Stagwell Media Platform Taps Sil To Lead Product Development

Omnicom and WPP veteran Dru Sil has been appointed to the new post of Global Product Managing Director at Stagwell Media Platform.

SMP is a centralized hub of global media, technology, and data specialists who design products to optimize media trading, forecasting, and investment. The platform unites talent and resources across all Stagwell agencies globally.

He reports to Matt Adams, Global CEO of Stagwell Media Platform (SMP) and will lead the development of SMP’s product suite and oversee global media activation as well as product development and integration across Stagwell.

Sil brings more than 15 years of commerce and product experience across startups and global agency networks. Most recently, he served as executive director-Omni Platform Product Strategy at Omnicom and before that was executive director product strategy at Annalect, the unit that oversaw the development of the Omnicom marketing platform Omni and other assets.

Before joining Annalect in 2022, Sil was managing director-commerce analytics at WPP media agency Mindshare.

The Variable Names Williams Chief Growth Officer

Independent agency The Variable today announced the appointment of Courtney Williams as Chief Growth Officer and Partner.

Williams joins from The Martin Agency, where she most recently served as vice president--head of business development. Earlier she served at 22Squared and BBDO Atlanta.

Over the past year, The Variable has been busy expanding its integrated media, strategy, AI, and creative capabilities under the leadership of CEO Courtney Lewis and President and Chief Creative Officer Matthew Cook who were appointed to their roles last July.

Havas Chicago has appointed Lou Amodeo senior vice president--head of growth, to spearhead new business development and accelerate growth, which the agency says has been “unprecedented” over the past 18 months, including 30% organic growth and 80% conversion of new business pitches in the last 18 months.

He succeeds Christyn Lovelace, who left to join Eastport Holdings.

Reporting to President Kat Ott, Amodeo joins forces with Chief Creative Officer Frank Dattalo and Chief Strategy Officer Chase Cornett, both of whom joined Havas Chicago in the past 18 months.

During that time the agency has won new clients like Stanley Steemer, Wayfair, Citi Bank, and Bel Brands. Together they crafted the agency’s “High-Low” model—“Think like a brand and act like an influencer”—blending strategic depth with creator agility for culturally relevant work.
