Or we just "pretend" like nothing we can do?

I will post a few articles on www.Helium.com

Once in a life-time...investment opportunity!!!-(Part I)

A life-time investment opportunity? In fact, there are many great opportunity that started to surface with the current U.S market such as inclination of commodity price, subprime lending crisis and lately the credit problem.

Let's not to exaggerate on the title mentioned. This topic will only take a closer look into the effect of real estate problem that initiated from subprime lending crisis and mortgage fund. I'm also would like to relate the opportunity lies below such problem...

If real estate slow down, so do construction sector, and thus umemployment rate is potentially high.

Let's take a closer look...when real estate sales declined, it eventually leads to a plunge in real estate prices. And this reduces the market value of the housing sector. The chain reaction will be more likely to cause the amount of home equity loans shrink and thus resulted a decline in consumer spending...

U.S economy depends over 70% on personal consumption. The shrinking consumer spending will contribute a downturn in the economy...and again chain reaction take place>>>further unemployment>>>further decline in real estate sales>>>plunge of real estate prices>>>...

Liquidate the sector is going to slow down the process before it get worsen. But, it is not going to eleminate the whole problem. So, what do we do...as an investor?

Let's go back to the basic! When everything slow down, "nature" will still require the market to keep surviving...and as long as the nation still able to keep up the global pace of growth...including the newly emerged Asian market. When market slows down, the standard of living will have to give up its consumption, and "force" to increase its productivity...especially the servicing or value-added sector. This will be the advantage of U.S market. Therefore, I presume that the next emerging sector after such crisis or recession will be more declined to "servicing" sector.

Perhaps beside park your extra saving into the "real properties", we may also start doing the "home-work" especially in servicing sector and wait for the right moment to "strike"!

Investing in the year 2008? I'm not trying to mislead you by quoting Mr.Warren Buffett recent moves. The moral behind the news is...Even in such a volatile market trend, you may see it as a trap. But, people see it as a golden opportunity of a life time. So, how do you maximize your profit in such a volatile market?

The answer is...you need to go to the basic! You shouldn't expect a "skyrocketing" return in such market trend. But if you are disciplined investor, you are at the right path!

Here's few reminders and tips to invest in year 2008!

The reminders:-

1) Be rational - You need to be go back to the basic of investing! Invest only for those companies that has a good and strong management ability. Companies that survive in such a economy turmoil are those with ability to minimize expenses and increase profit without jeopardizing their sales.

2) Self disciplined - Think and study before investing. You need to be extra disciplined before putting in your hard earned money into the market.

3) Put extra effort while doing your homework - The basic of value investment is all about "good management background" and "account statement". Finding a good and capable management is very subjective and relatively "difficult" but not impossible! Strong account statement can be found in annual report.

4) Cash is king - Especially at such a volatile market trend! Know where to park your money is equally important as knowing how to invest!

5) Be logical and practical - Access the risk before you decide which company or which sector to invest may guide you to the next market trend. Mr.Warren Buffett predicted that the next market trend in U.S market will be the company which could monopoly the market right after recession...or during recession.

The guidelines:-

1) Energy or oil market - These are the most fundamental requirement for any country to "build and re-build" the economics.

2) Company that survive - Recession if you think outside the box are necessary for the market to "screen" out those poorly managed and "keep" the well managed company! Those company that has adequate cash flow and ability to cut their production cost without jeopardizing their profit and growth are "qualified" for such a "test"!

3) Be patience - Only the patience and discipline investor survive. Be patience and manage your cash flow! Do not follow rumors or your hard earned saving may be evaporated by the economy turmoil!

4) Supports and trust - Trust your ability of investing (never be complacent on the knowledge and experiences that you gained along the way!) Trust is equally important as to support your lovely country! (You must be able to justify the different between trusting your country and trust your "political leader"...)

