Para el año entrante, Magí y yo hemos decidido que queremos hacer llegar Escucha español a más gente todavía, y hemos elegido al público de habla inglesa. Con esto tendremos cubiertos los tres idiomas en los que se escribe este vuestro blog, y espero que los numerosos lectores angloparlantes nos deis vuestro apoyo.

平成24年の目標として、マジと一緒に考えたのは聞くスペイン語の対象をもっと広まりたいということです。選んだのは英語圏です。これで本サイトが書いてある3つの言語をカバーできます。このブログの多くの英語母国語の方、そちらの方でもよろしくお願いします。

For 2012, Magí and I have decided that we want to make Escucha español available to even more people. We have chosen the English speaking community, so we will cover all three languages this blog is written in. I hope this blog’s many readers will support our new project.

このブログを何年か読まれているなら知っているでしょう：たまに新しいカードを試すのにマジック：ザ・ギャザリングのイベントに行くのが好き。自分のデッキは持っていないからリミテッドという大会にしか参加出来ない。そういうイベントでは新しく買ったブースターパックの中身だけで遊ぶことになっていて、意外な組み合わせが出て来たりして面白い。24日の土曜日は、30日に発売されるイニストラードのプレリリースに行って来た。新しいカードで遊ぶ最初のチャンスだった！

If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you probably know I like playing Magic: The Gathering every now and then to try the new cards. I don’t have my own deck, so I only attend “limited” events where everyone gets to use cards from a newly opened limited pool. It’s a lot of fun to make a deck with some cards you’d never use in other conditions. And last Saturday 24th I attended the prerelease event for Innistrad, the new set that will be for sale on September 30th. It was the first chance to play with the new cards!

En esta colección hay cartas sin dorso, que tienen información por los dos lados. Se trata de criaturas que se transforman, acto que se representa dando la vuelta a la carta. Parece que la idea viene de Duel Masters, otro juego de cartas hecho por la misma empresa que el Magic pero que curiosamente solo se vende en Japón. La foto de aquí arriba (Alcalde de Avabruck / Alfa de la jauría aullante) es una carta especial que regalaban a todos los participantes, pero no se podía usar durante la competición. Como este Alcalde, la mayoría de las cartas de dos caras son hombres lobo. Y viendo las cartas que me habían salido en mis seis sobres de Innistrad (la primera competición era mazo sellado) decidí precisamente probar los hombres lobo, usando los colores verde y rojo. Me pareció curioso que, aunque tenía un par de cartas verdes que apoyan específicamente a los hombres lobo (Niebla lunar y Ascenso de la luna llena), la carta que más me ayudó fue una tierra: Municipio de Gavony.

このセットには両面カードというのがあって、ひっくり返すことでクリーチャーが変身することを表現する。このアイデアは、同じ会社が作っているデュエルマスターズというゲームから来たらしい。珍しいのは、デュエルマスターズは日本でしか販売されなくなったこと。この上の写真はアヴァブルックの町長／吠え群れの頭目、参加者がみんなもらった特別なカード（イベント中は使っていけなかったけど）。両面カードはほとんど「町長」みたいに狼男だ。僕の6パックの中身を見て（シールドというリミテッドの種類でした）赤緑の狼男デッキにしようと思った。面白かったのは、昇る満月や月霧みたいな狼男を補助するスペルを何枚か持っていたのに、結局一番役に立ったのは土地のガヴォニーの居住区だった。

In this set there are double-faced cards, which have no regular card back. They are creatures which can transform, an ability expressed in the game by flipping the card. It looks like the idea comes from Duel Masters, another game from the same company making Magic, only it’s currently only for sale in Japan. The picture above (Mayor of Avabruck / Howlpack Alpha) is a special card everyone attending the event got, only you didn’t get to use in in your deck for the competition. Like the Mayor, most double-faced cards are werewolves. And seeing the cards I got from my six Innistrad boosters, I decided to go with a green and red werewolf deck. I found it curious that, while I had some werewolf supporting cards like Moonmist and Full Moon’s Rise, the card that helped me most with them was a land: Gavony Township.

Después de perder dos de las rondas del sellado (aunque alguna gané), decidí abandonar esa competición y participar en un draft, otro formato limitado en el que solo se usan tres sobres de cartas, pero estas se reparten entre ocho jugadores consiguiendo todos un conjunto de cartas bastante coherente. Mi baraja resultó ser de vampiros, la tribu más agresiva de las presentes en Innistrad.

