<p>Please note that this survey contains data for Single Family Residences only. </p>
<p>The number of homes in the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Active</span></strong> status is down to 195 homes for this time period in February 2012 compared to 233 homes for the same time period in 2011 representing a<strong> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">16.31% decrease</span></strong>. </p>
<p>The number of homes in the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Pending</span></strong> status is up for this time period in February 2012 with 172 homes compared to 160 homes for the same time period in 2011 representing a <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">7.50% increase</span></strong>. </p>
<p>The number of homes that <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Closed Escrow January  2012 </span></strong>has <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">decreased 18.64% </span></strong>from last year with 48 in 2012 homes compared to 59 in 2011.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">JANUARY  2012 CLOSED TRANSACTIONS:</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Belmont</span></strong> had 2 Closed Transactions.  Neither had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Burlingame</span></strong> had 8 Closed Transactions.  Four had a Sales Price over $1,000,000. One of those four had a sales price over $2,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Foster City</span></strong> had 4 Closed Transactions. None had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Hillsborough</span></strong> had 3 Closed Transactions.  All three had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.  Two of those three had a Sales Price over $2,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Redwood</span></strong><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> Shores</span></strong> had 2 Closed Transactions. Neither had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">San Mateo</span></strong> had 29 Closed Transactions.  Eight of them of them had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.   Two of those eight had a Sales Price over $2,000,000.</li>
</ul>
<p>There were 48 total reported January Closed Transactions in these six communities.</p>
<ul>
<li>60.42% of the Closed Transactions (29) were in San Mateo.</li>
<li>16.67% of the Closed Transactions (8) were in Belmont.</li>
<li>08.33% of the Closed Transactions (4) were in Foster City.</li>
<li>31.25% of the Closed Transactions (15) had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li>12.50% of the Closed Transactions (6) had a Sales Price over $2,000,000.</li>
<li>04.17% of the Closed Transactions (2) had a Sales Price over $3,000,000.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">33.33%</span></strong> of the total January Closed Transactions (16 out of 48) <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">sold for the List Price or more</span></strong>.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">PROPERTIES “IN CONTRACT” JANUARY 01-31, 2012:</span></strong></p>
<p>The following are some numbers from a survey that I don’t post in a spreadsheet or chart on this blog, but review with my office at our weekly sales meetings.   Each week I do a report on “What has sold?”  This survey represents all the properties in all Pending statuses and Sold status that have a reported “Sale Date” from the beginning of the month in each of the communities I survey.  This information gives us a better indication of what types of properties and price ranges that are currently selling.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Belmont</span></strong> had 13 sales ratified.  Two of them had a List Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Burlingame</span></strong> had 12 ratified sales.  Seven of them had a List Price over $1,000,000. </li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Foster City</span></strong> had 8 ratified sales.   Three of them had a List Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Hillsborough</span></strong> had 7 ratified sales.  All seven of them had a List Price over $1,000,000.  Six of those seven had a List Price over $2,000,000.  One of those 6 had a list price over $4,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Redwood</span></strong><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> Shores</span></strong> had 4 ratified sales. Two of them had a List Price above $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">San Mateo</span></strong> had 46 reported sales.  Eight of them had a List Price above $1,000,000.  One of those eight had a List Price at $3,000,000.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>There were 90 total reported January sales in these six communities.</li>
<li>51.11% of the reported sales (46) were in San Mateo.</li>
<li>14.44% of the reported sales (13) were in Belmont.</li>
<li>13.33% of the reported sales (12) were in Burlingame.</li>
<li>32.22% of the reported sales (29) had a list price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li>07.78% of the reported sales (7) had a list price over $2,000,000.</li>
<li>02.22% of the reported sales (2) had a list price over $3,000,000.</li>
<li>01.11% of the reported sales (1) had a list price over $4,000,000.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">JANUARY 01-31. 2012 SHORT SALE DATA: </span></strong></p>