5) Do not day-dreaming of becoming rich overnight - Do not loose focus on the "basic" of investment. Most of the investor losing their money because they try to "take" opportunity while other suffer. You are a winner only if you are capable, not because of hoping other to suffer!

6) Know the reason of "Fear and greed!" - When people fear, that might be an golden opportunity to gain something valuable or under-valued!

The tips:-

1) Follow up closely on the "Energy or oil sector"

2) Do not gamble on commodity market.

3) Study and do your homework on the companies that helps to "save" cost.

4) "Save yourself" by not depending too much on "politician's hypocrisy". Never quit learning!

5) Watch out your own investment portfolio. Do not depend too heavily on the fake "advice". Ask only those you know them well and faithful to the investment advice. One way to find out is to check out whether the so-called experts are really expert and making money even for themselves !

6) Don't do it if you are not sure! It's better to observe and do a little "paper trading" before putting your real and hard earned saving into something you hardly know!

Last but not least, my sincere advice is ... "Take all comments and tips as a guideline, do not follow blindly if any doubt. Most importantly...Do your homework! All the best to you!"

After notes: The author do not held any responsible on any investment loses.

Year 2008--Focus of investor!

Risk management is often a hot topic for discussion among investors. How do you compare 2 or more items with different prices? What sort of criterias you set before decision made? Think about your personal value (some people called it market value)? Do you know what's the most valuable personal elements embedded within you?

Identify your personal value...and be sure about what's your strength and weakness.

Personal values including:- competency, responsibility, dedication, credibility, honesty, discipline, integrity, innovative, creative, adventurous, compassion, independence, persistence, collaborative.

How many of the above mentioned value found within you? Knowing your own strength and weakness will not guarantee a successful life. But lack of the self-value will guarantee a total failure. Employers or bosses often look for such natural behavior of her/his employees and far-sighted corporate leader will ensure that her/his future successor has the same or better ability of personal value in order to sustain the progress of a company.

Here's a list of some values employers are looking for:-

Integrity - successful business maintained and retained the best employees with high integrity. A strong company or corporate required a capable AND honest leader in order to grow bigger and stronger. The word integrity and honesty are pertained in the context of "succeed"!

Positive working ethic - This value is sub-value from the above. A person or leader with high integrity will eventually shows up a positive working ethics. Doing more that what's expected on the job and from your boss and solving problems or create a value as a system to resolve a permanent and persisted problem is one of the example.

Reliable and disciplined - A well behave and disciplined employee is often a reliable person. Time management and punctuality is one of the most important factor evaluated by your employer.

Ability to adapt and adopt - Employers always look for someone who is flexible and easily adapt and adopt to the new challenge as well as new environment.

Innovative, initiative and creative - With the rapid evolving world of economy, the bigger challenge required a person with high creativity, innovative and initiative.

Self-motivated - Self-motivated employees require minimum attention and instruction. And hence, they will be able to hadle stress and insist on constant improvement.

Work to learn or for decent earning? Its totally up to you, you can think outside the box...

Have you heard about "Evonomics"?

According to economist Eric D. Beinhocker, who published The Origin of Wealth (Harvard Business School Press, 2006), explained "Evolution and economics are both examples of a larger mysterious phenomenon" to be found in complexity theory.

Evolution and economics are not just analogous to each other, but they are actually two forms of a larger phenomenon called complex adaptive systems, in which individual elements, parts or agents interact, then process information and adapt their behavior to changing conditions.

...Immune systems, ecosystems, language, the law and the Internet are all examples of complex adaptive systems.

Evonomics also explains "...in biological evolution, nature selects from the variation produced by random genetic mutations and the mixing of parental genes. Out of that process of cumulative selection emerges complexity and diversity. In economic evolution, our material economy proceeds through the production and selection of numerous permutations of countless products. "

So, economics do evolve from one form to another...naturally! This is the inevitable force of "nature". How to adapt and adopt in order to maximize personal income by applying the principle of "Evonomics"?

