Ever since I moved to the farm I have appreciated the seasons. From the Autumn rain through til harvest, stretching right into the long dry summer, but my favourite would have to be Spring. The canola is coming out, baby lambs are running amok and farmers are happy. Segway: Nathan and Rach. I just love Engagement sessions and this one is no different, except I only had to go out my front gate and down the track to shoot this one, and instead of finding a crop of canola, Nathan took Rach to 'their' Canola. If you ask me there is something about Yellow and happiness x enjoy and I can't wait to meet up with these guys again soon

Its not time yet to tuck away those winter woolies. Emma and Jarrods gorgeous winter wedding at Magpies Nest Restaurant gets me snuggled up with a hot cuppa all over again. I remember when I first met Emma and she described her perfect winters wedding day. Soft hazy shades of winter, the greys the browns. A casual and relaxed morning wedding (do we not love a morning wedding?) and a stroll amongst those crispy brown vines. This was possibly the most delightful of winter days. Thankyou Emma and Jarrod, and thankyou Maggies.. you look good at the best of times, but we did adore your winter wonderfulness. Enjoy x

Antionette and Anthony's day started in true Griffith form. Good coffee, and an abundance of biscotti baked no doubt with love *(seriously I love Italians) add some pretty awesome elements of style, like our brides fabulous Leah Da Gloria gown , thats gown #1 noted, throw in a wedding party that is ready to 'part-ay' like rockstars (oh yeah we made it the AM with this one) and top it off in true form with a big old party that only the Yoogali Club Griffith can do. Thanks so much to my awesomely gorgeous second shooter, Eliza Bingham. Thanks also to Vince from Midstate Video for helping us navigate the back alleys and laneways, and once again to the wonderful hospitality of the family and friends. I don't always start a wedding day with a wander down to the wharf to see what the locals are catching so before it even commenced, Gen and Lukes day was pretty much full of all sorts of awesome. Firstly roadtrippin to Tathra on the NSW coast, it did put us all in a laid back 'country people are on holiday mood' having flashbacks to days spent on the beach. Autocue waves crashing and Gens gorgeous sister George who can simultaneously laugh and cry all at once (love!) . Then of course the business of getting these guys married and the fact that it wasn't the first time I'd spent a wedding day with this lovely lot, yes.. see HERE and HERE what a glorious treat. I really love this family, and to Gen and Luke may you spend many more happy days by the sea. I had a hard time picking my favourite images, here is just a snippet for you to enjoy x

As far as January weddings go, we sometimes get a little hot, a little stifled under the collar.. at least thats how we roll in Wagga Wagga. Mitch and Laura got married on a crazy hazy hot and dusty day in Wagga Wagga. The party headed out to the lovely St Edwards of the Riverina to enjoy the blue skies and to celebrate this love story. Jess married Stewart at the Junee Liquorice Factory early in November. I need to share this, not only because of how sweet this love was, and how he looked at her, she looked at him.. all that stuff that makes for a perfectly awesome day, but also for the fact that it was the first time I had travelled to a ceremony via first class train carriage. The Wagga Wagga to Junee Countrylink hasn't seen the likes of such before, gosh we were more popular than the buffet cart. This was SO MUCH fun! Loved every minute thanks guys for asking me along to capture it all, this is just a handful of images from that day, which I hope you enjoy. Thanks too to the 'always in for a good party' Mighty Yak and the Junee Roundhouse Musuem we had a ball.

Spring wedding season is well under way and before we know it we will be taking cover in the shade. I love how the seasons change. When Gemma and Chris got married it was just like this. Beautiful, Unconventional and so so much fun. It takes me back to the end of last seasons wedding season, when the Autumn leaves were starting to fall, a crispy clear Autumn day. Cold? well, I don't remember that bit so much, but I do remember the corks flying, the friendships, the families, that family Italian restaurant *things to do before you die EAT HERE , and of course special mention to the Calabria Family Vineyard. It seems like a dream now, but a few months ago I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to visit New York and join one of Australia's most beloved wedding photographers, Samm Blake (Samm now calls New York home) to help capture a wedding in full New York Style. The story of Ingrid and Mikes wedding day in upstate New York, was not only a magical and perfect, but for this girl from Wagga Wagga, it was an experience of a lifetime, watching and learning from one of the worlds best. How very grateful let alone 'pinch pinch' myself I did!

