Rob interviewed top paddlers such as Brandi Baksic, Jenny Kalmbach, Dan Gavere, Nikki Gregg, Infinity's Steve Boehne, Tomahawk's Evan Lloyd, Fletcher Burton, Wade Lawson, Candice Appelby, Dave Collins, Ken Hoeve, and NW residents Ken Campbell and PW team rider Beau Whitehead.

Photos in the book include several local PW paddlers such as Patrick Aio, Bobby, and Beau Whitehead.

2 for 1 SUP Lessons till the first day of Summer

2 is better than 1. Yes, that's right! Grab a friend, spouse, co-worker or whoever and let's ready for summer, with this killer deal at PW to get you ready for summer and get all those paddling questions and kinks out of the way. If your a beginner, this is also a great way to get started for half the cost. SUP lessons at PW are normally $45/60-90min lesson. Now you can grab a buddy and start it for half the price.

Also ask about our advanced paddling and training sessions. If you feeling adventurous join us in the waves for a SUP Surfing lesson ($100/2hr lesson).

Keep us in mind this summer while down at the lake in Kirkland, for your family and company summer picnics. We can also do group events. We'll show up with a load of boards and offer instruction if needed, then we can pick them up after your event.

We also offer paddle board delivery & pick-up ($10ea way) on rentals to any Eastside beach on LW. We will also start adding race boards to our rental pool this summer, if you feel like entering a race or just want to try one. Race boards will only rented to experienced paddlers.

Our NW SUP sales rep Rob Casey just completed ‘Stand Up Paddling Flat Water, Surf and Rivers,’ the first comprehensive instructional guidebook on stand up paddling (SUP). Published by Seattle based Mountaineers Books, the guide will be published in April 2011.

Part of the Mountaineers Outdoors Expert Series, the book covers the basics of stand up paddling from gear choices and basics to how to run rivers, surf, tidal rapids, racing, and paddling on overnight trips. Dave Kalama wrote the Forward, Nikki Gregg contributed to the Fitness chapter, and Corran Addison co-wrote the History chapter.

Rob interviewed top paddlers such as Corran Addison, Brandi Baksic, Jenny Kalmbach, Wade Layson, Fletcher Burton, Evan Lloyd, Candice Appelby, PW's Beau Whitehead, Tacoma resident Ken Campbell, and shaper Steve Boehne of Infinity Surfboards, among others.