シールドの中で2回戦負けたら（勝ったときもあったけど！）その大会を諦めてドラフトをやってみようと思った。ドラフトとはもう一つのリミテッドで、3パックずつだけ配られてその中身のカードを8人の参加者が順番に選んでいくフォーマット。一人ずつかなり集中したカードを集めることになる。僕のデッキは吸血鬼、イニストラードの中で一番速攻できる種族。

After losing two rounds of sealed (I did win some) I decided to drop from that competition and join a draft, another format where you start with only 3 booster packs but you pick a card and pass to other players so you end up with a small but focused pool of cards. My deck turned out to be vampires, the most aggressive tribe on Innistrad.

Al ser un mazo tan agresivo resultó muy sinergético apoyarlo con muchas cartas para matar criaturas, y las estrellas de la baraja fueron dos Lanzador de furia, que hacían que cualquier combate fuese perjudicial para mi contrincante. Perdí en la semifinal por muy poco, pero ¡lo pasé muy bien en este mi primer draft!

速攻系のデッキだったから、相手のクリーチャーを殺せるカード一杯入れた。このデッキの切り札は2枚の憤怒を投げる者だった。こいつらのおかげで、どんな攻撃が起こっても僕の有利になった。準決勝でギリギリ負けたけど、初めてのドラフトは結構楽しかった！

Being it such an aggro deck it felt very synergetic to support it with lots of cards to kill other creatures, and the stars of the deck were two Rage Throwers who made any combat a lose-lose scenario for my opponent. I lost quite closely the round before the finals, but I had a great time at my first draft!

Y como os decía al principio, no tengo baraja. Así que el plan es vender las cartas que puedan tener algún valor. Aquí abajo os pongo una lista de cartas que tengo disponibles, algunas de Innistrad y otras de otros años.

上記でも書いてる通り、デッキを持たない人です。だから値段が付くカードを売りたい。下記は売りたいカードのリスト。イニストラードもちょっと前のも入ってる。

And like I wrote at the beginning, I don’t play constructed so I plan to sell all the valuable cards I have. Some are from Innistrad, some are older.

El otro día vino a visitarnos Flapy, y nos trajo una bebida curiosa de Yamaguchi, otra región de Japón. Se trataba de una gaseosa de natsumikan, un cítrico típico de Yamaguchi. Por supuesto, ¡también puedes ver el vídeo en el blog de Flapy!

この間Flapyが遊びに来てくれて、山口県限定の炭酸飲料を持って来てくれた。夏みかんのサイダーです！

Some weeks ago, Flapy came over and he brought us a special soda from Yamaguchi Prefecture. It’s made of natsumikan, a typical citric from Yamaguchi.

¡Cuánto trabajo da un bebé! Pero lo pasamos muy bien todos los días los tres juntos, y ya me he acostumbrado un poco. Os prometo que voy a escribir más regularmente.

赤ちゃんってやっぱり忙しくなる！でも毎日3人で楽しいし、ちょっとなれた。これからもっと頻繁に書きます。約束する。

Having a baby makes you busy! But the three of us have a great time together every day, and I think I’ve got a bit used to it. I promise I’ll be writing more often.

El 23 de junio de 2011 por fin nació nuestra hija Marina, y hemos estado muy contentos y ocupados.

2011年6月23日に娘の鞠菜（まりな）がやっと生まれてきて、それから嬉しくて忙しくてたまりません。

Our daughter Marina was born on the 23rd June, 2011, and we’ve since been very happy and busy.

Al día siguiente la metieron en la incubadora un par de días porque pensaban que podría tener alguna infección, pero está bien aunque ponga cara rara delante de su papá.

2日目から感染症を起こしているかもしれないと2日間保育器に入ってたけど、お父さんの前でこんな顔をしていて元気です。

Starting the second day they put her in an incubator for two days because they thought she might have an infection. But she’s alright, even when she looks like this in front of dad.

Tiene los dedos de los pies largos, como su papá. Lo que lleva pintado en la pierna es el nombre de su madre, para que no se pierda.

足の指はお父さんみたいに長い。脚に書いてあるのはお母さんの名前。迷子にならないように。

Her toes are long just like dad’s. And that thing written on her leg is mom’s name, in case she gets lost.