This gorgeous shot of Ingrid and her Dad however does make me reflect. Wagga Wagga or New York , a mansion or a country hall, it really doesn't matter what side of the equator, capturing emotions on wedding days is the same the world around, simply priceless. So thank you universe for giving me such amazing opportunities, and to Samm for her time and sharing what she does so genorously.

Accredited Professional Photographer with the AIPP

I am very pleased to now add this black and white sticker to my name. I am now an accredited member of the AIPP! What does it mean? well, I can give you the official spiel.. which is:
the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) is Australia’s leading membership body for the photography community, being the only professional photography organisation which provides a standard assurance through its ongoing accreditation program. The AIPP is a symbol of one’s professional ability and dedication to the photographic sector and community. Fully accredited members are tested for their expertise in the field and are required to have a minimum of two years working experience as a professional photographer.
But what it means to me? and for my clients? I guess its being in a creative field, wanting to push myself and keep learning, I always want to give my clients more. Also getting involved with the AIPP isn't just seminars and workshops, its meeting and learning from other talented photographers, having friends in the industry means having someone to talk to and direct you and push you to look outside the square. I guess it also means, especially if you don't know me, is that I will provide you with professionalism. This is my job and I value my clients committing their time and money, and just as if you took your car to a mechanic, its nice to say 'hey they are qualified'. Yes, you can and will find cheaper if you get your friend to fix it, and that might work out OK, but in the end if you really want to trust that the job is done, get a professional... and that my friends is what being an accredited AIPP member means to me. Lets be off now, pop some champagne and look forward to making more memories. A personal thanks to my friends and family, and to my wonderful clients for your support over the last few years, it has not gone unappreciated x

After a lovely winter break and a few days of procrastinating by an open fire and dreaming of warmer weather, I can feel a hint of spring around the corner. With a wedding fair to attend and albums to deliver, its time to get fully back into gear. So today I am starting with revisiting the wedding day of Tom and Lizzie. Another gorgeous Magpies Nest Wedding, I never get sick of that.. and I don't mind one bit a wedding party that has this much style and fun. Thanks also in copious amounts to red high heels and those heavenly luscious red roses Scooter Flowers. My first mini session in NYC is a little Carrie inspired.. I loved Sex in the City, and yes I know it was a bit of a fantasy, because a young writer living in New York city living in a fabulous apartment on the Upper East Side who can afford all those shoes, in reality was never going to happen, but still we LOVED it. Anyhoo, meet Silvia. Lives in a fabulous apartment on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, not a movie or TV star.. but I think she could secretly be. I just loved Silvia's New York so much, it was my first port of call when I landed in New York. The bakeries and cafes, the Met, Central Park and those gorgeous brownstones. I am secretly there hailing a cab downtown (only in real life do we take the Subway) enjoy x

This week I head off on a very big adventure. I am nervous and excited all at once and to say I'm a bit distracted is an understatement. I am travelling for the first time to the Big Apple, NYC to see the sights and soak up one of the greatest cities in the world.

So picture me, trying to not look like a tourist, I know I'm heading for a fail there, but I will be sitting on a rooftop overlooking Manhattan on a balmy summers evening channeling my inner Alicia Keys.. and I will think of you fondly Wagga Wagga.. hot summers, flies, dusty boots and beers.. and the Downside Hall. A long way from the Empire State Building..or Brooklyn. This is what I will think of on that rooftop:

Dwayne and Tasha. It was back in March that I had the pleasure of meeting you guys, and can I say it was a pretty awesome experience, can it get any better? I loved how you loved each other like no-one was watching, not only that, but this was such a typically awesome Aussie good time. Nothing more to be said. Let your hair down and let us be so proud to call this country home. Meanwhilst this wedding also fits into the category of 'Country Hall Weddings I love' and 'Girls with boots' x hope you enjoy

