrators and still have not heard back.

Has anyone had any luck using this site? I’m hoping to get in early to expand my game but not getting a reply from the Stickybids crew is making me question their legitimacy.
