He has taken me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me is love.

Song of Solomon 2:3-3

This is the scripture that cam to mind while working on this picture, actually it was the song that has this scripture in it. To me an empty table, even one this pretty, looks lonely. It should have folks around it. And when it is the Lord’s table or hall, or eating place it should never be empty. And I don’t mean like a church hall. I mean rather a Spiritual Banqueting Hall. A place, where we meet Him. Here He uses the words banquet hall as a symbol of us dining with Him. Fellowshipping with Him. Meeting with Him. Have you ever had a great meal with friends and then just st around the table talking? Just visiting, spending time together? That is what He desires with us. His love for us is so much more than we can ever realize. But we will get to know it, by just being with Him.
So, have a seat, and a cup of tea, and just visit with Jesus. I promise you will walk away full and satisfied.
Thank you Lord for meeting with us.

I just love go getters!

I love when I teach someone something and in no time they do it better than me. Some folks don’t like that but I love it. I feel like I got to play a small part in a bigger plan of God. I don’t at all understand why folks compete with one another. we are each given certain gifts and talents from the Lord and we should encourage one another in them not try to beat each other out. There is one word for that behavior, pride. And pride is something that disgusts God. I must say I agree with him on that, honestly I agree with Him on everything, because well He is God and He wrote the book. But back to pride, it is truly ugly. We just don’t play that game around here. Not too long back a young man came over here and wanted to arm wrestle my hubby. Well hubby is 45 now but can still give these young guys a run for their money. He used to be a competitive bodybuilder so I guess that makes them think they are somebody if they can beat him. Well you know what? He got tired of the game and the last young man that tried to beat him did, hubby let him. Ha ha , laugh is on him. He got beat in the long run.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I love when I teach someone something and they take farther yet still stay humble. My daughters do that all the time, I teach them a recipe and they not only get it, but they improve upon it. I teach them a skill and they perfect it. That should bring us joy. It has always been my prayer that my children out-exel me in every skill and every God gifting and talent I have. And I think it is happening .

Tuesday- yummy homemade creamy tomato soup and cheesy breadsticks

Wednesday- chili rellenos

Thursday- chicken and dumplins

Friday – stuffed peppers

Saturday – stuffed quesadillas

Sunday – we have gotten into this routine of a family picnic after church, I am really liking it!

pure joy

This is my Georgia and her newest horse. She has always wanted an Arabian stallion. This one was wild, and completely unbroke but absolutely beautiful and nearly fell into her lap. Problem is that he is young and very excited about life. And mares. And there is plenty here to get happy about. So even though he is willing and loveable he is everywhere at once. He isn’t ornery or mean or purposely difficult but he is completely unfocused. But if there is anything Georgia is, she is an overcomer. She sees a challenge and goes to it. She is not afraid of a trial. She got this way by not running away from the trials in life. She is a girl of prayer and a girl of faith. I admire her .

How’s that for wordless and Word-Filled?

this is one of my favorite parts of my blogging week, it keeps me focused, I havae tons done already today, so this is like my break

Outside my Window … clear, sunny, beautiful, again I am enjoying this time of year

I am thinking … that things in life that are worth having require lots of attention

I am thankful for… my new grandbaby, whom I love already though she/he isn’t arriving until April

From the kitchen … between meals, quiet at the moment

From the learning rooms … spelling is getting better

I am wearing … t shirt and capris, again

I am reading … God’s word

I am hoping … to get more done today, am off to a good start

I am hearing … birds chirping and horses whinnying

I am creating … always something new for my bookstore , lots of new ebooks lately

Around the house … everybody has a job

One of my favorite things … my home
