Blessings for Obedience

¹ If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. ² All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God:

³ You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.

⁴ The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

⁵ Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.

⁶ You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.

⁷ The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

⁸ The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.

⁹ The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in obedience to him. ¹⁰ Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you. ¹¹ The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.

Around here folks are hunting turkeys. Good thing for these big boys in my pasture I only shoot turkeys with a camera. Have you ever noticed that hunting seasons coincide with mating seasons? There is a reason for that. The big males are easy to spot in mating seasons. Why? Because they are so focused on showing off that they don’t see danger. That should be a lesson for all of us. Why does pride come before a a fall?  Because when we are self focused we are a target for the enemy. Pride draws attention to us instead of drawing attention to the Lord. The life of the believer should always draw attention to Him, the King of Kings, creator of the universe.

I LOVE THIS STUFF , actually Kathleen is offering it in the Citrus scent or the Cinnamon. It is hard to choose, but I think I like the Citrus. It truly does put you in a happier mood! I like to barely spray my clothes (from a distance) as I take them out of the closet, seems like everything smells musty this time of year and it solves that problem and makes my clothes smell fresh and puts a smile on my face. I also especially love it on my skin, feels wonderful. I put one in my purse to take everywhere with me.

A few weeks ago I got the most wonderful gift in the mail from my dear friend Kathleen Gilmore. Something from her new home business Kit Naturals. It was some of her Orange Silk Cream, I agreed to try it out and give her my opinion. now Kathleen has known me for awhile so she knew I only tell the truth and never hype things up. However I do get excited about stuff that is really good. Well let me tell you, this stuff is good. In fact it is better than good. I can’t decide if I like the smell or feel of it better. I truly wish I could create a “smell button” to let you smell this online. In the winter especially I tend to get really dry skin. Especially my hands. The first time I applied the cream I thought, hmm, nice but might be a little oily feeling, to be honest I probably used too much because it felt so good, but either way after about a minute it was all absorbed anyway. It felt really, really good and there was no left over oily feeling. And it has really helped where I had dry skin. I had to nearly arm wrestle it away from daughters, ha ha, but Momma always wins! Kathleen my dear you have done well! The only way she could possibly make this better is to sell it in gallon sized jugs! But since no one really ever needs to use that much I will just learn a little self control. I honestly can not say I have ever found a cream I like better. Since I used to own high end beauty salons in California that is my educated opinion. I pray that the Lord blesses Kit Naturals, and the Gilmore family abundantly! I might also add that their website is absolutely beautiful!

Now in addition to my trying it out, I also get to give away a jar of cream!!! Yay!!!

Mule Day is one of the biggest events in our county, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors. For the most part it is pretty fun. I will parade pics for you after Saturday .

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.

In between selling barnwood furniture, and going to amishville to buy horse shoes to get ready for the upcoming Mule Day parade, and just enjoying this beautiful TN weather I am studying the grand world of Kindle Publishing and working from my favorite home office, my front porch . Spring has exploded here in the South and it is beautiful. We are way ahead of schedule and things are now blooming about 3-4 weeks earlier than usual. It has been an incredibly busy day, week, month, no, year so far and the rest of it looks to be busier. So sometimes it is good to just escape and sit on the front porch for a bit. It is quiet and peaceful at the moment, I can smell the freshly cut grass and hear the worship music playing inside. It is a lovely day to contemplate life.

Hubby prayed with a man in jail recently who is in a tough spot. Worse than being between a rock and a hard place. Torn by circumstances. Innocent and yet paying the price for another in order to protect his family. Laying his life down for a friend, actually family members. Knowing that Jesus is his only answer yet not even seeing how the creator of the universe can rescue him. As I pray for this man I contemplate all the needs, a friend with a dying child, another friend who recently lost a loved one, a widow I know who is so heartbroken she has fallen into a lifestyle of sin. I am contemplating all the rejoicing in my household with 2 daughters becoming engaged in the past week, and yet mourning for a son who has lost his way and is not here rejoicing with us. How does it all fit? It doesn’t this side of Heaven. It only fits in His grand scheme of things. It only fits when our focus is on Him. And even in that, half of the time we cannot possibly understand how He can fix it. But He can, and most often only He can. That is where our peace comes from, seeing that, recognizing it in the mist of contemplating, surrendering it all, daily.

praying for you my dear friends that Jesus is your peace, daily.