Try to shrink down the theory into micro-form...to individual. Studies show some of the rich man has (quite) similar characters :-

They always carry out "risk accessment" and prefer opportunity rather than security. They are adventurous and dare to venture into "any ideas" that can make money even though they have to lose their job!

They take action instead of just a plain talk.

They are a good listener. Rich man accept suggestions and opinions. They often look for ideas and turn it into business opportunity!

They never complaint and will never give reasons when they fail, but learn from mistakes.

So, the ability to adapt yourself and step out of the comfort zone is relatively crucial for an individual to be more competitive. You may choose to stay in a place with the reason that you like a more peaceful environment, but we can't deny the facts of globalization and the ever-changing world of economy...and the first step of upgrading your life (either to become wealthier or more freedom)>>>Begin to think differently, probably opposite the way you used to think!

Remember, "only the stronger survive"!

Work or not to work???

To work or not to work? Many of us had raise this question before...especially when you found that time is always a constraint for being with lovely wife, kids, parents...when the amount of stress is always unequal compare to pity amount of salary earned...

How many of you have ever "dream of" making a decent earning without much hustle? And able to plan on spending your coming Christmas vacation oversea? Or retire young with relatively high productivity?

Working whole life searching for financial freedom is (almost) all of us are looking and working for...even as a businessman/businesswoman.

If there is an option, I would be more than happy to stay wealthy which created from passive income. Either consciously or sub-consciously, we are actually doing something that "we hope" to build a passive income source.

So, how to create passive income or become a passive income earner instead of being a wage earner (active income earner)? You may even thought of working harder, or work for part-time job to create extra income flow...but we are still trap in the rat-race...that will be a never ending story!

There are various known and unknown ways to create passive income...namely:-

Real properties

Paper assets (share, mutual fund, bond...)

Business (either online or offline business)

You may not have a $1 million idea, but if you're capable of creating and forming a highly popular stream of traffic or popularity either online or off-line (this excluding the investment skills, but you could still create a passive income source by consulting in such field). You are qualified for at least $10,000 or even $100,000 monthly income.

But do you have to work or quit your existing job in order to create and learn such a skill? I'm a 9-5 wage earner that still working for self-satisfaction and don't bother much about being fired...BECAUSE I'm having a secondary or even third personal niche which guarantee a steady flow of passive income!

I have also debate about "Which one is more costly? Money or Time?" in one of my blog. There, I discuss about spending money smartly is "cheaper" than spending your precious time looking for popularity and traffic.

Last but not least, I DO NOT really recomend for those who has only one income source to quit their job so soon. Learn your favourite secondary niche/skill and work hard to create a second income source before you decide to be on your own...not being employed anymore! Either passive income or earned income (active income) The ultimate RULE that no body could avoid ->>Work hard, BE positive about success and failure and learn harder! Remember, there will not be a free lunch waiting for us...if we never work hard and smart!

"Compose" your own way of investment that make you rich

What happen to my portfolio? It doesn't seems convincing after years of investment in share market...what actually went wrong?

Do you have the same feeling as others?...that all the top and famous investors like Warren Buffett, Peter Lynch, Pabrai...have become so rich with investments. What went wrong with share market today?

My friend has commented and strongly against making money via share market, he says...if YOU could become rich by just ANALYSING whatever datas posted, and start investing in share market, then the richest man/woman in the world should be those having the 1st hand information...and not you!

I do agree with him...at certain extend. But why are those great investors still making tonnes of money by merely investment?

The answer actually lies in the bottom line!

Not all musician know how to compose a great song...but most of them know at least how to play piano or guitar...

So the bottom line of investment...If there is a "secret" key of investment. Everyone can be rich!
So, how to start "composing" your own way of investment?

First, know the basics of investment - Nobody is going to teach you how to become the best swimmer if you don't even know the basic of swimming...so do I. Be more initiative to make a living in investment...do your home work of investment! There is no fast rule or short-cut to make money via investment.

