Home ….. what a sweet sweet word. Or is it? It should be. It should be a sweet place, a stable place, a safe place.

The older I get the more I see what a wicked place this world has become. There is no peace because most folks don’t know peace. It seems wherever we go is a mission field. We are bombarded by bad news, crime and wickedness on every corner. Bad news in other parts of the world, bad news in the schools, bad news in the political realm, and from what I hear bad news everywhere. The more technology advances the more opportunities to hear bad news. And yet the Good News is still the Good News but it seems so often stifled by bad news.

Our homes need to be a safe place for our families to run to, ….. more here

Let [...]]]> I was recently given this incredible new worship cd as a download to review and I am very much enjoying it. As I have shared with y’all several times over the last year I have been working out every morning on the treadmill and I love to start my workout with worship music. Let me tell you, the presence of God is better than chocolate! And having His presence with you while you workout is the best way to start any day.

We grew up in Southern California so the Vineyard is not new to us, in fact hubby was joining their services when they met as a small group. We watched as they put up a huge tent on their property and met there while the church construction began. That was all about the same time as the Jesus people movement and that was an incredible time in So Cal. The Vineyard has gone through some growing pains but hey growing is something we are all called to do. Many church movements fizzle out before  they grow up.  Anyway I love their worship music. And this newest is certainly not disappointing. I think my favorite is track 4, and I can’t wait to hear my worship leader daughter sing it. Hint hint ;) .

About ‘I Love Your Presence’:

“I Love Your Presence”  was recorded live at the Burn Bright: Worship and The Kingdom Of God conference, hosted by Vineyard Worship. Several hundred worship leaders and worshippers gathered in the Arizona desert to explore the nature of God’s kingdom through music and teaching with some of the Vineyard’s most gifted communicators and musicians. This inspiring collection of songs recorded live at the The Vineyard Church North Phoenix will immerse listeners in the powerful worship that was the highlight of the event. “I Love Your Presence”  reminds us to not just think of worship as singing songs, but also laying down our lives for Him.