<p>If you noticed that I haven’t posted anything in a few weeks it’s because my father passed away after a 5-month illness on December 11, 2011.  We’ve lost another member of the Greatest Generation who fought in WWII.  I will miss him dearly.  As a result, I’ve realized that life is too short and will now only be publishing my statistics at the end of each month.  Please also note some changes in the presentation of some of the data below.  The changes will be noted where they occur in the blog.  Please note that this survey contains data for Single Family Residences only. </p>
<p>The number of homes in the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Active</span></strong> status is down to 163 homes for this time period in January 2012 compared to 195 homes for the same time period in 2011 representing a<strong> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">16.41% decrease</span></strong>. </p>
<p>The number of homes in the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Pending</span></strong> status is up for this time period in January 2012 with 145 homes compared to 135 homes for the same time period in 2011 representing a <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">7.41% increase</span></strong>. </p>
<p>The number of homes that <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Closed Escrow December  2011 </span></strong>has <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">decreased 36.75% </span></strong>from last year with 74 in 2011 homes compared to 117 in 2010.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">DECEMBER  2011 CLOSED TRANSACTIONS:</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Belmont</span></strong> had 13 Closed Transactions. Five had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Burlingame</span></strong> had 10 Closed Transactions.  Seven had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Foster City</span></strong> had 8 Closed Transactions. Four had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Hillsborough</span></strong> had 4 Closed Transactions.  All four had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.  Two of those four had a Sales Price over $2,000,000.</li>

<li>36.49% of the Closed Transactions (27) had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li>02.70% of the Closed Transactions (2) had a Sales Price over $2,000,000.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">31.08%</span></strong> of the total December Closed Transactions (27 out of 74) <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">sold for the List Price or more</span></strong>.</p>

<p>Please note that this survey contains data for Single Family Residences only. </p>
<p>The number of homes in the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Active</span></strong> status is down to 234 homes for this time period in November 2011 compared to 284 homes for the same time period in 2010 representing a<strong> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">17.61% decrease</span></strong>.  The number of homes in the Active status has <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">decreased 7.87%</span></strong> compared to last week (254).</p>
<p>The number of homes in the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Pending</span></strong> status is down for this time period in November 2011 with 172 homes compared to 191 homes for the same time period in 2010 representing a <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">9.95% decrease</span></strong>.  The week-to-week number of homes in the Pending status <strong>has </strong><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">decreased 4.44% </span></strong><strong>compared to last week (</strong>180<strong>).</strong></p>
<p>The number of homes that <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Closed Escrow November 2011 </span></strong>has <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">decreased 0.91% </span></strong>from last year with 109 in 2011 homes compared to 110 in 2010.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">NOVEMBER 2011 CLOSED TRANSACTIONS:</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Belmont</span></strong> had 20 Closed Transactions. Seven had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Burlingame</span></strong> had 24 Closed Transactions.  Seventeen had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.  Two of those seventeen had a Sales Price over $2,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Foster City</span></strong> had 18 Closed Transactions. Seven had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Hillsborough</span></strong> had 7 Closed Transactions.  All seven had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.  Five of those seven had a Sales Price over $2,000,000. One of those five had a Sales Price over $3,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Redwood</span></strong><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> Shores</span></strong> had 4 Closed Transactions.  One had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">San Mateo</span></strong> had 36 Closed Transactions.  Eleven of them had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.   Two of those eleven had a Sales Price over $2,000,000.</li>
</ul>
<p>There were 109 total reported November Closed Transactions in these six communities.</p>
<ul>
<li>33.03% of the Closed Transactions (36) were in San Mateo.</li>
<li>22.02% of the Closed Transactions (24) were in Burlingame.</li>
<li>18.35% of the Closed Transactions (20) were in Belmont.</li>
<li>45.87% of the Closed Transactions (50) had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li>08.26% of the Closed Transactions (9) had a Sales Price over $2,000,000.</li>
<li>00.92% of the Closed Transactions (1) had a Sales Price over $3,000,000.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">34.86%</span></strong> of the total November Closed Transactions (38 out of 109) <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">sold for the List Price or more</span></strong>.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">PROPERTIES “IN CONTRACT” NOVEMBER 2011:</span></strong></p>
<p>The following are some numbers from a survey that I don’t post in a spreadsheet or chart on this blog, but review with my office at our weekly sales meetings.   Each week I do a report on “What has sold?”  This survey represents all the properties in all Pending statuses and Sold status that have a reported “Sale Date” from the beginning of the month in each of the communities I survey.  This information gives us a better indication of what types of properties and price ranges that are currently selling.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Belmont</span></strong> had 16 sales ratified.  Seven of them had a List Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Burlingame</span></strong> had 19 ratified sales.  Twelve of them had a List Price over $1,000,000. </li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Foster City</span></strong> had 8 ratified sales.   Two had a List Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Hillsborough</span></strong> had 5 ratified sales.  All five had a List Price over $1,000,000.  Three of those five had a List Price over $2,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Redwood</span></strong><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> Shores</span></strong> had 2 ratified sales. Neither of them had a List Price above $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">San Mateo</span></strong> had 52 reported sales.  Seven of them had a List Price above $1,000,000.  One of those seven had a List Price above $2,000,000.</li>
</ul>

