Canada Day Airshow

It was a hot day, and we had company from out of town for the Canada Day long-weekend. So we hit the beach on Okanagan lake. (one of the two lakes we have) to soak up the sun.

We were surpised to see a short airshow. It wonderful to watch them flying so close to the water. It was Such a nice surprise.

Canada Day Fireworks 2006

We were treated to the 'ooohs and ahhs' of the Canada Day Fireworks. This was the first time I'd seen them after living here for 3 years. At my old apartment there was a massive tree in the way, but in our new place the upper patio gives a fantastic view.

Pacific Northwest Elvis Festival

Each year, for the past five years, Penticton, British Columbia, Canada has been the home of the Pacific Northwest Elvis Festival - a three day extravaganza of Elvis impersonation.

During the festival, it's all Elvis all the time. You can find many versions of him wandering the mall, singing in parks and restaurants, or washing his duds at the local laundromat.

Sadly, we were unable to spend much time enjoying the music. Devlon hates it. A quick run through is all he was able to manage this year.