Don't be too greedy - I highlighted the word "too" because if you're too greedy, your emotion will be in controlled. Be rational on your own financial ability. DO NOT expect to be an overnight-millionaire via investment. That's gambling! Investment is not a bet...at least for me is not a bet. Its a way to "park" your extra saving and expand or maximize your saving instead of just putting it into your normal saving account. I believe the awareness of how to expand our hard-earned money against inflation will be more common as compare to those day!

Choose the right investment method - My wife is a typical lady that won't risk her hard-earned saving into something with no guaranteed of fixed income. So, I strongly recommend that she may invest in bonds and real properties with certain degree of "security". But not for me! I do believe that the amount of return either shares or other "higher risk" investment will still pay. As long as you do sufficient of research and study...together with the right tools.

Fear and greed - When everyone fears, its an opportunity waiting for those who's far-sighted. Recent fear of subprimes-lending crisis and recession poss a great hidden opportunity ahead. Pick the right share which will survive even in the worst market condition. When the hot money start flowing outward...recently to great China market, its a great opportunity waiting for us to pick the right investment and further enrich our self as well as our portfolios.

Think further - A far-sighted investor uses "telescope" to carry out research and study on the potential of stocks, while speculator uses "magnifying glass" and "emotion" to judge the trend of a stock! Consider the future of a share based on your personal niche or which you have the most experience. For instance, if you are an environmentalist, focus on the study or research based on your experience and knowledge of company that "green the earth". Pick up the right stock which you think it might benefit human and environment. If you have better choice, choose the stock that monopoly and will monopoly in future!

Do not afraid of failure - To reduce the risk of failure doesn't mean that you need to avoid failure! Fear of failure (in my opinion) is worst than making a mistake! Try your best to avoid making the same mistake! Failure often incur when "greed and fear" conquer rational thinking. Dare to make decisions smartly! Doing something that you not familiar could be fatal if you are greedy and not ready! Start up your investment portfolio with minimum and affordable amount, when you failed, find out why and do not repeat!

Make use of the greater advantage of Internet - While we are sleeping, the world has quietly transformed into more collaborative and connectivity form! This is the greatest advantage as a small investor compare to previously (without online service). We get more real-time information and data which allow us to consider and made the wise decision. However, too dependant on "data" that free-flowing is dangerous. Make the right decision and consider wisely.

Be more dynamic - Start thinking more dynamically! Know where you stand, control your emotion, think further, DO NOT afraid of failure and be prepared for the transformation of technology will ensure brighter future as an (successful) investor and create a steady and wealthy passive income!

More information is recommended from http://www.about.com/.

Which one's more risky...work or not to work?

Which one is more risky...Work or not to work?

Ever think of what happen to you in the next 5 - 10 years? I'm assuming that if you work hard for money, you'll be working even harder for money. The issue today is...how to think and move outside the box...?
How are you going to change your life if you don't make a different move TODAY?

A wise path toward financial freedom is to create free cash flow! We all know that! But if we realise the actual rule of cash and make full use of our cash flow, we are setting a way toward personal freedom...the freedom of time, freedom to be with family, freedom to quit working (or stop selling our labor) and eventually financial freedom.

Make money with Google

Here's issue related to "make money with Google":-

...and create your financial freedom with blogs!

First and foremost, finding the right path and right plan to create financial freedom is essential.

There are numerous online techniques* or guides*could be found online, such as "How to make money online", "Generate income online"(*most of the FREE guides are actually very costly...it doesn't count in term of money, but your precious time). The main objective of this post is to reveal the issue of "making money with Google".

Before we get started, here's why I've chosen Google as a platform to explain and show you how others generate income through Google!

It is the most popular keyword search worldwide, while the word Yahoo was 11th. Let's take a look at the keyword trends searched daily online (on the graph on your right). The word "Google" is still on the up-trend.