The wedding of Claire and Tim was was pretty cool, and I would know cool, because , I have a bumbag #noted thanks guys. Also it included some pretty necessary ingredients; canapes on the lawns of the family property, a decked out marquee that looked as impressive as a five star hotel and ridiculously cute little flowergirls and pageboys. My favourite thing about the day could have been the brides gorgeous interchangable two piece gown *that is one dress, two skirt options..you'll see what I mean.. It also could have been seeing the brides gorgeous sister and little family #coupleswhosweddingsIdid It was a beautiful day. But my top moment was when we were strolling out in the paddock with the sheep, watching an amazing sunset, just two people in love (oh yeah and a photographer and video guy) getting to reflect on a bit of an amazing day when Claire asked 'has anyone seen the band?' you need to understand the reason why a short silence and a lot of laughter followed, because our bride had, not one, but two minor crisiss to deal with that morning, things that any normal bride could have a mild meltdown over. I told her that you know things happen in threes...not that I wanted to stress her out anymore, but its just a fact, this is the way of the universe. Right on cue the mini bus with the most awesome band pulls into the driveway.

What followed was one of the best nights ever. Thanks Claire and Tim for asking me to be there to capture your day, thanks Moondance, it was truly fantabulous.. yep I didn't want to leave

Anna and Drew organised their wedding via London, not the easiest of tasks but one that kind of made the day a bit of a homecoming. There was Pimms and Lemonade and games on the lawn and in an 'Oh so British' way, the boys suits were tailor made in London and the story itself was all traditional and proper; Afterall, she was just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her. Yes, it was the Happiest Day of their lives (I wanted to try to avoid the cliche.. but this is the only way to say it) . Happy was all around. Anna, her happiness was absolutely infectious, I mean this is a girl who can tell you how awesome One Direction are until you end up believing it. Drew is kind of the same, his Risky Business escapades will leave no doubt in that. His brothers, the families, her girlfriends.. talk about Happy, it would seem all day I was knee deep and up to my elbows documenting the happiest day in their lives.

Here we are at the end of a busy season of beautiful weddings, and with so many gorgeous couples and magical days from this year, I have to pinch myself. I have been having a hard time selecting which weddings to feature. As you can imagine the studio has been concentrating on getting images out into the hands of their rightful owners, Mums will be adding an extra frame to the shelf.. Albums to be oohed and agghhed over, and the day will be relived again. Blogging every wedding would only be possible with an extra set of go go gadget arms. Still, I can't believe the amazing opportunities I have had and the exciting adventures ahead, some of them do seem to good to be true. So whilst lots of grand adventure awaits I thought I would feature a day that sums up why I love what I do. The Country wedding of Kath and Joe at Junee Reefs Hall, what can I say, firstly I love this family, I met them before at Joes sisters wedding and there is something about being out in the bush that just feels like home to me.

I've ticked off a few milestones since I first starting shooting weddings in Wagga Wagga and surrounds, like my first Italian wedding in Griffith, my first vineyard wedding at Rutherglen.. or my first Greek wedding in Melbourne, its been quite an adventure to see where the next wedding will take me. I love it, but its not just about the location, and to be honest two people in love could get married at the back of Bourke *note to self book wedding in outback Australia once its all said and done its all about love and family and that is exactly what this next story is all about.

The wedding of Tessa and Todd was my first wedding in Leeton NSW.. in the heartland of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area, home of the Roxy Theatre, where they harvest lots of oranges and grapes, they also do good coffee #naturally I think they can safely owe that to the contingent of amazing Italian families who live and work in the area. Like Tessa's Mum who owns the little Hair Masters Salon..let me say, on this particular day that place was jumping.

