•  If you are interested in applying for the 2026 Leadership Team, please submit a 1 page essay detailing why you think you should be chosen for the Leadership Team.  A well written application essay should include:  what band means to you, what makes for a good leader, and why you think you are a good leader.

In addition to your letter, your attendance, marching/playing ability, and attitude will be taken into consideration.  If you plan to audition for Field Commander, you must submit a leadership essay.  Please note in your essay that you want to be considered for Field Commander.

Letters are due no later than Friday, April 10.

•  Monday- Pre District Concert in the Aux Gym at 7PM.  Winds should be in seats for pictures at 6:30PM, Concert Band will follow immediately.

•  Friday-  District Large Group Adjudicated Event at John Glenn High School:

     -Both groups will leave PHS at 7PM (be here no later than 6:45PM)

     –  Concert Band will perform at 9:35 PM

     –  Symphonic Winds will perform at 10:05 PM

•  We hope to arrive back at PHS around midnight

•  These performances are free and open to the public.  Please come support your students at both events and the incredible music they are making!

•  The fee for each solo is $21 and the fee for each ensemble is $26 (ensemble fee is NOT per person).  Checks should be made payable to the Perry Band Boosters.

•  If your solo requires an accompanist, it is imperative that you secure an accompanist ASAP (ASAP=before you turn in your registration form)  A list of available accompanists is on our website.  You may also procure your own accompanist if you find one.  We are very short on accompanists this year so please take care of this early.

•  Registration forms are available in the main band room or by clicking here.  All forms and fees must be turned in no later than December 3!

Doors will open at 9AM, buses will roll at 9:45AM.  Please eat a good breakfast as we will not be stopping on the way down.  We will stop on the way home for dinner.  We are hoping to arrive back at PHS around 6 or 7PM.

]]> Buckeye Invitational http://perryband.com/2025/10/buckeye-invitational-3/ Thu, 02 Oct 2025 23:24:42 +0000 http://perryband.com/?p=5787 Read More...]]> Our performance at the Ohio State University is just over a week away!  The Perry HS Marching Band will perform in Ohio Stadium at 5:45PM.  Doors will open at 12:45PM, buses roll at 1:45PM.  We should return to PHS around midnight.

Following our performance, you will be able to eat at concessions (cashless), watch other HS bands, and then end the evening with a performance by the Ohio State University Marching Band.  This is an awesome event and a great venue to perform in.

There is a lot of spectator information including full Buckeye Invitational schedule, parking, ticket sales, and online merchandise (tee-shirts etc to commemorate the event…I HIGHLY suggest pre-ordering if possible) that is available by clicking this link

There are bands performing all day so feel free to make a day of it so come down and support your Perry Band!