This indicates that the number of people search for Google as well as uses Google as a tools to perform most tasks online keep increasing.

So, does it mean anything (...at all) to our title above(..."Make money with Google")? You bet it does! Imagine the overall traffics that Google generated and people uses Google as a platform to perform all tasks...most importantly it is powered by Google! The advertisement and marketing power that Google has and making the most out of it is unimaginable.

How to make money with Google? My motive behind making money with Google are simply because I think it is a one-stop kind of platform and quite user-friendly. Imagine, if you are the beginner on blogging, finding the useful tools that is "Googlenabled" will saved half of your precious time(if Google is your platform). I use Google Analytics to trace my web's performance as well as optimizing my web site while utilise Google AdSense to make money. You might have found lot of products that powered by Google too. So, the conclusion is...its too simple!

However, there's also disadvantage by using Blogger.com(powered by Google) as a blogging platform. For instance, this platform has limited room of control...especially for the advance blogger. There's other platform that allowed web user to create blogs and provide relatively bigger room of freedom in carry out the desired task! One of the platform is Wordpress.com which is free and equally powerful.

Making money by blogging is simple to learn but not easy to achieve...if we are not:-

Passionate

Disciplined

Determined

Plenty of techniques, websites, blogs, articles...can be found online. Information provided (some...) are resourceful. Pick up the right information could save your time.

I'm not gonna touch on the topic of "how to build a blog". You may visit one of my web page on http://sellyourideas.googlepages.com/ for more details.

In fact, quoting Blogs as a source of passive income is a bit misleading. In my opinion, blogging may be one of a brilliant way to create source of income...but not really a passive income (if we do not know how to create a juicy and informative content that is seasoned-proof!). Generally, blogging could be semi-passive-income that still required a minimum attention or updates.

I'll further discuss on "How to make money by blogging" and "Speculation on the future trend on web ownership" in the next post...(I'm still working on it!)

Making money online Vs Making money with Google

Let's carry out little bit of study on the different between making money online Vs making money with Google!

As far as I'm concerned, you could make money online through various channel, namely:-

Online business and trading

Online auction through eBay

Online coaching, consultancy or training

Online investment...and many more

Google offers very limited options on direct income source...Google AdSense. Smart-business-minded web user utilise the high traffic generated by Google as investment tool or passive income generator.

How do they do it?

By advertising or marketing your products online (I considered the contents in blog as products and the blog as a business...and reader as your "consumer"), more traffic stands a higher chance of getting more "consumer" which eventually generate income for your "business". But in this case, incomes that generated is not direct but indirect from the readers! Here's the secret recipe:-

"... if you are part of the advertiser that market your blog with Google...you are actually invested a fraction of your future income in order to leverage your web traffics as well as popularity which later attracts other advertiser to post their ads on your blog/web. Eventually, this generate incomes for you..."

How to work out on advertisement expenses in order to leverage and generate the "projected" income require a little bit of simple math! And a bit of tricks on time management!

Last but not least, you may also carry out some case-study on how other bloggers generate a significant income through their blogs. But my sincere advise will still be the same...find out the reasons and intentions of blogging before monetizing your blog or make money with Google!

Personal Skill Development

I'm working very hard to create financial freedom (I believe we all do...) and plan for early retirement which will enable myself to spare more time with my lovely family as well as to work for fun...and let the money do the rest!
HOW?

Here's the secret recipe...develop your personal skill!

Personal skill for the existing job

The real "security"...Passive income

Personal skill that generate passive income...eventually financial freedom(i.e. paper assets, real estates, business, online income...)