Tessa came back to her hometown to marry Todd, not Italian but with an equally awesome family and contingent beside him. This is just a snippet from their beautiful wedding day. PS Thanks also Jen, my trusty sidekick for trekking about the countryside with me, I truly appreciate you x

Somedays everything is perfect, just as its meant to be. And I could go on about this next awesomely beautiful location and the divine styling and all the little things that made it special. Haylie and Tims wedding day. Where to start, perhaps it summed up just about everything I love about being a wedding photographer. Yes, it had every trimming you could ask for, perfect posies of peonies * Scooters Flowers you are the bomb , vintage lace and buicks ..Note *a guide for the styled bride.. but more than that, so, SO much more. My favorite moment of the day was when tears welled, when the very handsome groom laid his eyes on his beautiful bride as she walked down the aisle, there is something so pure and honest when you see a guy cry. Its the real deal, there just is no more. Its just pure wholehearted love. And love was coming in every direction, we all got plastered in it. What a beautiful magical day happened right here. Two things about this, my first wedding of 2014. It was the absolute hottest (by a stretch) that Peppermint Studios has shot, 45 degrees in the shade, what can you say this is summer in Australia, more to the point Deniliquin NSW is it just me or is it always just that bit hotter after you drive through the Conargo plains..past the saltbush. Am I in outback Australia? may as well be. Anyhoo, secondly yep...it was pretty damn awesome.

Sarah and Rossco, whilst we all sought the frozen water bottles and retreated to the shade, they were pretty cool and completely having one of the happiest days of their lives, with a fun crowd like only 'deni does'. Thanks Sarah and Rossco for inviting me back to my hometown for your beautiful wedding, not only back to Deni, but also back to the very church that I married my dear loving husband in #seehoneyistilllremember

I am sharing a gorgeous Melbourne Wedding with you today. When I was asked to help shoot this wedding I jumped at the chance.. one Greek family, one Italian, a perfect story to unfold, not only my expectations of good coffee, good food and an all round good shindig were more than realised, but I had my first experience into a Greek traditional ceremony, and managed to live to tell the tale.

So here we are, 2014. Noted, still no space ships hovering around #mind flashback to thoughts growing up in the seventies *cough cough, I mean eighties... So another year down, and dusted off.
I've been spending the last few weeks recovering from a massive year shooting beautiful Wagga Wagga Weddings with some serious time off kicking back and relaxing (now that IS hard work!) with my special peeps. But with wedding season just around the corner, I'm like a dog salivating at the bone... seriously, that is passion. Still so happy to say I've STILL got it *passion and after all thats what truly makes my world go round, even if I sometimes come off looking like a half crazed dog with a bone... but enough painting that picture.

So its time for us to wrap up the slip n' slide, and declare 'Mum' the conquerer of the three day Monopoly challenge.. and get back into it. This year I have so many beautiful weddings to look forward to. Again I seem to be blessed that my clients seem to put their faith into me. I can only do my best, that is 100 percent, and that is what I will do, so thank you for the beautiful couples I have met and have entrusted me to their special day. Secondly, I have the small thing of my 'new years resolution' to take care of.

My name is Tina Bingham and I will be present in photographs. Ok.. realistically I probably wont' be in that many, but seriously it occurs to me that although we have a lot of family snaps, and lots and lots of images of my kids as they grow, its a fairly scarce photograph with me included, obviously I am the one behind the camera mostly.. but still. So even though it makes me a bit nervous. Lets face, being behind the camera is just an excuse. We generally say 'oh I look horrible.. don't get me in it' .. every excuse under the sun. So this year Mums.. heed the call, don't wait til your perfect. You will never be perfect. - Sue Bryce or just maybe you are?

Thank you to my beautiful friend the amazing Vicky Papas Vergara, Vicky is one of Melbournes best photographers and couture artists.. put this way, she can simply make you feel like a million dollars.

When I go out to shoot a wedding I am not happy unless I can truly tell the story, I want it to be like you are reading it in a magazine and seeing the pictures and feeling what it was like...a National Geographic of weddings. Oh, I know I do go on... This next wedding is the story of Laura and Bryan, in a little town called Coolamon NSW. I have not many words to say about this, but I LOVED every minute, from the girly giggles and the oohing and aghhing over all the cool retro styling to the insanely hilarious pre wedding 'touch match' courtesy of the boys, the pink cadallac #forrealz , the shaking like a polaroid picture and the super rocking Coolamon Up to Date Store, like only a small town can. Laura and Bryan, I conduct thee into the Peppermint Studios Hall of Fame (of couples we love) hope you enjoy x featuring make up by my gal Ali and some super cute people.