On her fifth day, I wasn’t able to beat her at arm wrestling anymore.

On Tuesday mom was discharged from the hospital, but we are visiting Marina every day.

Llorar es una de las pocas cosas que hace, pero lo hace bien. Será una buena heavy.

まだ出来ることが少ないけど、泣くのがもちろん得意。この子は立派なヘビメタ好きになれる。

She doesn’t know many tricks yet, but crying is one of her favorite ones. She’ll make a great metalhead.

She prefers mom’s breast, but she doesn’t have any problem with baby bottles either.

En Yufuin visitamos la galería de un artista de origen coreano, un señor que se llama Chung Tong-ju. En sus pinturas usa tanto el área pintada como su ausencia como herramientas de expresión, y a menudo usa caracteres kanji (¿o hanja?) en sus obras. Aquí arriba vemos, de derecha a izquierda, el cielo (空), el viento (風) y la nada (無).

湯布院では、在日韓国人2世のアーティストのギャラリーを訪ねてきた。鄭東珠（チョン・トンジュ）さんの作品では、色の有無が表現に使われていて、漢字もよく出てくる。この上の写真には「空」と「風」と「無」が写っています。

In Yufuin, we paid a visit to the gallery of an artist with Korean roots, Chung Tong-ju. In his work, both color and void are tools of expression, and many times there’s a kanji theme. Above you can see sky (空), wind (風) and nothing (無), left to right.

El señor Chung es muy afable y estuvimos hablando un rato de Picasso y de Miró, cuya obra le encanta. ¡Incluso nos mandó una postal chulísima, porque le habíamos dejado nuestra dirección en el libro de visitas!

チョンさんは親切で話しやすく、しばらく彼が大好きなピカソとミロの話をしました。連絡先を教えたら、いつの間にか素敵なはがきを送ってくれたのです！

Mr. Chung was very nice and we talked for a while about Picasso and Miro –he loves their work. He even sent us a very cool postcard, because we had written our address on his guest book!

¡Y hoy hablamos del último de los cuatro juegos del Nintendo Game Seminar 2010! (Aunque me salté uno.) FloWoooot es un juego de guiar gamusinos a base de corrientes de agua. Si no sabes lo que son los gamusinos, imagínate que son pequeñas medusas.

今日は任天堂ゲームセミナー2010の最後に配信されたゲームの話です！（1つダウンロードし損ねたけど。）フロウートはクラゲみたいな生き物を、水流を利用してすみかまで導くゲームです。

Today I’m writing about the last of Nintendo Game Seminar 2010’s four games! (Although I skipped one.) FloWoooot is a game where you guide some jellyfish to their home, by using water streams.

El juego consiste en dirigir a los gamusinos hacia su nido, generando corrientes de agua a base de arrastrar el palillo de la DS. La línea que dibujemos será una corriente de agua que durará unos segundos, y podemos generar varias corrientes a la vez.

ゲームの基本は、ペンのスライドで水流を発生させてクラゲをすみかまで誘導することです。ペンで描いた線がそのまま数秒続く流れになって、同時にいくつかの水流を利用するのもできる。

The game consists in having the jellyfish arrive at their nest, using water streams you generate by sliding with the touchpen. The streams you make will work only for a few seconds, but you can combine several of them.

Tenemos que hacer que los gamusinos esquiven los enemigos y las trampas que hay, con solo las corrientes de agua de nuestro lado.

クラゲに敵と障害物をよけさせないといけない。使えるものは水流だけ。

You must have the jellyfish avoid all foes and traps, with only the streams you draw on your side.

También vamos recogiendo has a 14 gamusinos en cada pantalla, con lo que hacer que todos lleguen ilesos al nido para conseguir la máxima puntuación es a veces bastante difícil.

14匹のクラゲまで集めてみんなをすみかまで案内するのだけど、14匹全員無事に最後まで行かせるのは難しかったりする。

You should also collect all 14 jellyfish at every stage, and having them arrive to te goal unharmed is quite hard some times.

No conseguí la máxima puntuación en dos de las 12 pantallas, con lo que no sé si hay pantallas secretas. Se ve un cierto desequilibrio en el diseño de niveles, que consigue que este sea el juego más difícil de los que he probado del seminario de este año. Como el 90% de cada pantalla es demasiado fácil pero en cambio se tarda mucho tiempo en llegar a lo difícil, conseguir el 100% se convierte en una tarea tediosa y poco gratificante.