<li>There were 102 total reported November sales in these six communities.</li>
<li>43.90% of the reported sales (52) were in San Mateo.</li>
<li>17.89% of the reported sales (19) were in Burlingame.</li>
<li>16.26% of the reported sales (16) were in Belmont.</li>

<li>02.44% of the reported sales (4) had a list price over $2,000,000.</li>

<p>The number of homes in the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Active</span></strong> status is down to 254 homes for this time period in November 2011 compared to 300 homes for the same time period in 2010 representing a<strong> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">15.33% decrease</span></strong>.  The number of homes in the Active status has <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">decreased 4.15%</span></strong> compared to last week (265).</p>
<p>The number of homes in the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Pending</span></strong> status is down for this time period in November 2011 with 180 homes compared to 198 homes for the same time period in 2010 representing a <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">9.09% decrease</span></strong>.  The week-to-week number of homes in the Pending status <strong>has </strong><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">increased 1.12% </span></strong><strong>compared to last week (</strong>178<strong>).</strong></p>
<p>The number of homes that <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Closed Escrow November 2011 Month-to-Date</span></strong> has <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">decreased 19.05% </span></strong>from last year with 85 in 2011 homes compared to 105 in 2010.</p>

<p>The number of homes in the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Active</span></strong> status is down to 290 homes for this time period in October 2011 compared to 352 homes for the same time period in 2010 representing a<strong> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">17.61% decrease</span></strong>.  The number of homes in the Active status has <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">increased 3.20%</span></strong> compared to last week (281).</p>
<p>The number of homes in the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Pending</span></strong> status is down for this time period in October 2011 with 185 homes compared to 216 homes for the same time period in 2010 representing a <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">0.98% decrease</span></strong>.  The week-to-week number of homes in the Pending status <strong>has </strong><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">decreased 10.63% </span></strong><strong>compared to last week (</strong>207<strong>).</strong></p>
<p>The number of homes that <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Closed Escrow October 2011 </span></strong>has <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">decreased 15.05% </span></strong>from last year with 79 in 2011 homes compared to 93 in 2010.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">OCTOBER 2011 CLOSED TRANSACTIONS:</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Belmont</span></strong> had 11 Closed Transactions. Four had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Burlingame</span></strong> had 12 Closed Transactions.  Seven had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.  Two of those seven had a Sales Price over $2,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Foster City</span></strong> had 4 Closed Transactions. One had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Hillsborough</span></strong> had 8 Closed Transactions.  All eight had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.  Four of those eight had a Sales Price over $2,000,000. Two of those four had a Sales Price over $4,000,000. One of those two had a Sales Price over $4,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Redwood</span></strong><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> Shores</span></strong> had 4 Closed Transactions.  Two had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">San Mateo</span></strong> had 40 Closed Transactions.  Nine of them had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.   One of those nine had a Sales Price over $2,000,000.</li>

<p>There were 79 total reported October Closed Transactions in these six communities.</p>

<li>01.27% of the Closed Transactions (1) had a Sales Price over $5,000,000.</li>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">40.51%</span></strong> of the total October Closed Transactions (32 out of 79) <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">sold for the List Price or more</span></strong>.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">PROPERTIES “IN CONTRACT” OCTOBER 2011:</span></strong></p>
<p>The following are some numbers from a survey that I don’t post in a spreadsheet or chart on this blog, but review with my office at our weekly sales meetings.   Each week I do a report on “What has sold?”  This survey represents all the properties in all Pending statuses and Sold status that have a reported “Sale Date” from the beginning of the month in each of the communities I survey.  This information gives us a better indication of what types of properties and price ranges that are currently selling.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Belmont</span></strong> had 20 sales ratified.  Five of them had a List Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Burlingame</span></strong> had 22 ratified sales.  Thirteen of them had a List Price over $1,000,000. </li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Foster City</span></strong> had 19 ratified sales.   Four had a List Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Hillsborough</span></strong> had 5 ratified sales.  All five had a List Price over $1,000,000.  Two of those five had a List Price over $2,000,000. One of those two had a List Price over $3,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Redwood</span></strong><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> Shores</span></strong> had 3 ratified sales. None of them had a List Price above $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">San Mateo</span></strong> had 54 reported sales.  Eight of them had a List Price above $1,000,000. </li>