Where and how to begin?!? What? Objective or intention? Some of web user are serious about blogging but give-in half way as they see no improvement and changes on the traffic. Moreover, it depends very much on the determination and hard works. I concluded that:-

work hard, play harder!

work smart and hard

...know where you stand! Better prospect? Enhance life experiences? Better time management? More freedom? More saving? More secured? Whatever it is...let's try the opposite way of thinking!!!

i) More saving?...we could have save more money of being an employee?Possible...if you know how to avoid taxes and tolls...

ii) To enhance your (life) experiences?...or merely to the specific workplace that you work? But neglected about other more important experiences like how to be a better parent? Or how to gain more experiences...if you're still tie down with your job?

iii) Appreciated by your boss?...we are nothing more that an obidience "pussy cat" of him/her!

iv) Better prospect?...or just a highly or even over paid Avtive income earner, that the income ceased when we fall sick or stop working.

v) More secured...of being an employee?...what happen to your expertise in 10 to 20 years down the road? What happen just 1 year before your retirement for gratuity and your boss turn out and said to you...:"you'll be transfered or perhaps resign volantary..."

No doubt, there are still "human-like" bosses around...but are they really appreciate what you're doing or just a "best actor-of-Holly-molly-wood"!
Stepping out of "comfort-zone" is not easy, stepping out into something not certain and not sure is even tougher. But if we never step out of this comfort zone...we are still trap in the rat-race...
Last but not least, I am still an employee during this writing. Nevertheless, I really wish that we could at least learn something out of the "box" and confident that we are not afraid of lossing jobs just because we do not know how to please the bosses!

Backlink Builder

Enter Keyword (Theme)

Recession? Or false alarm?

Global recession alert...? Or simply a false alarm?
Lots of my friends asked me when recession is gonna happen? If recession is inevitable, how soon is it going to happen? Worst still, some even jokingly said: recession is not only going to happen, it is happening...I would not be able to tell...But could recession be happened or repeated? The answer is quite obvious. I would say-Yes.

How could it be happened? Who or what causes it to happen? What happen when it get started? Which country or who would suffer?

Instead of scratching our head to find out the above answers...is there any better solution or more relevant ideas? I am collecting datas and it's going to be published very soon...stay tune!

Cheap Flights - Over 1,200 Destinations Worldwide

Cheap flights to New York

Cheap flights to Dubai

Cheap flights to Bangkok

Cheap flights to Orlando

Cheap flights to Las Vegas

Cheap flights to Sydney

Definition of Flat-form

Flat-form can be defined (...by writer) as platform that used by the net_workers to collaborate, connect, and coordinate in the flat-world (created and introduced by Mr.Thomas L. But are we ready to take up the challenges/changes waiting ahead if we are not prepared?

How are we going to prepare ourself for the changing world?

Everything started from foundamentals...so, lets get started from foundamental aspects:-

Education system

Culture

Research and Development (both private and government funded)

Awareness...

There are more topics to discuss, but to cut it short, we started our discussion from the most crucial foundamental aspects...

Education - What went wrong with our education system? What could we do and are we able to do anything about it? What is the worst case scenario?

Culture - Are we familiar with our culture? What actually went wrong?

Research and Development - Are we active in R&D? What is the challenge waiting ahead? How does it affect our future?

Awareness - Are we heading towards the right direction? Are we aware of the silent crisis waiting ahead? Are we too complacent? What are we suppose to do? How do we start?

All the above questions are critical but how serious are we towards the actions needed to be taken?

The answer is NON...and it is sad to notice that we are moving backward!

Stocks slide...on rising oil price on 19th Oct 07...

Stocks Slide on Earnings, Rising OilFriday October 19, 3:01 pm ET By Tim Paradis, AP Business Writer
Wall Street Falls As Rising Oil Prices, Lackluster Profit Reports Stir Economic Concerns
NEW YORK (AP) -- Stocks pulled back sharply and bonds jumped Friday as lackluster profit reports and rising oil prices stirred concerns about the ability of the economy to continue to push ahead...

...news from Yahoo!Finance...

Share market plunged sharply on 19th Oct 2007 almost 320 points on DJI...which are the sector that will be affected if the commodity bubble burst?