12ステージの中、2つのステージでは満点がとれなかったので、隠しステージがあるかどうか分からない。レベルのデザインが不安定で、今年のセミナーの作品で僕が試した中で一番難しかった。ステージの90%が簡単だけど、難しい部分に着くまでが長くて面倒になる。

I wasn’t able to get all 14 in two of the 12 stages, so I don’t know if there are secret stages. There’s some unbalance in level design, which grants this game more difficulty than any other Seminar game I’ve tried this year. But as 90% of every stage is too easy and slow, to repeat a stage going for 100% completion is a boring experience.

En general, el juego es parecido a Kirby: Power Paintbrush pero sin el ritmo, la fuerza y el ajustado diseño de niveles de este. Desarrolla sus temas y mecánicas a lo largo de los niveles, pero el tempo y la dificultad necesitan bastante revisión. El sonido está bonito y los gráficos también, sobre todo las ilustraciones, pero todo es demasiado azul. Podrían aprender de Starfy cómo se pueden hacer fondos coloridos en un juego acuático. Me lo pasé bien jugando, pero ¡por ahora el que más me ha gustado de este año sigue siendo Pull Pull Pullpy!

ゲームとしてはだいたいタッチ！カービィに似てるけど、カービィのテンポとレベルデザインの濃さがない。ゲームのテーマやメカニックが納得いくほど展開しているけど、テンポと難易度の調整が必要だと思う。音もグラフィックも奇麗だけど、青色が多すぎる気がした。海が舞台というのがあるけど、伝説のスタフィーがカラフルにできてる。やってて楽しかったけど、今のところ試した中で今年のお気に入りはプルプルプルピィー！

The game is highly reminiscent of Kirby: Canvas Curse only without the tempo and tight level design of the later. It develops its themes and mechanics just enough, but difficulty and tempo need serious revision. Sound and graphics are pretty, but everything looked a bit too blue to me. They could have learnt from Starfy how to make a marine game with more colors other than blue. I enjoyed this game, but for now my favorite among the ones I have tried this year is Pull Pull Pullpy!

任天堂ゲームセミナー2010の第二弾ザ・テンタイショーダウンロードし損ねてから、第三弾のプルプルプルピィーの話をしたいと思います！

After missing The Tentai-Show’s distribution period (the second game from Nintendo Game Seminar 2010) I’m writing about the third one: Pull Pull Pullpy.

Es un juego en el que siempre estamos pegados a un planetoide y podemos estirarnos e ir pasando de uno a otro. Me recuerda a muchos juegos de iOS como Astronut, pero la mecánica está muy enriquecida para adaptarla a la DS.

小さな惑星にくっついていて、伸びることによって隣の惑星に行ったりすることができるゲーム。iOSのAstronutなどに似てるが、仕組みがDS用に改造されていて面白くなってる。

It’s a game where you’re stuck to a planetoid and you can stretch and move from one to another. It’s a lot like some iOS games like Astronut, only the mechanic is enriched and adapted to the DS.

Estirando las piernas. Los gráficos y el sonido son simpáticos y están bien acabados.

背伸びをする。グラフィックとサウンドはかわいくて、奇麗にできている。

Doing some stretching. Graphics and sound are cute and well done.

En cada pantalla hay que evitar los enemigos y obstáculos, y recoger todas las estrellas que podamos antes de llegar a la meta.

各ステージで敵や障害物をよけながら、スターをできるだけ集めてゴールのたどり着かないといけない。

In every stage you have to avoid all enemies and take with you as many stars as you can find before reaching the goal.

El juego es muy divertido de jugar y llega a desarrollar sus mecánicas y temas hasta un punto satisfactorio. La dificultad es muy modesta pero al menos hay una pantalla secreta. ¡Mi favorito de este año por ahora!

やってて楽しいし、ゲームの仕組みやテーマは納得いくほど奥深く練ってあると思う。難易度は低いけど、かわりに隠しステージがある。今までの中、今年のお気に入り！

The game is fun to play and manages to develop its themes and mechanics to a satisfying level. Difficulty is modest, but at least there’s a secret stage. It’s my favorite for now this year!