<p>The number of homes in the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Active</span></strong> status is down to 290 homes for this time period in October 2011 compared to 392 homes for the same time period in 2010 representing a<strong> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">26.02% decrease</span></strong>.  The number of homes in the Active status has <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">decreased 0.68%</span></strong> compared to last week (292).</p>
<p>The number of homes in the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Pending</span></strong> status is down for this time period in October 2011 with 198 homes compared to 213 homes for the same time period in 2010 representing a <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">7.04% decrease</span></strong>.  The week-to-week number of homes in the Pending status <strong>has </strong><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">increased 1.54% </span></strong><strong>compared to last week (195).</strong></p>
<p>The number of homes that <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Closed Escrow October 2011 Month-to-Date</span></strong> has <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">decreased 20.63% </span></strong>from last year with 50 in 2011 homes compared to 63 in 2010.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">OCTOBER 2011 MONTH-TO-DATE CLOSED TRANSACTIONS:</span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Belmont</span></strong> had 4 Closed Transactions. Two had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Burlingame</span></strong> had 9 Closed Transactions.  Six had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.  Two of those six had a Sales Price over $2,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Foster City</span></strong> had 1 Closed Transaction.  It had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Hillsborough</span></strong> had 7 Closed Transactions.  All seven had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.  Three of those seven had a Sales Price over $2,000,000. One of those three had a Sales Price over $5,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Redwood</span></strong><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> Shores</span></strong> had 1 Closed Transaction.  It had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">San Mateo</span></strong> had 28 Closed Transactions.  Eight of them had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.   One of those eight had a Sales Price over $2,000,000.</li>
</ul>
<p>There were 50 total reported October Month-To-Date Closed Transactions in these six communities.</p>
<ul>
<li>56.00% of the Closed Transactions (28) were in San Mateo.</li>
<li>18.00% of the Closed Transactions (9) were in Burlingame.</li>
<li>14.00% of the Closed Transactions (7) were in Hillsborough.</li>
<li>50.00% of the Closed Transactions (25) had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li>12.00% of the Closed Transactions (6) had a Sales Price over $2,000,000.</li>
<li>02.00% of the Closed Transactions (1) had a Sales Price over $5,000,000.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">48.00%</span></strong> of the total October Month-To-Date Closed Transactions (24 out of 50) <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">sold for the List Price or more</span></strong>.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">PROPERTIES “IN CONTRACT” OCTOBER 2011 MONTH-TO-DATE:</span></strong></p>
<p>The following are some numbers from a survey that I don’t post in a spreadsheet or chart on this blog, but review with my office at our weekly sales meetings.   Each week I do a report on “What has sold?”  This survey represents all the properties in all Pending statuses and Sold status that have a reported “Sale Date” from the beginning of the month in each of the communities I survey.  This information gives us a better indication of what types of properties and price ranges that are currently selling.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Belmont</span></strong> had 19 sales ratified.  Five of them had a List Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Burlingame</span></strong> had 17 ratified sales.  Eight of them had a List Price over $1,000,000. </li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Foster City</span></strong> had 15 ratified sales.   Four had a List Price over $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Hillsborough</span></strong> had 4 ratified sales.  All four had a List Price over $1,000,000.  One of those four had a List Price over $2,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Redwood</span></strong><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> Shores</span></strong> had 3 ratified sales. One of them had a List Price above $1,000,000.</li>
<li><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">San Mateo</span></strong> had 31 reported sales.  Five of them had a List Price above $1,000,000. </li>
</ul>

<li>There were 89 total reported October Month-To-Date sales in these six communities.</li>
<li>34.83% of the reported sales (31) were in San Mateo.</li>
<li>21.35% of the reported sales (19) were in Belmont.</li>
<li>19.10% of the reported sales (17) were in Burlingame.</li>
<li>30.34% of the reported sales (27) had a list price over $1,000,000</li>
<li>01.12% of the reported sales (1) had a list price over $2,000,000.</li>
