Happy Monday Everyone!

Finally managed to get some behind the scenes video of canyoneering in Bear Canyon. Of course, now I have to figure out how to edit the video together... I hope to have that up in the next few days for you to enjoy. In the meantime, here is one of the shots I took this past weekend. The narrow section here is really short, but the colors are pretty nice. It was a bit later in the afternoon than it usually is when I got here so the light was a bit different and I think better overall.

The moon in this picture reminds me of the beginning of a Dreamworks movie with the kid sitting in the moon and fishing in the lake.

This was shot early in the morning during blue hour while I was taking this picture of the classic Tunnel View in Yosemite. I turned to look the other direction while the shutter was open and saw this beautiful sliver of the moon glowing in the last darkness before dawn. As always, be sure to leave your thoughts and comments below!

Just a quick post for today. I made the short hike to the Mirror Lake area when I was in Yosemite. The lake wasn't such of a big deal, but the view of Half Dome mixed with the gorgeous clouds was pretty incredible. I used a Nodal Ninja 5 panorama head to create this 7 frame image. What do you think?

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I set off to the Camp Verde area on Saturday morning to photograph a slot canyon in that. It was also my intention to record a little behind the scenes video to share with you all but unfortunately, the video didn't come out because of some equipment issues. Hopefully I'll have better luck next time.

In the meantime, I'll have a few shots photos from the canyon coming up in the next couple days. I have been finding it helpful to wait a day or two before I begin processing my images. This helps clear my mind a little better and allows me to visualize the final image before I begin.

Today's shot comes from the Grand Canyon's south rim. I took this a few weeks ago during what was turned out to be a very long (but awesome day). It was a very cold and windy morning when I arrived and I found this lone tree that seemed to be growing into solid rock swaying with the wind. I loved the colorful glow that came from the newly risen sun. Enjoy!

The fog was pretty dense the day I drove into the Yosemite Valley. Even so, I couldn't help be amazed by the size and height of these beautiful pine trees. Being a desert rat from Arizona, I had never imagined trees this tall. The beautiful red and green colors called to me through the fog and I stopped on the side of the road to get this shot.
